No worries Najd, I'm glad you found it useful. If you have no instrument to play on, try jamstudio.com and you can put chords together there. also, google virtual piano and use it to play a melody. good luck
@@abhishekkumarab1069 I hear that, it's tough to keep it consistent. Little embellishments are cool tho as long the main motif is still clear. It can keep it from getting too repetitive. Cheers Abhishek
Tying bars is hard to do. Creative euphemism is difficult too. Right now I’m okay at making beats but writing lyrics for my own songs is hard. I know nothing of how to create the process.

Can anyone tell me that if I have a background music then how am I supposed to know the melody in which I am suppose to sing the lyrics to make it sound like a "Song" ?
The easiest way to start is to use the scale in whatever key you are in. Eg if your song is in the key of C, start improvising a melody using the notes from the CMajor scale. Then follow your ears until you have a melody you like. Let .e know if you have anymore questions 👍
Hi Nikhil, I'll have some more videos about making melodies coming out soon. If not, drop me a few specific questions in the comments around the subject and I can make a vid that answers them. Are you Irish or Dutch? Such an interesting accent! Now I can hear that you are Irish right? Dubliny? Still could be a Dutch person whose learnt from American tv! Crazy! Hope you’re well fella
It can be tricky Kaley. Matching the rhythm of you lyrics to the rhythm of the melody is a good starting place. Speak out your lyrics to the melodies rhythm and make sure the words sound as natural to sing as they do to speak. I'll be doing some videos on this soon.
@@SongWritersChopShop hmm. This is very helpful to me as I have a very good set of lyrics halfway done and couldn't help but to have the way I sung them go with the beat of the melody...but it sounds like it belongs that way to me.?🤷♀️ but I also have very well known idols who definitely do not do it this way at all..
@@kaleyj803 That's the main thing. If it sounds good to you and feels good to sing, you should be good to go. I'm not sure I understand the last bit 'idols who don't do it that way', can you explain more?
Hi Sanjay. A lot will depend on the individual song. Every song is different so do have to trust your ears and heart to decide if it sounds and feels right. These are basic guidelines from which you can start that process. The elements I talk about apply to any section of a song, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, etc... But play around and experiment with these ideas until you hit on something that feels and sounds right to you. if you have any other questions just let me know. cheers

Let me know your biggest challange when it comes to matching lyrics and melody?
Keeping the melodic motif consistent as change in lyrics causes change in syllables which results in change in motif.
