8:20 Ok but Aizawa shutting up Mic to speak for what Bakugou's actions convey just shows how good of a teacher he is and that he understands even his most aggressive students feelings because he's cared enough to notice that there's more to Bakugou's mentality than just anger.
I mean yeah, they're both in class 1-A for a reason, they're both in the hero course for a reason. Aizawa telling those heroes to quit and go job hunting was so cathartic. I also feel it would be insulting if he held back "just cause she's a girl" or "his quirk is too powerful". Like seriously, cause a villain would care that you're unprepared? Like a villain wouldn't use their quirks to their fullest just cause you're weaker?
Is nobody going to talk about how Bakugou was literally about to have a panic attack when he found out that Midoriya could beat him but got stopped by All Might?
Actually the panic attack was a combination of Deku winning, seeing what Deku's quirk does to him and the fact he HIMSELF hurt Deku. All of that together sent him spiralling bad.
Honestly the fact that bakugous character development is based around him realizing that he isn't the best, he won't ever be the best, and there will be things that can hurt him, while also giving him the support he needs from his peers, allowing him to know that he is allowed to be weak, that he can ask for help, and help others, is something so special to me. The idea that this kid, who was raised by the people that surrounded him to believe that he was something untouchable, realizing his flaws and instead of allowing it to beat him down, he adds it as fuel to the fire to keep him going. It's a great character arc I'm so happy with where he's going.
This is why Bakugo is my favourite character Not cuz he's hot or he has anger issues, but because he is an amazingly written character with a great development
@@minaashido9383 I think it’s because Todoroki was supposed to be a side character in season one (season one’s main characters were Deku/Uraraka/Iida), in season two however, Most of class 1-A’s students (if not all of them) were treated equally, so we couldn’t tell who are the main characters; but then we ought to know that the main characters in season 3/4/5/etc are now stable, and they’re the iconic trio of the series (Deku/Bakugou/Todoroki).
The moment I absolutely started to love him was when Bakugou fought Uraraka at the festival and did not underestimate her even though she was on the ground. He still got in combat position and didn't even think about her being done with him. 🙏🏽
I start to loose my annoyance towards him after he got abducted by league of villain, i mean i'm shocked that he only has one goal in mind (being a no 1 hero) despite his attitude seems like he could be a bad guy, and now i completely love him lololol
Lol while I'm sure they could've killed Bakugou, the League by that point were hardly strong enough to take on one hero. Remember later on it took three of them to kill Snatch.
I saw this theory where Bakugo is angry all the time because the nitroglycerin is constantly lowering his heart rate. So he has to be angry to stay alive.
@@neil5694 I don't believe that headcanon because it goes a bit too much into realism, but I do like the headcanon that part of why he yells and uses his quirk so much outside of fights besides intimidation is because otherwise his sweat will stick to shit, and as we know from the movies, that shit is easily flammable.

It's so sad, the whole time Bakugo thought Deku was looking down on him. But in reality he always looked up to him. Like Bakugo doesn't know what it's like to have real friends. I wonder if the kids in the past just followed him around because he was strong and didnt actually care about him. So maybe Deku actually caring confuses him.

Exactly, the kids and the teachers in his kindergarten and middleschool acknowledged his strength but not the heart.deku who had a kind heart was looked down by everyone for not having a quirk.i mean they are kids so what you expect.for katsuki strength and winning makes a hero .So he never understood "kindness" which many people are literally meming about (when izuku gave his hand to katsuki when he fell into a river).Its really sad when people don't get these kinds of things sigh.
Bakugo watching Deku cry after All Might burnt out, without a word, without a frown, totally silent. That's where he changed, the fight after that was just for show.
I'm pretty sure it's because he realized that Deku is actually Allmight's prodigy given also the hint of 'borrowed power'. He saw Deku being the only one who understands what Allmight is actually saying. It's not him being caring. It's him being observant.
Jiju _ it’s totally true bakugo is being protective of deku if you just read the manga, you will see how many times bakugo saved deku to the point that bakugo risk his life just for deku. Even after the war when the whole class A said deku will be alright since almight is with him but deku pursue the whole class and said “when it comes to deku or all might, i know them better than endeavor, better than anyone else” . Bakugo is always angry but he has his own way of protecting others almight and aizawa even knows it
Fun fact: His mom has a sweat quirk that makes her skin moist and that makes her look young and beautiful. His dad also has sweat quirk, and when he slams his hands together he can create little explosion.

His dad actually wanted to become a hero, but his quirk wasn't really made for it. So he got a different job. It was a fashion industry job. He met his wife there, who aggressively hit on him, until he eventually dated her ect xD.

Well not suprising considering how he was raised to always be strong, yet put down when he's being a "burden" to others by his ma, This goes to him not let anyone try to help him cause he doesn't wanna be seen as weak, which translates to "your a burden, you can't get back up yourself, so I have to do it for you." As looking down on him, in his mind.
I remember i got so pissed when everyone i the crowd bullied Bakugo. He didn't hold back for anyone else yet when it's a girl they accuse him for not going easier. She is amazingly strong willed and has a powerful quick. Gender shouldn't be a reason to hold back. I felt so sorry for him and Ururaka. Imagine the embarrassment they both felt, Ururaka basically being told by her audience she's not strong enough and Bakugo getting told he's awful for fighting against his female opponent.
Also....if he had held back it would be like an insult to uraraka I think he considered that too do he went all out against her and yeah I was feeling pity for uraraka but I was enjoying bakugo's action scenes....
Coming back to this after seeing Bakugo apologize to Deku for everything he did to him growing up. Words can't can't describe how beautiful that moment was to see how far Bakugo has come.

@@cloudyceo4708 It can be hard to believe that Bakugou is abused because his mother understood Bakugou. She also let him live in the dorms because she noticed that Aizawa understood him too. However, at the end of the day, we cannot deny that she smacked Bakugou. He even mentioned in season 4 episode 16 that violence is necessary to discipline kids and that it was how he was raised. Violence isn’t a good choice for discipline. It can give children the message that smacking or hitting other people is an OK way to deal with strong feelings. Children who are smacked can be more aggressive than children who aren’t smacked. They’re more likely to have a challenging behavior, anxiety, or depression. There are better ways than smacking to guide your children towards good behavior. So I think that it is reasonable to say she is an abusive parent. I also noticed that Bakugou's father is more on the quiet side so I personally think he just let it happen. I'm an anime fan that only watched 4 seasons so there should be stuff that I didn't mention.

I feel bad for Bakugo because he acts like he has a huge ego and even tho he partly doesn’t. Deep down, he’s also insecure because he believes that people don’t believe In his abilities and he feels like he appears weak and feels like being nice is another way of being weak. It’s more like he’s trying to prove his worth to himself more than anyone else. It’s sad truly.
It's not just *like* that, it really is. He's scared he's not up to scratch and that all his work is for nothing, so he tries to blast his way through it (surprisingly it actually works quite well for him)
I wouldn't say it's like that. Ever since he was little everyone boasted about his power, so much so that he started to believe it himself. He doesn't act like he has a huge ego he *does* have a huge ego. He has a god complex. And his whole thing with Deku was that Bakugo truly believed he was untouchable and the greatest, so whenever Deku, someone he saw as weaker and below him, always rushed to help him Bakugo saw it as if Deku either expected him to fail and thought he was weak/on equal footing with him. Example, when he fell in the water. He knew he was fine and everyone else knew he was fine, but Deku rushed in to help him. He thought "this quirkless nobody believes that I'm not special or strong like everyone else and that I'm weak enough to need help from someone like him". And that rocked Bakugo to his core because it would bring self doubt. Since he has such a huge ego he saw everyone around him as useless, but as the series progresses he begins to chip away at his ego and become more reasonable/compassionate.
What's funny is that the writer originally wanted to make bakugo a nice guy and actually friends with izuku from the start and encourage him to be a hero despite being quirkless, but the writer thought it was too boring so he made him like this instead
what ive noticed is that his base personality/character stayed the same, mainly venting his thoughts and feelings through yelling/anger, though over time, he's learned to balance out his emotions more, you can se that he's usually more calm now and it takes much more for him to start full out yelling, he still, of course, throws insults around, but unlike his genuine attempts to be condescending, his insults are now in a much more joking manner. basically: still yell boi, not as much
He has grown so much. Still very loud though. He knows his place in society and what i means to BE A DECENT PERSON. I wish Endeavor when through this development when he was younger.
Fun fact: Katsuki Bakugou was originaly a nice person with a natural born talent., but the author realized that it would be boring so the author made him a nasty guy with explosive personality... 😁😁😁

Bakugo as a kid who was always praised and thought himself to be the best was suddenly faced with the fact that he won't always be strong and Midoriya reaching out to help him when he fell into the river. He thought Midoriya was looking down on him for being weak and hated him for a long time until he had to face multiple failures (i.e. losing first fight against Midoriya, Kamino incident, not passing the provisional license exam the first time around) before realizing he had to acknowledge he won't always be strong, he won't always get it right and that it's okay to be vulnerable and ask for help.

I wish they showed that instead of taking the easy way out and literally just telling the audience. That’s seriously my biggest problem with Bakugo, he never SHOWS development, only ever tells. It feels fake.
@@leonduncan3327 I think if Todoroki won, it would have made more sense. In his fight with Midorya, the whole story was about convincing Todoroki that his fire side was his, not his fathers. He finally uses it to beat Deku, and then in the finals, he decides not to use it against Bakugo? I thought that it was stupid to have him revert back to his old self after he received character development. I think they should have done the exact same thing with Deku vs Todoroki. But then, have Todoroki squash Bakugo in the finals. Todoroki wins the tournament, but, tells Endeavor that he did it for himself, not for his him. Bakugo gets a reality check that he's not as good as he thinks he is. And Deku still sparks a friendship with Todoroki since he helped him realize that his power is his own.

i love Midoriya, genuinely. He looked up even with every obstacle, every difficulty and hardship in his path. Most people would have given up, but he kept going. That's the true working of a hero. A worthy hero who'll shine bright in the darkest hour.

Yes, because everyone else is like ''OMG DABI AND SHOTO ILY" even if they aren't the best characters in the show. That's the proof that if the character is hot, nobody cares about the others. Don't get me wrong, I like the Todoroki's, but Endeavor is better in my opinion and they are just overrated.
People say Bakugo didn’t have development just because his aggressive personality is intact. But if you look back, he really does change. Some people also say Izuku and Bakugo aren’t friends, but then Bakugo only openly cries in front of Midoriya. He even held his tears back from all might. He’s just angry lol, he’s not a bad guy. (Also personally I think he tries to hide his friendship with Deku because he might be afraid of attachment)
The 'Afraid of attachment' is 100% right. Bakugo is scared of letting Deku in because of his self sacrificial nature. You imagine caring about someone knowing they could get themselves killed at any moment. The manga literally confirms that thought.

He's tough and has the personality of Vegeta with explosives, but if you earn his respect, you've got a powerhouse on your side. He's hard on everyone, but that's because he cares. A lot. And he doesn't want people to get hurt. For any reason. He wants to take the hits so that others don't have to. But he's also a thrill seeker. And he grins every chance he gets. Like All Might. Him and Deku are two sides of the same coin. One's strong but prideful, the other is driven and humble.
I forgot how he was obsessed with fame and money at the start. Deku really did become his image of saving others. Just like Bakugo being Deku’s image of victory And I forgot how emotional his speech to Uzuku was
Who else noticed that Midoriya has always called Backugo Kaachan, and he never got mad. 🤔 I think he embraced the name in a similar way to how Midoriya uses Deku.
Well I think he just got used to it since all his friends called him that too when they were little, however, I heard that "chan" is used for girls and if you call a boy by his name with the "chan" at the end (like Izuku does when he calls Bakugo Katchan) he'll take it in a bad way (for kids it's ok but like for a grown boy), so I kinda find it weird he doesn't mind but maybe I'm just mistaken or something🤷🏻♀️

I'm so proud of him. It's like watching a feral cat slowly let its walls of defense come down. He's come a longggg way, especially in the battle against 1B like how awesome is he?! But still, I feel like some people choose to ignore and discredit his character development because his personality remained the same- hotheaded. Nevertheless, once the future manga chapters get animated, I hope people will give him a chance. THE WIERD THING IS when first seeing bakagou and understanding that he is a mean bully with a wrong understanding and high ego...his character aspects (sreaming at everyone etc.) Were something that frustrated me and made me hate him even more. BUT as the show went on, and he started to change and realise his issues, become a much nicer and over all better person...then the things about him and how he acts THAT USED TO PISS ME OFF i started to appreciate. I always hear bakagou lovers say how instead of disliking him for keeping his "annoying" attitude its soemthing they found nice and appreciate....soemthing they grew to love about him instead of hate. Now dont get me wrong hes still pretty annoying lol, but i think people have grown to see it differently just because of his growth as a character and person. Heck even the classmates dont care anymore because they know bakagou is a good person so they dont mind it :) DOES THAT MAKE SENCE i feel like none of that made sence 😅
I don’t hate him as much as I used to especially considering why he is the way he is. A big fish in a small pond being told time and time again your the best, to then get hit with the long arm of reality. Waking up realizing you aren’t the greatest like you’ve been told your entire life. That the one moment you could’ve gotten help, was from someone that didn’t have a quirk. That ego that people had fostered his entire life shattering, and him being shown time and time again he’s not as good as he thinks. Then going from him now longer denying it, but accepting it is amazing writing. However He’s still not my favorite, but his character development is still one of the best.
Bakugou manages to be my favourite character despite hardly ticking any boxes in my usual requirements for me to find a character cool. I definitely think he’s still annoying, but I absolutely love to see his character development (especially in the manga, but the ground beta fight was also a huge moment), and each time he shows that he’s grown, I love him a bit more. It’s like, knowing how shit a character is in the beginning makes each bit of progress that much more significant, and considering how fucked up Bakugou is psychologically, it makes it all the more impressive. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Bakugou (and for everyone) in the story :)

I think it's adorable that our little pomeranian feels comfortable opening up to our adorable cinnamon roll. Like, he never lets himself show any emotions in front of other people but has no problem letting himself vent in front of Izuku. It's adorable and I love that for them. Like, Izuku obviously still cares about Bakugo, even after everything, and in a twisted sense, Bakugo cares about Izuku as well, like, he's okay with being himself around Deku and can let himself go. He hasn't even gotten to that point with Kirishima yet (as far as I've seen, I'm too poor to stay up to date in the Manga so I have to wait for the anime).
Chapter 322 is why I searched for this video 😂 and I agree, it's such a big moment for Bakugo, and to be so open and honest in front of everyone shows how much he's changed
Bakugo’s charachter arc has been fantastic, moving along at a steady pace so it has time to be properly executed. He’s become one of my favorite characters now and I can’t wait to see where he goes next.

Just because Bakugou has had a lot of character development doesn't mean he has a "sEcReT sOfT siDE". Bakugou isn't a 'softie'. Thats a fact. But he still is incredible and I love him. He will always have that explosive attitude to him and he will always want to play leader and the best. But he has definately changed from who he used to be and I am so happy about that!
He really got pressed because his friend offered to help him. Izuku didn’t see him as weak, he looked up to him. I’m glad he got some character development. I love his fiery personality and his driven attitude...not so much his meanness and thinking everybody is tryna be better than him

You can also look at it as he was younger when this first started compared to now, his got is a little deeper. To me, he grew in more ways than one ☝️💥❤💥
To me, bakugo is the example of a kid with alot of pressure and admiration, and taking it too deeply to heart to the point of being aggressive. He has a quirk that his kindergarten teachers praised as strong, kids adored him. And when deku didn't get any, it was the pressure between strongest and weakest and took it the wrong way. He wanted to be the best, and wanted to constantly prove it. To the point where he bullied his childhood best friend because hus other friends got a positive reinforcement to it(notice in the younger flashbacks, bakugo starts mistreating deku when he has other kids at his back) and it slowly morphed into a habit for him. It's a case,in my understanding, of unlearning violence. Bakugo learned more about deku, and about his own faults. He blamed himself for hurting his hero, he felt awful having to be saved by deku instead of the other way around. And after he finally broke down and told deku everything, that he blames himself, he shifts. He is still gruff and almost rude to deku, but there is now nee context, new mind sets. Bakugo doesn't see deku as a weakling that needs to be belittled, he sees a tough rival who needs some pointers.
I used to be that kinda person so I know how he feels, he has an immense amount of pride and feels like he shouldn’t lean on anyone for companionship in order to not seem weak, the second he gets a true and unwavering friend and accepts them, he’ll turn into an awesome person. That’s what helped me
It was when Midoriya tried to save him during the sludge incident, that's when he actually changed. Coincidentally, that was also the day Bakugo told him to swan dive off of a roof. So possibly, he maybe regretted saying that to him? When Bakugo walked past Midoriya on the exam day, he only said "stupid Deku," didn't even tried to hurt him and/or mock him like you'd think he'd do. He was more quiet. The character development started THAT day.
It surprises me how deku still continued to look up to him even after he said that, like imagine your idol telling you to kill yourself that’s not something that should be ignored.
@@Deadwatch-gi2xc I think he doesn't idolize Bakugo the usual way, like how he idolizes All Might, Deku sees everything bad about him, but chooses to focus on things that he can't, but Bakugo, being of the same age, on the same lvl, can, he chooses to see the best parts of him and tries to catch up to that, so he can learn and grow himself
because he realized deku actually cared. seems like most people cant put up with his personality and whatever. but when no one was helping him during that incident w the villian he realized deku was there for him. i have a feeling it made him realize that he would always be there for him. and throughout the series it became apparent. then, bakugou understood it even more to protect him. and deku also said in the beginning “ever since that day kacchan never bothered me again” or something along those lines. and in the second movie bakugou cared so much abt deku. he didnt even want to take one for all bc he was concerned that if he did, deku would lose the power. also what was rlly interesting was during one of the fights, im pretty sure against class 1B he said multiple times to his classmates “ill always protect you guys”. even if he said it in his angry manner he still meant it. i think deku is amazing for bakugou. and he sees that. bc he opened his eyes to a new aspect of being a hero and it’s helped him improve sm and deep down bakugou will forever acknowledge that and return the favor to everyone else and deku. he also saw the way he never gave up and admired that. so in some kind of sense, that day, bakugou never directly picked on deku ever again bc he realized he may have been rude to him all his life but deku would never want to see him struggle. and then came all the times bakugou returned that favor. i think thats whats really amazing

His character development is just, wow, like. Him telling that kid that if he looks down on everybody he'll never be able to see his own weaknesses. He's coming from perspective and the fact that he's changed so much makes me extremely happy

Honestly the fact that bakugous character development is based around him realizing that he isn't the best, he won't ever be the best, and there will be things that can hurt him, while also giving him the support he needs from his peers, allowing him to know that he is allowed to be weak, that he can ask for help, and help others, is something so special to me. The idea that this kid, who was raised by the people that surrounded him to believe that he was something untouchable, realizing his flaws and instead of allowing it to beat him down, he adds it as fuel to the fire to keep him going. It's a great character arc I'm so happy with where he's going.

@@minaashido9383 I think it’s because Todoroki was supposed to be a side character in season one (season one’s main characters were Deku/Uraraka/Iida), in season two however, Most of class 1-A’s students (if not all of them) were treated equally, so we couldn’t tell who are the main characters; but then we ought to know that the main characters in season 3/4/5/etc are now stable, and they’re the iconic trio of the series (Deku/Bakugou/Todoroki).
The moment I absolutely started to love him was when Bakugou fought Uraraka at the festival and did not underestimate her even though she was on the ground. He still got in combat position and didn't even think about her being done with him. 🙏🏽

Even after the war when the whole class A said deku will be alright since almight is with him but deku pursue the whole class and said “when it comes to deku or all might, i know them better than endeavor, better than anyone else” . I remember i got so pissed when everyone i the crowd bullied Bakugo. He didn't hold back for anyone else yet when it's a girl they accuse him for not going easier. She is amazingly strong willed and has a powerful quick. Gender shouldn't be a reason to hold back. I felt so sorry for him and Ururaka. Imagine the embarrassment they both felt, Ururaka basically being told by her audience she's not strong enough and Bakugo getting told he's awful for fighting against his female opponent.

However, at the end of the day, we cannot deny that she smacked Bakugou. He even mentioned in season 4 episode 16 that violence is necessary to discipline kids and that it was how he was raised.
Violence isn’t a good choice for discipline. It can give children the message that smacking or hitting other people is an OK way to deal with strong feelings. Children who are smacked can be more aggressive than children who aren’t smacked. They’re more likely to have a challenging behavior, anxiety, or depression.
There are better ways than smacking to guide your children towards good behavior. So I think that it is reasonable to say she is an abusive parent. I also noticed that Bakugou's father is more on the quiet side so I personally think he just let it happen.

I feel bad for Bakugo because he acts like he has a huge ego and even tho he partly doesn’t. Deep down, he’s also insecure because he believes that people don’t believe In his abilities and he feels like he appears weak and feels like being nice is another way of being weak. It’s more like he’s trying to prove his worth to himself more than anyone else. It’s sad truly.

I wouldn't say it's like that. Ever since he was little everyone boasted about his power, so much so that he started to believe it himself. He doesn't act like he has a huge ego he *does* have a huge ego. He has a god complex. And his whole thing with Deku was that Bakugo truly believed he was untouchable and the greatest, so whenever Deku, someone he saw as weaker and below him, always rushed to help him Bakugo saw it as if Deku either expected him to fail and thought he was weak/on equal footing with him. Example, when he fell in the water. He knew he was fine and everyone else knew he was fine, but Deku rushed in to help him. He thought "this quirkless nobody believes that I'm not special or strong like everyone else and that I'm weak enough to need help from someone like him". And that rocked Bakugo to his core because it would bring self doubt.
Since he has such a huge ego he saw everyone around him as useless, but as the series progresses he begins to chip away at his ego and become more reasonable/compassionate.

What's funny is that the writer originally wanted to make bakugo a nice guy and actually friends with izuku from the start and encourage him to be a hero despite being quirkless, but the writer thought it was too boring so he made him like this instead

what ive noticed is that his base personality/character stayed the same, mainly venting his thoughts and feelings through yelling/anger, though over time, he's learned to balance out his emotions more, you can se that he's usually more calm now and it takes much more for him to start full out yelling, he still, of course, throws insults around, but unlike his genuine attempts to be condescending, his insults are now in a much more joking manner.

Bakugo as a kid who was always praised and thought himself to be the best was suddenly faced with the fact that he won't always be strong and Midoriya reaching out to help him when he fell into the river. He thought Midoriya was looking down on him for being weak and hated him for a long time until he had to face multiple failures (i.e. losing first fight against Midoriya, Kamino incident, not passing the provisional license exam the first time around) before realizing he had to acknowledge he won't always be strong, he won't always get it right and that it's okay to be vulnerable and ask for help.

@@leonduncan3327 I think if Todoroki won, it would have made more sense. In his fight with Midorya, the whole story was about convincing Todoroki that his fire side was his, not his fathers. He finally uses it to beat Deku, and then in the finals, he decides not to use it against Bakugo? I thought that it was stupid to have him revert back to his old self after he received character development. I think they should have done the exact same thing with Deku vs Todoroki. But then, have Todoroki squash Bakugo in the finals. Todoroki wins the tournament, but, tells Endeavor that he did it for himself, not for his him. Bakugo gets a reality check that he's not as good as he thinks he is. And Deku still sparks a friendship with Todoroki since he helped him realize that his power is his own.
I need a part 2 of this, but this time chapter 362 is included since I'm freaking proud at how Bakugo went from *“You can never beat me, Deku.”* to *“Tell me, Izuku. Will I reach you someday?”* OQBXHMMWBKDKWKD i'm crying

The 'Afraid of attachment' is 100% right. Bakugo is scared of letting Deku in because of his self sacrificial nature. You imagine caring about someone knowing they could get themselves killed at any moment. The manga literally confirms that thought.

Well I think he just got used to it since all his friends called him that too when they were little, however, I heard that "chan" is used for girls and if you call a boy by his name with the "chan" at the end (like Izuku does when he calls Bakugo Katchan) he'll take it in a bad way (for kids it's ok but like for a grown boy), so I kinda find it weird he doesn't mind but maybe I'm just mistaken or something🤷🏻♀️

I'm so proud of him. It's like watching a feral cat slowly let its walls of defense come down. He's come a longggg way, especially in the battle against 1B like how awesome is he?! But still, I feel like some people choose to ignore and discredit his character development because his personality remained the same- hotheaded. Nevertheless, once the future manga chapters get animated, I hope people will give him a chance. Out of everyone in this anime, he's undeniably one of the most complex and dynamic characters here.

THE WIERD THING IS when first seeing bakagou and understanding that he is a mean bully with a wrong understanding and high ego...his character aspects (sreaming at everyone etc.) Were something that frustrated me and made me hate him even more. BUT as the show went on, and he started to change and realise his issues, become a much nicer and over all better person...then the things about him and how he acts THAT USED TO PISS ME OFF i started to appreciate. I always hear bakagou lovers say how instead of disliking him for keeping his "annoying" attitude its soemthing they found nice and appreciate....soemthing they grew to love about him instead of hate. Now dont get me wrong hes still pretty annoying lol, but i think people have grown to see it differently just because of his growth as a character and person. Heck even the classmates dont care anymore because they know bakagou is a good person so they dont mind it :) DOES THAT MAKE SENCE i feel like none of that made sence 😅

I don’t hate him as much as I used to especially considering why he is the way he is. A big fish in a small pond being told time and time again your the best, to then get hit with the long arm of reality. Waking up realizing you aren’t the greatest like you’ve been told your entire life. That the one moment you could’ve gotten help, was from someone that didn’t have a quirk. That ego that people had fostered his entire life shattering, and him being shown time and time again he’s not as good as he thinks. Then going from him now longer denying it, but accepting it is amazing writing. However He’s still not my favorite, but his character development is still one of the best.
Bakugou manages to be my favourite character despite hardly ticking any boxes in my usual requirements for me to find a character cool. I definitely think he’s still annoying, but I absolutely love to see his character development (especially in the manga, but the ground beta fight was also a huge moment), and each time he shows that he’s grown, I love him a bit more. It’s like, knowing how shit a character is in the beginning makes each bit of progress that much more significant, and considering how fucked up Bakugou is psychologically, it makes it all the more impressive. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Bakugou (and for everyone) in the story :)

I think it's adorable that our little pomeranian feels comfortable opening up to our adorable cinnamon roll. Like, he never lets himself show any emotions in front of other people but has no problem letting himself vent in front of Izuku. It's adorable and I love that for them. Like, Izuku obviously still cares about Bakugo, even after everything, and in a twisted sense, Bakugo cares about Izuku as well, like, he's okay with being himself around Deku and can let himself go. He hasn't even gotten to that point with Kirishima yet (as far as I've seen, I'm too poor to stay up to date in the Manga so I have to wait for the anime).

Just because Bakugou has had a lot of character development doesn't mean he has a "sEcReT sOfT siDE". Bakugou isn't a 'softie'. Thats a fact. But he still is incredible and I love him. He will always have that explosive attitude to him and he will always want to play leader and the best. But he has definately changed from who he used to be and I am so happy about that!

He really got pressed because his friend offered to help him. Izuku didn’t see him as weak, he looked up to him. I’m glad he got some character development. I love his fiery personality and his driven attitude...not so much his meanness and thinking everybody is tryna be better than him

To me, bakugo is the example of a kid with alot of pressure and admiration, and taking it too deeply to heart to the point of being aggressive. He has a quirk that his kindergarten teachers praised as strong, kids adored him. And when deku didn't get any, it was the pressure between strongest and weakest and took it the wrong way.
He wanted to be the best, and wanted to constantly prove it. To the point where he bullied his childhood best friend because hus other friends got a positive reinforcement to it(notice in the younger flashbacks, bakugo starts mistreating deku when he has other kids at his back) and it slowly morphed into a habit for him.
It's a case,in my understanding, of unlearning violence. Bakugo learned more about deku, and about his own faults. He blamed himself for hurting his hero, he felt awful having to be saved by deku instead of the other way around. And after he finally broke down and told deku everything, that he blames himself, he shifts. He is still gruff and almost rude to deku, but there is now nee context, new mind sets. Bakugo doesn't see deku as a weakling that needs to be belittled, he sees a tough rival who needs some pointers.

I used to be that kinda person so I know how he feels, he has an immense amount of pride and feels like he shouldn’t lean on anyone for companionship in order to not seem weak, the second he gets a true and unwavering friend and accepts them, he’ll turn into an awesome person. That’s what helped me
It was when Midoriya tried to save him during the sludge incident, that's when he actually changed.
Coincidentally, that was also the day Bakugo told him to swan dive off of a roof. So possibly, he maybe regretted saying that to him?
When Bakugo walked past Midoriya on the exam day, he only said "stupid Deku," didn't even tried to hurt him and/or mock him like you'd think he'd do. He was more quiet.
The character development started THAT day.
It surprises me how deku still continued to look up to him even after he said that, like imagine your idol telling you to kill yourself that’s not something that should be ignored.

because he realized deku actually cared. seems like most people cant put up with his personality and whatever. but when no one was helping him during that incident w the villian he realized deku was there for him. i have a feeling it made him realize that he would always be there for him. and throughout the series it became apparent. then, bakugou understood it even more to protect him. and deku also said in the beginning “ever since that day kacchan never bothered me again” or something along those lines. and in the second movie bakugou cared so much abt deku. he didnt even want to take one for all bc he was concerned that if he did, deku would lose the power. also what was rlly interesting was during one of the fights, im pretty sure against class 1B he said multiple times to his classmates “ill always protect you guys”. even if he said it in his angry manner he still meant it. i think deku is amazing for bakugou. and he sees that. bc he opened his eyes to a new aspect of being a hero and it’s helped him improve sm and deep down bakugou will forever acknowledge that and return the favor to everyone else and deku. he also saw the way he never gave up and admired that. so in some kind of sense, that day, bakugou never directly picked on deku ever again bc he realized he may have been rude to him all his life but deku would never want to see him struggle. and then came all the times bakugou returned that favor. i think thats whats really amazing
