Cool Bike & good good for him. Black & Gray makes some good stuff. Unfortunately, that massively restricted mill is only putting out 100hp in USA trim & tuning.
Vinnie Guarniere III Right but I'm talking about a reflash. Not replacing it with the HRC ecu but just reflashing the ECU itself. Guhl motor's does that for a lot of racers in the US which just removes the top speed restriction and rev limiter on any bike. Standard bikes can gain 400 or more RPM on the top end and as far as the limiter for top speed goes those can be removed too. Most bikes can get to 200mph but are mostly limited to 188. This can be unlocked. Personally though I would've bought a euro spec bike and imported the race kit.
Understood and I appreciate the detailed feedback, thanks Bro. Since this is a minimal production hand-built HRC MotoGP bike (for the street), there's probably more than just an ECU reflash needed and probably legal & proprietary & tech issues. I'm sure there's plenty of ways around it...people have imported "gray market" bikes into the US for years and I used to race against them in the early 90's at Loudon.
Vinnie Guarniere III The only limiter Honda put on the bike was a rev limiter dropping it to an 8k redline. That's all they did to put the bike on the road. They really didn't homologate it for any market which is why the power has had to be restricted. One nice thing about Honda is the fact that they sell bikes to people without contractually obligating them to keep the bikes a particular way. So it's really upto the owner I'd assume to derestricted it. Only problem with grey market bikes is how long its going to take to get here. But it is always lovely to see something you know for a fact is extremely rare.
I like how he said you're one of the Chosen Few. LOL...... like any one of us guys watching this actually had a chance of being chosen. If you're old and Rich yes you can be a Chosen One too. all of this just so he can display it in his collection.
You can’t ride like Marc Marquez. You didn’t accomplish enough in life to be rich. Yet you’re feeling salty about not ever being able to own an RCV. 😂 An RCV is an RCV, it’s not a CBR250.
Nice bike. But Wow! Did not know it cost over 150K. I originally thought it would cost 50K or something around that. But if you have the money, why not?
Anybody who pays for a bike like this is a chump... "We brought out a lot of our staff to make it a special day for" blah blah, so he doesn't realize how dumb he was for paying that much.
Yes, the man with 188k to spend on a bike he wants is dumb. You must be really smart to call him that. Maybe take a second to understand what goes into a bike like this for it to cost as much before making comments.
On display?? Ride it!! Give one to me, and a honda jacket, ill do a video blog on youtube riding across America to publicize it and advertise for honda. Ride the darn thing, its no good just sittin somewhere, ride it!!
A choosen FEW ? What he is the only person that wanted to drop 185k on a underpowered sportbike, i mean look at this guy, he has 1-foot in the grave and wanted to unload his money before his kids started fighting over it!! Good for him!! Now lets see you-tube videos of him riding it?
@@everythingtrains8634 first off it is not a MotoGP replica bike not even close. Second the way you respond to people's comment lets me know you are not mature enough yet alone have a good job to afford one. And lastly my 18 year old on his R6 will spank you on any bike you bring out. If you even own a bike. Ride safely.
Someone @ Honda should be arrested for selling one of these to a guy who is going to drain the fluid so his living room won't smell like fuel. Booooooo!
It’s a sad thing to put that bike in a collection never to be ridden. Honda should have handled the way ford has with the new GT.. very disappointing video.. truly
As I figured, this thing will never be ridden.
Great bike, that is a really unique opportunity to have a bike like this, only few in the country Wow!
Congratulations
this bike is doomed to gather dust in the living room moneybags

ECU's are reflashed all the time to derestrict the limiter. Not a hard job.
True, but HRC is not releasing such RC213V upgrades to US owners because of emissions & EPA, etc... as far as I am aware.

gorgeous , too bad its just gonna sit in a museum
It's a private collection not a museum
Would have been nice to hear it run.
it doesn't run, its a replica, you just look at it!!!!
Doesn't New York have a Honda dealer? Why did he have to travel to Oklahoma of all places to see a Honda dealership?

I've seen that exact bike in person it doesn't just sit and collect dust
299kmh restriction again?

He would drop it anyway.
"Nobody has made a race replica at this level"...Ducati did it first
With what exactly? The desmo was re-engineered, had a different chassis and was homologated to meet emissions standards and put out a paltry 175hp.
..this video captures the moment well - some of the sour grape comments here are rather amusing too - haha >>

Any teenager with an R6 can spank this old guy on this RCV bike.
you are actually stupid.. its a street version of the MotoGP bike. The 8-time world champion Marc Marquez rides that thing.

Rich: keep quiet & buy a RC213V-S.
Broke & stupid: talk sh💩t in the comments section about R6 can spank blablablah.

Thanks California for ruining another bike with your emissions.
EPA. The race kit is not allowed in the US at all.
I would purchase tomorrow if i could get the race kit

10 years from now his family will put an old dusty motorcycle in a garage sale and somebody will buy it for $1500.00
