    Thank you for this rundown on Forge. I don't actually use it but I'm getting some really good ideas and extensions for my A1111 set up and work flow. Tanks.

    What I like to do it make a shortcut and upload a custom icon, i personally use the SD logo. you can pin it to the taskbar if you go into properties and add "explorer.exe " (with a space at the end) at the beginning of the target field, hit apply and ok, then drag it to the taskbar, then go back into the properties and remove the edited portion of the target field. Another workaround that doesnt work for me is to rename the shortcut to yournameher.exe, adding the .exe sometimes fools windows into allowing it to be pinned to taskbar.

      I just send the shortcut to desktop and I changed the icon, didnt tried to do it too complex :) But you can do this method:
      1. Create a shortcut to your batch file.
      2. Get into shortcut property and change target to something like: cmd.exe /C "path-to-your-batch".
      For example I used: cmd.exe /C "D:\ForgeFlux
      un.bat" Then I can change the icon or get an icon from one of the installed apps that I don't use so often.
      3. Now drag your new shortcut to the taskbar. It should now be pinnable. Or you can right click and pin to taskbar or start.

    I started with SDXL about a week ago. Everyone said ComfyUI was the way to go. I learned about setting up a bus-style workflow, but anything past the basics starts looking messy and overall complicated. I heard ForgeUI was the better option, and an upgrade from Automatic1111. I used your tutorial last night to set up Forge, and have been watching as many tutorials as I can on it. This video has been tremendously helpful!
    Is this also fully portable, like ComfyUI? Like, I could backup the entire system by copying my Forge folder onto my NAS?
    I think I read somewhere that Forge now has single image training built in? Is there a video on that?
    Definitely subscribed, thanks for the great vids!

      Yeah I like simple stuff too, forge works good for me, I don't say comfy is not powerful just I don't enjoy the node base systems. I didn't try to move it but i think is portable. As for image training I don't use that option so not sure it has it or not if you look at extensions tab you can see all the extensions that have already been installed that come with it maybe you can figure out from the names.

      Hi! Did you find this feature about single image training? How does it called?

    Can you create a tutorial on the "Train" tab? Is that where I can train my own LoRAs?

    • @pixaroma
      @pixaroma  7 місяців тому +1

      I still struggle with training, so I am not able to do a tutorial at the moment, if it gets easier or give consistent results I will make one, but right not is not there yet for me.

    You can use shortcut CTRL+Enter to start generating, you know this, right? :) 15:18

      Yes I know, it must be an old habbit from making tutorials that i prefer to click on a button so it is visible instead of mentioning the shortcut that takes more time to edit 😃

    I have found that the different between the Juggernaut Xl lighting and the normal version is that the lighting one require less samples and generate images faster but I have a question can I regenerate images made with normal version in the lighting version or I have to download the normal version ?

    • @pixaroma
      @pixaroma  7 місяців тому

      Probably will get different versions, each one is different, maybe will get some similarities but probably will not get the same image, because even with same seed and same model if you change the steps and cfg scale the image change, so is hard to get the same image on different models

    • @makadi86
      @makadi86 7 місяців тому

      @@pixaroma thanks but why should we use the normal version if the turbo version is faster! is there any benefits from the normal version?

    • @pixaroma
      @pixaroma  7 місяців тому

      In my opinion i can get more realistic images on on normal version then on lightning, but probably depends on what you are after, i didn't do some in deep comparation yet on both model to see exactly which strength it has each, but try both and see what works for you

    • @makadi86
      @makadi86 7 місяців тому

      @@pixaroma I have made some tests and I found that I can get almost similar results by lowering the steps to 4 and cfg to 1:1.5

      only for automatic1111, forge ui does all what it needs automatically for memory management

    In this case actually the update.bat does not do the same thing as git pull. The environment.bat file sets the python environment to use the "system" folder instead of whatever other installation you have on windows. Attempting to update or run without using update.bat or run.bat is a bad idea because it may update python libraries in the wrong place.

    Why, using the same settings, renders are too different from a1111?

    • @pixaroma
      @pixaroma  6 місяців тому

      There isn't much difference from a1111 except it is faster and didn't crash like a1111 that why i switched to forge, it works better for me, more optimized lets say, but is based on a1111

    • @twilightfilms9436
      @twilightfilms9436 6 місяців тому

      Well, there is a lot of difference. You can’t get the same results using the same settings and seed. Just do this and you’ll see, drag and drop ant png you’ve done with a1111 into forge and send the metadata to img2img or text2img and you’ll see. Or do it from forge to a1111. The thing is that a1111 has best quality, period. I asked the developers from forge and they said that the reason for the better quality on a1111 is that in order to achieve velocity, forge skips several steps, particularly in the img2img process. But most importantly, forge was aimed to newbies while a1111 was for prosumers…..that’s the official word…..I tested both and forge is super fast, but poor on quality……

    • @pixaroma
      @pixaroma  6 місяців тому +1

      Is it possible, not sure what to say, I didnt see any big difference, but I use forge like many other because is faster, and if the video cards has less memory the speed is considerable, plus on low memory card it crashed all the time when doing something intensive, that didnt happen on forge. So it might be a compromise but I prefer to be able to generate fast without crashing. I have both installed so I could use both just was more comfortable with forge. People should have both and just use what fork for them, I also have comfyui installed but I still use forge, so is about preference, just use what works for you :)
