Thanks Matches and thanks to your guests as well. I've got relatives from that area that I'll ask about this. Loved the story and always love your videos!
Great story! One day many years from now there will be stories about people seeing a ghost that looks like a distinguished gentleman smoking a pipe and pondering around out in the woods and other various places in Connecticut. They’ll say........ Oh that’s the ghost of Matches 860 a well known Philosopher, Storyteller and Pipe Extraordinaire! Happy Halloween John BOOYAH!!!!
John amazing tale . Love you brother your the Master story teller . You made my day good to see you with brothers of the briar. Great FRIENDS are important. I love your halloween tales their the best. Mr Walker spirit is still there .Spirits are real you have to see one to believe. I have and it was scary . I started praying . Glad your well John Happy Halloween to you and your family. Hope the Mrs. Is well my friend. God bless you always
Great story, as always! When I was a Boy Scout, our Scoutmaster told ghost stories at the Saturday night campfire. We were camped on some property next to a Sac & Fox burial ground and he told about ghosts rising out of graves - and then expected a bunch of 12-year-olds to go to sleep!
Great video The reason you didn't find Peleg's gravestone is because he isn't buried there. He is buried on the other side of Rte 6, on the edge of Hopkins Mill Pond.It is RI historical cemetery number 38. I just went and photographed his stone today. Googling it will give you the approximate location.
Oh no! I don't mean to be a bad influence! lol....... I hope some day I can be lucky enough to have a smoke with you all, somewhere. Still enjoying your videos,John. Happy Smokes!
Hey matches I have an unrelated question. I was researching pipes and came across Morta material, I’m interested in buying one. Have you ever smoked one or know anything about it? Thank you!
Morta is a fantastic material for smoking. I have a video about the one I received from Rick Black. To me, Morta's will out smoke a meer, cob, or clay any day of the week.
Well imagine you're out in the middle of nowhere and you run into a guy with a guidebook walking down the street who's not looking for anything in particular, just seeing the sights (of which there were none). It was rather odd.
Glad you guys enjoyed the Edgeworth. John must be rationing that stuff fairly carefully, I believe I sent it that way about a year ago. LOL. Great ghost story, New England seems to lend itself to these kinds of rich and unusual historical tales. Keep puffin.
Great story John, keep up the awesome videos I love watching them.
Love the pipe advice but, the stories are an awesome touch!
Thanks Matches and thanks to your guests as well. I've got relatives from that area that I'll ask about this. Loved the story and always love your videos!

Hangin out with the godfather of pipe smoking. Rest in peace, John.
Ramtail Mill...
Great story, Matches. And who was "some guy from Maryland"? (in the credits)😸
Well imagine you're out in the middle of nowhere and you run into a guy with a guidebook walking down the street who's not looking for anything in particular, just seeing the sights (of which there were none). It was rather odd.
@@Matches860 Well, he was from Maryland, so what did you expect??😉 (OK, other Marylanders, don't get upset... I'm jest choking!).
LOL, not to worry, every state has them.
Good story, I look forward to more May your pipe be full, your matches dry, and your cigars be sweet.
Great story! Smoking pipe tobacco the same age as me is pretty cool!
Hello Matches
Greetings Darryl!
Glad you guys enjoyed the Edgeworth. John must be rationing that stuff fairly carefully, I believe I sent it that way about a year ago. LOL. Great ghost story, New England seems to lend itself to these kinds of rich and unusual historical tales. Keep puffin.
Many thanks, Doug! I was able to gift a few remaining slices to Brad who loved it.
