To mera point ye tha k India main Urdu ka scope bohat km hay or Punjab main to na honay k brabar. Still he knew a lot about Urdu.
On the other hand, Punjabi Pakistan k sb se populated province ki language hay or sirf Pakistan main he nhi balke jahan wo log rehtay hain wahan bhi Indian or Pakistani Punjabis in logo ko miltay rehtay hain. Still team Shahveer Punjabi k itne basic challenge pr struggle kr rahi thi.

That is kind of strange, because if he doesn't know Punjabi, then how can he read Gurmukhi and Gurbani?
I thinkhe is speaking in hindi not urdu. Hindi and urdu are very similar languages. And he is talking in hindi for their comfort. And also because in India, now we watch pakistani dramas alot, we have learnt few typical urdu words as well❤️. As a punjabi myself, I can tell he can speak fluent punjabi even by listening to the couple of sentences he spoke.
He knew more hindi words which almost all Punjabis in india do
Punjab is a Persian word = punj( five) + aab ( water in Arabic) Punjabi and urdu is originated by muslims not sikhs and hindu in 11th century Islamic poet bulle shah and shah Hussain was who spoke and write Punjabi shahmukhi script is older than sikh religion and gurumukhi script 😊
