I enjoyed your first American history series and American English narration. I am Japanese and Japan has been very deeply influenced by America but American history looks very complicated to me, so your video is pretty clear, easy to understand, and very educational. Thank you for creating such a good video.
For anyone confused about the out of 43 ranking. This was before Trump when there was 44. And Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th, so the same person counts as 2 separate ones. So only 43 people had been president at the time.
Grant disagreed with the adversarial stance taken by the Army against the Indians. It was General Sherman who appointed Sheridan and pursued aggression towards them, and rightfully so after Hancock was far too lenient. The Lakota and Cheyenne were launching raids on settlements and wiping out entire families to almost no retaliation. Then Sherman replaces Hancock with Sheridan in command of the region and all of a sudden it's "poor Indians."

Yeah. I think he is a highly underrated president. He happened to tick off everybody. lol. It was because it was cultural phenomenon for over 100 years before the USA was even founded. On top of that, much of the country was economically dependent on slaves
@Wavygeronimo it’s kinda ironic the guy who made the cotton gin did it to make it easier for slaves and to help them but ended up accidentally making slavery popular again because of how easy it was to get cotton
Let's face, old Georgie wasn't, how you say, qualified for the job. He didn't know really anything about politics a few arguably loosely understood the economy and diplomatic agenda. However, he was the most popular man in the country, a great peacemaker, and a figure of union. The only thing he had to do was to make sure the United States stayed neutral, peaceful, and wealthy, and make sure the whole damn thing didn't collapse off the bat. So yes, he was a great president, one of the but not the best.
Kate x "The only thing he had to do," are you joking? The United States was neither neutral, peaceful, or wealthy when he became President. The North and South were already barking at each other, there would be TWO rebellions he had to put down, and the populace was fervently gunning to either invade Canada or help the French in their revolution. George Washington was tempted time and time again to take the reins of power as a dictator, but he resisted every single time. He led the United States through a period of great uncertainty, when the government could barely pay its own bills and the new American currency was practically worthless, and he turned all of that around. His strength of character, his principles, and his commitment to the new republic echoed throughout American history, and no President *dared* break the precedents he set until FDR, and even then, it was only under dire circumstances. A struggling young nation on the frontier of civilization could not have wished for a better leader from such inauspicious beginnings, and he safeguarded us from the very worst kind of strongmen that so plagued other nascent democracies like those of South America and in France.
Lmao, Jackson is bottom 3 and may be the worst President of all time. He made the economy collapse and went running for the hills. Taking away the Central Banks led to the first economic disaster in America, that's why he disnt run for a third term. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Indians and Javkson unconstitutionally removed them from their land in the most cruel way. Also a funny side note about how much of a clown Jackson was. He through a big MAGA inauguration party at the White House and his followers trashed the place and he had to sneak out of the back. Oh bbn yah, what a hero. He also murdered 2 innocent Spanish soldiers to hint down slaves in Spanish Florida. Andrew Jackson was a war criminal, a regular criminal, should have been impeached and destroyed the economy. Bravo

And I Think You Shuold be put Abe's Lincoln in the top 5 US President
I'd hazard a minor quibble about the Madison description. The US was, by any reasonable standard, the aggressor in 1812, opportunistically capitalising on Britain being tied up in the more important Napoleonic Wars to make a landgrab. Far from it being to protect American rights at sea, the case for war was retroactively changed to that of impressment once it became known that Britain had already repealed the Orders in Council 1807 that America had claimed as their reason for it. America was on the warpath and did not want to negotiate the matter peacefully, despite the British already having made concessions and willing to make more (as evidenced by the fact that impressment, the retroactive casus belli, was repealed before the war's end rather than as the terms of peace).
I think I remember this being an essay question at university! I think you have a reasonable point of view, but I would put more emphasis on British provocations (Chesapeake affair etc.) in putting America on the warpath, and creating a desire for war amongst a young nation very sensitive about insults to its standing. I think the potential land-grab was completely opportunistic, but within the context of intolerable infringements on America's status as an independent nation.
Epic- You should've placed emphasis on the fact that the US didn't WIN the war of 1812, as well as the White House itself being burned down, the capital taken too, however briefly.

James Monroe and Abraham Lincoln are the 2 best presidents in history. There’s plenty of other Greats out there but those are undeniably the best presidents we’ve ever had just at the right time when we needed them.
Lincoln was not a good president he let the civil war drag for 4 years and replaced generals for every failure and had no idea how to win the war and how to beat General Lee. Until Grant and Sherman used the outnumbered 4 to 1 strategy on the south. Lee surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse. Lincoln wasn't even waging the war against slavery, and the emancipation proclamation was completely stupid. Lincoln only freed the slaves for Abolitionist support in the north, Lincoln only did what was best for Abraham Lincoln.
TestYourLuck - Next Level Gaming I agree he wasn't that great.. but you're too harsh on him. A war is a war, you can't just end it with the snap of his fingers. His emancipation proclamation was to rally northern support for the war by making it a war about slavery (which it really was). Though the proclamation didn't have a huge effect. Besides, he had been a moderate and only wanted the country united. The generals he replaced were a mixed bag. Some really did suck. One refused to chase down a defeated Lee because his own men were tired.

I have watched this Channel's Video: History of Russia & Presidents of US
Till now, i never dissapointed about the whole video, great support from us ❤️
Its really fun learning about US history
The only people i love learning the most is
George washington
And
Abraham Lincoln
I wish you guys would make an American series. Revolutionary war, Civil War, various wars with the native Americans, and so on.
Is it just me, or is it shocking how long slavery was a huge issue for our country? Very well done, can't wait for next week's video!
Thank you.
What's shocking to me is how slavery is still a huge issue for so many people now, in 2021.
@@TheMoravians Because the fight for racial equality still continued throughout the world even after slavery was abolished.
This is helping me and my friends no more about our history, thx man I think what I are doing on the channel is great keep it up👍
George Washington is *4th*? The Hell he is. The only president that can hold a candle to him is Lincoln.
He was also a genocidal maniac
TAsill K ...No he wasn't. Like, not even close.
I haven't watched part 2 yet but I'm betting they name JFK the best president for some damn reason.
I love your content! Truly love learning about our Presidents!
please make a series on Indian history .. these series are of great use :) god bless the creator of this channel
Thank you.
0:11 I literally see the 45th president in an ad right before you say that campaigning for his reelection
The American political parties agree with a incredible challenges ahead balance of power
I Watch This For Many Times
I feel so much smarter watching this
omg this series is bound to get hundreds of thousands of views.
quality shit
Thanks Hamad!
But why not talk about Andrew Jackson's thoughts on a federal bank
Man was a hero.. Way underrated
He certainly was a badass president, I personally consider Andrew Jackson a C tier president imo, he has both good and bad things going for him
Lmao, Jackson is bottom 3 and may be the worst President of all time. Bravo
@@mikehenderson134 that's all? Lmao

outstanding quality, i miss the old voice though :(
Yup, Charles will be back, but I thought an American was more appropriate for this subject.
They replaced just in 1 video and you already miss the old one?
It was, awesome video!
Videos like this make UA-cam a slightly better place xD
small correction: the picture on the left at 1:10 is actually George Washington. other than that, amazing video!
James K Polk was the hardest working person to ever assume the Presidency. He accomplished all his goals, made us a continental country.
John adamd was the first vice president to become president
This channel is amazing.
now... Donald Trump
He's a 1000000 times better than Hillary.

Charles Nove will definitely be back, I just thought for a series on America's presidents an American narrator would be appropriate.

Henry Harrison: oh boy I won!

Amazing as usual!
Grant wasn't from Illinois, he was from Ohio.
Yup, that's his birth-state, but I've used states of 'primary affiliation' for this video, as based on this article:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States_by_home_state
(apart from William Henry Harrison, who I forgot to change back from Virginia to Ohio)
2:46 Trail of Tears? Pshaw! You make it sound so civil and nice!
"Held no firm political beliefs." The perfect president.
Ok I just learnt More by this video than my History Class In High school
I love Honest Abe and Washingtin
Or should I say, George Washing Machine! 😉
Thomas Jefferson Separation & states
I thank you for putting me in.
Jefferson and Lincoln both of them still the best President for Me, they maked an American can look a future, Lincoln he has been remove apharteid for their country, human rights act, and give to American citizen change to get a job. Jefferson he's a Founding Father of the United State, he create American more better than John Adams when he take a leadership President of the United State, that's way Jefferson and Lincoln both of them my favourite President of The United State.
Thomas Jefferson tried to destroy the Manufacturing Industry and thought we should all be Yoeman farmers. Jefferson was rt about personal freedoms, hypocritically, but his economic policies wer a joke and he went broke as well. Not in the top 5, not close
@@mikehenderson134
Well my brother mike, I think Lincoln He's The top 5 US President, her contribution to American Government, especially when he make a rules Homestead act, Human Rights act until Emancipation Proclamation in January 1st 1863 for all American People, save a slavery. Until he died in 1865 when he watch Opera in Ford Theatre Washington DC between the First Lady Mrs. Marry Anne Todd Lincoln,, he died without her faith it's because Humanity, Liberty, and a Freedom for all American People. I know the Lincoln History, that's why in My Country Indonesia, Lincoln's name is so famously. He's a Good Person, Gorgeous, Smart and Behavior. And I Think You Shuold be put Abe's Lincoln in the top 5 US President

Excellent video congratulations
Can we just appreciate the amazing music I love it !
About the Monroe Doctrine, this is violated thrice during World Wars One and Two and The Cold War.
I guess you mean twice in the World Wars and too many times in the Cold war
This is amazing!
No matter who wins, America is fucked anyways.
if Trump wins you will eat your words
I don;t agree with either candidate, but saying America is "fucked" is an over-exaturation
By building an useless wall?

James Monroe and Abraham Lincoln are the 2 best presidents in history. There’s plenty of other Greats out there but those are undeniably the best presidents we’ve ever had just at the right time when we needed them.
why not George Washington? the most difficult thing in the world is to abandon power which is extremely attractive.
@@shaosmooth16 I’d say he definitely is top 3. I’d rank him 3rd. Abraham 1st, Monroe 2nd, Washington 3rd imo.
Lincoln gotta be #1 and GWB gotta be #44. Even the guy that only lasted 3 days was better than GWB.
WHH lasted 30
Interesting video!Greetings from the Netherlands.
I won the civil war cause I am not a loser
Great video!
Lincoln Ranking Should Be 1 Im Upset And Confused lincoln is the one of the best president Of AMERICA
Lincoln was a despot and a tyrant.

To be fair, this did in part play a factor into the economic mess of 1837 that he left for Martin van buren.
