He could have gotten rid of the framing on the outmost walls so it’s all one material, would have looked a lot nicer that way.

Good god, that kitchen tile cobblestone on the outside walls is definitely a choice. I was really hoping you would redo it but we’re 5 minutes in and I don’t have much hope left.

I honestly liked the cobblestone with the brick upper floor. The whole house as cobblestone didn't look great.

Everyone criticizing Drae's wall choices, but nobody is questioning that he added a child's playset and sandbox in the backyard of a single bedroom house? The same house that neglects a railing next to the stairwell and puts the shoe rack AT THE TOP of the stairs? Kids gonna drag mud all the way up those stairs, then slip and fall down them when taking them off. Then sleep on the couch or in the tub lol

Okay hear me out. if you are going to do an accent wall (the yellow one) typically you should opt for a darker color to compliment the white. When you have those two bright colors together it just makes a giant eyesore. One more thing is to have a bit less lights so it's not as blinding in the house, and the bathroom is a bit weird being a completely different enviornment than the rest of the house.
We need a house tour now, so we can judge whether you or your wife decorated the house 😂
Women want to turn the whole house gray or beige as well. It's horrible.

The color palette in the master bedroom is the thing i loved the most. the living room is somewhat acceptable. the cobblestone is the thing though, it doesn't look good if it was put on the whole house.
Edit: it also look like a badly rendered png of cobble stone plastered on the house when viewed from afar.

The outside walls have grown on me by just how good the rest of the house is, but as long as he had fun an enjoys its great

Watching Drae play games like this is always such a trip. Man is usually SO damn good at doing furniture and decorations, but good god is your sense of colors.... *something*. Dont get me wrong, I love your videos Drae. But please. The colors. My eyes are burning kind sir.
On a for real note though, I fully standby the mind set of its your time playing it, you play it how you want. We gonna watch regardless. I hope you had a lovely Christmas, and a very happy New Years my kind sir. Cant wait for the next video.

At 13:20 those pillars on the windows can be painted or change their color. With either paint or the tile you want point at it and you’ll get the option to color it. It takes a second and it loads and then you’ll see it get applied.
Everyone hating on Drae’s design but personally he did what he could and props to you man! Also yall keep in mind he’s partially color blind so what looks good to him might now look good to everyone else 😭

its always interesting to see everyones visions when flipping houses in this game. My build i removed the garage door and put up a wall. Double door entrance and made a bedroom and laundry room in the lower floor and in the upper front window tore out the wall and made a huge window with the living room and a computer desk bathroom and kitchen upstairs.
Roof- On the outside of the top of the house. Ceiling- On the inside of the house above your head.
Specifically this situation grinds into my anxiety.

Its rly just the bottomside of a floor... As theres an attic above it, so is it rly a ceilin or is it a floor?
There is obviously attic, because when you look from outside you can see small window above those 4 big windows in front, hopefully Drae spots that eventually.

In case anyone is wondering, Venitian Plaster is essentially drywall that has been sanded and polished to a baby smooth surface. Because it is super labor intensive and therefore expensive, it is likely only to be found in wealthy homes. There is no texture on venitian plaster.
hey drea great video some weird but understandble design choices, i think it would be cool if you renovated the first house before mooving so you can decide on which you like better
Cool design and we did the layout identical in the bedroom and laundry area. For the laundry area I removed the doors and wall between the two rooms and made it into a combo powder room/laundry area. I used the exact same placement for the washer/dryer and shelves. I also used the cobblestone but only for the front facade
Sell the house and flip some more houses as it's a better way of making more money and when you have enough to spare then choose a house and make it as your office

The starter house is your parents house so you can NOT sell it. If you keep the upgraded house you will have to earn the money to flip another one. So it's up to you on what you wanna do.
Hey Drae! Awesome content as always. you can click the "i" in the box on the right side of the buy menu (below the different tabs). then items show their dimensions with width x height x depth. easy way to check if a bed is bigger than the rest :)

I do think he should make this house his office, bc I mean for 1 he has the pic above the monitor showing his logo and all, plus with him not wanting to let it go & it being his first flip, if you put all in all together it being his new office (compared to his current flipper office) it would be a good idea

I'd love to see small house sold and make the bigger house the office. Could do it as a gradual project: do a section/room at the end of each episode, after earning money as the main part of the episode; something like that.
When Drae designs stuff I usually go in expecting to get angry at his design choices. The cobblestone wall was certainly one of *those* choices, but other than that, honestly looks pretty good. I feel like since he went the extra mile to place his logo over the desk it just makes sense for this to be his new office. P.S.: I'm pretty sure the shower is set up wrong and not assecible unless you're as thin as a toothpick

I'm having the same issue right now as you!! I'm so torn on selling my place. I miss the clients system, in this one I have no idea the potential, the requirements, no nothing on selling the houses. The big job pay out like 25k for, i dunno, like half an hour of work? I could be way off but I hate the idea of selling a like 5 hour house and making so little back. I do think that its more fun than doing quests, so I'm trying to think of it as like a more fun shortcut to the 200k you would've ended up with at the end? I dunno. I wanna say sell the house, you've got video of the house and I wanna know the post-selling experience. I wonder if they have a house archive finally or if theres more to it when you commit to the number.

Make this house be your office and rennovate the one you start in. As that one can be sold for a profit. But rennovate and seel after you have like 200K from doing jobs. Of course, if you furnish the place or not is up to you. After all, people who move into a new house usually bring their own stuff.

personally right off the back i have decided to make it my home office during my play through. maybe level up the skills more so you get more offers if you are going to sell it.
Just to let you know, you cannot sell your starter house, it's your parents house lol you can remodel it but cannot resell it, if I were you, I'd sell that flipped house and remodel the parents house that way you can earn a lot more cash! Also, there's only 1 bidder to begin with, the more houses you sell, the better prices you can get 😉

You only get more offers once you unlock them through the skill tree. and ofc you can sell it. you can just rebuy it again and resell it again over and over,.
Maybe you should redo the place your office is in now and then when it's all done, compare the amount you'd get from selling each one. Sell the more expensive and keep the cheaper.

I think you should've kept the exterior wood on the top floor how it was, instead of changing it to stone, the bottom floor looks good but with both floors I think it it just overwhelming.
