There was a question asking which nursing dx applies best to a patient who’s in the icu for sepsis and has multiple machines going off day and night. The answer was disturbed sleep pattern but I thought the correct answer would be risk for acute confusion because of the machines and they’re septic and the machines are going on both day and night which could further confuse the patient. Why would it be disturbed sleep over confusion
So I don’t know the full questions or the choices of answers. But from the info you supplied, I would not choose acute confusion. The reason I would not is because machines going on and off would cause sleep deprivation etc but not confusion. Usually if they say confusion and patient in icu -they probably mean icu delirium which has nothing to do with machines or loud voices, it has to do with less oxygen to the brain, certain meds, illness etc. If the question just stated about icu and sepsis causing confusing I would lean to acute confusion from the sepsis but because it says multiple machines going off day and night I would think sleep disturbances. I hope that helps.
Princess Do you think that I should buy Uworld or Hurst in order to have a good preparation for the NCLEX test? There's another less expensive ebook to be ready t9 take the it test? I'll appreciate your reply.
Hi, I would highly recommend Uworld. I would do uworld for the question with my notes for the information. Uworld may be a little expensive, but is worth all the money it costs.
@@SarahRN my subscription runs out tomorrow and I'm still gonna have 300-400 questions left....I'm gonna have to use my school mandated Hurst for the rest of the time ..ughhh
NCLEX is all about money. They fail so many ppl specifically international nurses although we use all these strategies. Something racist about NCLEX. I studied hard. I answered right. They ask what is your race or nationality saying for statistics but the truth because they want to pass who they like. Something isn’t right about the NCLEX. I know I’m not stupid. I’m always an A girl in my school and got a scholarship to get my MSN degree of nursing but they fail me just cuz I’m not a US citizen. Something isn’t fair about NCLEX trust me everyone. They say they want to make sure we are going to be safe nurses but the truth they want to make sure they suck all your money. Im a safe nurse I worked in my home country for 5 years and never killed a patient how in the world NCLEX believes I’m not a safe nurse yet. I know airway is a priority. I know how to prioritize. I have an MSN of Nursing Administration but NCLEX still believe I shouldn’t pass!!! I swear I may end up suing the whole NCLEX if they don’t be fair enough to all nurses. Does NCLEX want to prove to the world that international nurses are stupid and only western medicine is right but what we learned is wrong. We learned the same thing. The first thing we learned in fundamental in my nursing school in my home country is the ABCs and Maslow’s. No thing is new to me about prioritizing patients. healthcare is the same everywhere in the world expect the herbal medicine is different here not that much different. But fundamentals and priorities are the same in every country trust me. Something isn’t fair about the NCLEX

I take the PN NCLEX tomorrow. Your content is amazing , the quality of your videos not so much , but the content in itself is A1. If you upgrade your editing skills and get some better equipment , I can't see why you wouldn't have a success UA-cam channel .

The Nclex exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed after studying with so many materials😞
Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success
