Watching this on a Note 20 Ultra now. This phone is a 100% certified steal. Everything about it is modern. It does not look or behave like a 3-year old flagship. In no way has this phone been left behind as far as performance, design or build quality goes. And the display is beautiful. The only knock is the software updates, but for less than $400 this phone is crushing ANY mid-range or budget phone and it's not even close!
I bought a 512gb Note 20 Ultra with a 1TB microSD card for $800 Canadian in March 2023. It's the SnapDragon version. I think this is one of the most legendary phones of ALL-TIME. 7inch Screen (curves with a pinhole camera, so basically ALL SCREEN), 12gb RAM, REVERSE Wireless-Charging, STYLUS, 15% lighter than today's smartphones, Fingerprint Sensor + Face ID, SPLIT-SCREEN MULTI-TASKING, Sim Card, DeX & Bixby. #1 phone when it came out in 2020 and nearly 3yrs later, I still have it in the top3. Did I mention my phone has over 1.5TB of storage?? 🤣🤣
I bought my Note 20 Ulra as a late Christmas/ Birthday present to myself in 2021 for 1,200 & no matter what phones came out i never regretted it because this 1 does it all. Honestly, if it quit working TODAY, i'd buy another brand new one.🤞🏾
After 6yrs, my old phone broke (won't say what it was 😅) and I needed something ASAP. A friend gave me a practically unused yet malfunctioning s21 ultra for free, which I fixed for $300 CAD and sold for $600. I then bought a Note 20 Ultra with a 1Tb microSD card for $800. I'm laughing!
Great points ! I always wonder would Samsung phones be better if, for example, they kept polishing software and fine tuning it on Note20 Ultra instead of releasing more and more devices (that are pretty much as hardware capable as "old" ones). Hardware and software on Samsung phones play "catch me if you can" game and I think hardware wins big time. For us, users, balance of those two would be much better (I don't buy all that marketing stuff about latest and greatest processors and how we all just need them) !
I don't really understand why they have to release a new phone every year with almost the same features as last year's and they almost always get released with software glitches that they have to work with again and again instead of perfecting the software on the old phones. I really don't understand this marketing. Not saying that the new phones are nit badass and improved, but I don't get it why they stop providing software updates for perfectly viable phones they released years ago and that still hold up and make their owners happy.
@@mihaeladesaga2518 to be honest, latest S24U (except maybe when it comes to battery) isn't much better then Note20U. If it wasn't for Samsung and their software updates that cripple older phones (even last years ones) they would work as good as latest one.
Watching on my note 20 ultra. Before this phone I always wanted the latest one and would get it. Not with the ultra 20.. I have no desire for a newer one. Love love love it years later!😊
Hey, please help me decide on which one to get between the Note 10 plus and Note 20 ultra as at today in 2023. You can put EVERYTHING in consideration and help decide on which one to buy. Im so lost between the two and I'm about to purchase a new phone
Software wise get the note 20 ultra get it unlocked 512gb of storage if not 256gb is fine 5g if so it's a good phone at the end of the day and will carry on the rest of year I have the s20 ultra but I should've just brought another note but plz get this over the note 10 plus I'm not saying it's a bad phone but it's very fast And still worth it
still got note 10 plus,note20u and s23u and if note20u had the bigger battery, quad hd120hz and bigger internal memory. i would say s22u and s23u is literally the same as note20u. note20u still has better and louder speaker than s23u. thought they fixed it on s23u. good thing still got note20u it just doesnt last as long as s23u.
I feel like the Note 20 U has the same features as the newer phones, but the newer phones have some hardware improvements and get more software updates, besides the Note 20 is the better looking of them all.
Hi bud I just picked up a note 20 ultra today and noticed that bit above the front camera. I thought it was a bit of the screen damaged but I see yours is the same with the case on. Is it to help with the camera? Or is that the top speaker ?
Yes that's exactly what I was referring to. And then when I put a case on the phone there was a cutout at the top,so then I realised that must be the speaker grill and not a damaged screen lol. Thx for clearing that up 👍
Another amazing video. The S20 Note Ultra is an amazing phone I like it better than the new stuff. The only place I can find them is on Ebay. Ebay some how still have them new in box. Do you think the Ebay phone are authentic Samsungs? I try comparing it to your video and there some fine differences. They all seem to be connected to China.
I own this phone and I love it. It's still actual in 2024 and i can say it rivals withy the newer phones. The only let down it's because my model is using Exynos chipset, it's a bit laggy and I need to charge it about 4 times a day and it's consuming alot of battery even if it's not used and the screen it's turned off.
@vernonleewarren280 I never knew the difference until I had a Snapdragon phone, I thought being a bit lagging and draining battery in a few hours it's normal for all phones.
The latest one you are 5.1 update actually made the battery life better on my Note 20 ultra because for a while it was not great at all. I kind of stopped using it for a little bit because I was getting better battery life from my other phones pixel 6 v60 Moto edge 30 fusion
Hey Vern hopefully not a dumb question that you had mentioned that the only way you will replace the note 20 ultra is because of the battery so would that mean that you would replace it with say the s22 ultra and understanding yes no expandable storage unit already mentioned that you're probably not upgrade because of that so would you just purchase another note 20 ultra?
@@vernonleewarren280 yeah that's the color I got I don't know about you but I had to put a Sophie quartz skin online because to me the texture on the back was too slippery for my hands and I was afraid that I might drop it before I got a case. So off kept Sophie guard skins on mine along with the case. I had to get a front and back phone protector magnetic 🧲 because the screen protectors with the curved screen they don't stay on accurately and it's always some kind of issue with the touch sensitivity on the device
