- This is the first episode of my Victoria 2 World Conquest series as Germany! The series will consist of edited versions of my original stream VODs, including a special intro which is way more high-energy than the actual gameplay! :D I plan on continuing to release new episodes fairly regularly from now on.
In this first episode I give a little introduction to the campaign and then proceed to form Greater Germany, plus do a bit of additional conquering on the side!

@@xarxos5274 also, can you do a guide on how to form Großdeutschland by 1840 or 1842 in vanila vic2.
I formed it somewhere around 1848.
@@Alexei1727 Well, I already have something similar to that. If you check out the most popular video on my channel, it's an explanation of how I formed Greater Germany in 1839. The strategies used there are more advanced than you need if you just wanna form it by 1840 though.

I really like that "the colour" is something you are considering. The stupid grey of Germany is seriously annoying me too and it is one of the reasons why I wont form Germany in EUIV (the other is that I like the vassal swarm of "go forth me pretties and siege provinces for me").
Yeah I agree, I think map color is really important when you're going to paint the map! :D But for this campaign I still opted to go for Germany to make things a bit easier for me.

Even if you use save load thing to avoid infamy, its almost impossible i think
I already know there's enough time, because I've already completed it! I'm just working on editing down all my original VODs into more concise videos :)

@@thememehead The length of the original unedited footage is around 75 hours I think. I estimate that I'll be cutting it down to about 1/3 that length in the edited series, but we'll see!

Curious how long do you think it would take you to form Greater Germany without any exploits what so ever.
Define "without any exploits". I'd say the way I did it here was relatively exploit-free, but what would you consider an exploit? :)
@@xarxos5274 Well in your video in forming Greater Germany you use the Jingoism pause exploit. In this video you did not do it, but IRC in the VOD you did end up using it to add to sphere
@@joroa7151 I don't believe I did it in this WC run, since I didn't have to add multiple war goals at once when I added Austria to my sphere. So if you otherwise consider this exploit-free, then early 1840 could certainly be doable, or perhaps even mid-1839 if you get lucky.
Think this is going to become a speedrun category one day, gotta see all the videos to make a better strategy than yours (Still good probably, you got entire world), but it's going to be cool seeing how you started it all.
Well technically this wouldn't be valid for a speedrun submission, since I messed up near the end and had to save scum once to complete it. But you're welcome to try to speedrun it if you want! I'm doubtful a lot of people will try to speedrun it though, because it takes such a long time to complete a run.

Also you do inherit the troops from the pops you conquer, but at times its bugged and they just don't move.

Oh okay I see, I just haven't noticed it before. Maybe there are some specific circumstances that decide if you inherit them or not.
You inherit troops that are recruited from Pops in whatever territory you took. If you took New York, whatever troops were recruited from there become your troops.
I took the Scottish Highlands one time and it took me several decades to find the one infantry unit in Australia.
Dragoon vs hussar? Ive hear hissars are better for offense? Is that right?
Dragoons have better raw combat stats, but Hussars have better recon and flanking range. So generally speaking Hussars are better, but there might be instances in the early game where you can benefit from Dragoons.
Are you also going to exploit that one core you get from that island near Denmark to constantly go to war with Britian?
Yes, I did use that a few times, until I accidentally enforced that war goal by mistake so I lost the CB :/

Not from a roleplayer. But yeah, I'm thinking I might release a video later explaining how a world conquest can be done :)

@@xarxos5274 I went for France at the start and practiced luring them in. The Vicky 2 AI seems to be a lot dumber than the EUIV AI. lol I've barely played Vicky 2, though, so I'm a newbie.

you can kind of do this as UK as well, lose a war to spike militancy until you get Scottish Nationalist rebels, lost to them and release Ireland, you will be on 16% revanchism.
Yes indeed, I believe the first person who did a WC in Vic2 did it as the UK using roughly that strategy for revanchism!
@@xarxos5274 do you know how much revanchisn you get from manifest destiny while Mexico has your cores? I think China and released India start with ~20%, Greece has a crazy 69%.
@@qazdr6 I don't remember exactly how much you get, but I think it's not too much on its own. But if you let the CSA break free later you should get a bunch more.
Would world conquesting as russia be easier? You have most of the worlds land, can keep alaska so you can invade the americas easier and you also have more men than most nations bullet supply
Yeah but your literacy is pure garbage.
I'm not sure, it all comes down to how efficiently you can get revanchism, which you might be able to do as Russia by losing territory to nationalist rebels. If you can get sufficent revanchism reasonably early, then Russia could be a good candidate since it's nice not having to conquer it.

I thought you couldnt WC because the game would crash if you started running out of tags?
Doesn’t seem to happen to me. I did a experiment once using console commands that make the ottoman empire annex everything from the start to make it the one and only nation and see how it goes after that and the game doesn’t crash at all, (can get a bit lagging but not constantly crashing).
The game started crashing more frequently the longer into the game I got, but it never became unplayable.
when doing the german decision is it possible to get Switzerland since they are german
Unfortunately no, in Vic2 Switzerland is part of its own culture group separate from the Germanic one. Also, even in real life Switzerland isn't entirely German-speaking; there's also French-, Italian- and Romansch-speaking parts.

World conquesting a game where annexing a single decent country would give you the potential to be number 1. Doesn’t seem like a great idea.

The immigration wouldn't matter much, you'll have no shortage of pops once the run gets going either way. But the United States could be a viable candidate since they can get Revanchism from Manifest Destiny and later from the CSA. Being able to get Revanchism easily is by far the most important factor for which nations are suitable for world conquest, everything else is secondary! :)
