Sorry for the lack of reply’s to the comments. The garlic did sprout but that’s really about it. But to be honest, I had to scrap the hydroponics at the time because of a deployment.
Eric, how did your garlic experiment go in the Kratky tank? I know garlic does exceedingly well when growing the heads/cloves just for the garlic greens, but havent seen the cloves grown in Kratky in an attempt to get them to grow full heads.
Does the grow media inhibit the garlic from making additional lobes or will it just push the balls aside? Do you have to switch and remove the balls when it reaches that stage, or use something softer?
Thanks for the comment. As the garlic grew, the media shifted and I didn’t have any issues. I didn’t have the chance to allow the garlic to grow all the way, so I don’t have any examples. Are you growing garlic?
@@devildoc8604 I'm about to start. Still have found no videos on UA-cam past the stage of rooting and foliage. I hope it can create lobes without soil. I had soil a few years ago for some tomato plants and got a bad case of fungus gnats that took months to get rid of and they attacked my hydroponic plants' roots as well because the soil plants were in the house in the same room.
I've watched quite a few hydroponic garlic growing videos but I have yet to see one where they actually harvest garlic. The bulb rots after a couple of months. If anyone has had success I'd love to hear from them.
Mostly just water Just water and sunlight is basically enough to get sprouting but later you ll need ammonia nd nitrates nd nutrients to get growing... So to just start off its just water basically
Set up is simple and approved ❤❤❤
came to look for exactly this, garlic on pebbles!! thank you
What is the final result?, if any image 🙏😊

Obviously, it only sprouted. No real garlic bulb.
How come no follow-up video? Did this experiment fail?

I think there is some sort of conspiracy with hydro garlic 😜 it probably cannot be done and nobody wants to post the bad results.

How are the garlics doing?

What kind of nutrients do you use?
folow de instructions on NPK fertilizer (3-4-5) or (10-10-10)
what's also in the water in order to sprout the garlic?
Mostly just water
