This was one of the first records I liked, ( I'd stepped into youth ) We are the champions-Queen and Shes so modern - Boomtown rats. Was a rats fan saw them many times.
darts were brilliant, i grew up listening in the 70,s secretly while i liked punk but so many good vocalists in the group and they always looked like they were having a great time. thanks for the memories.
@@gregggreasley407 wait for it……….was out till 1am the other week after a sold out Showaddywaddy show. Got my wife to put the horlicks, warming of the pj’s and hot water bottle on hold 😂
I had just left school and was going to teen discos. They were played during the half hour rockn roll session and I was the only Teddy boy all kitted out and dancing to this and the old Elvis tracks like jailhouse rock. The town gave me the nickname Elvis and to this day if I run into anyone from that era they call me Elvis.
A time when great music & vocals were appreciated. It wasn’t about looks, it was about talent, stage presence & being entertaining. Most ‘artists’ today are like wooden spoons.
Still got a lot of their 45rpm and their album, Do Wop ,was still going around ,especially as Punk, New Wave, a lot of great bands around "pub rock" Dave Edmunds "Girl's Talk" Disco, Gerry Rafferty "Baker Street" when your Da was "quiet" when "Pan's People"later on"Leg's &Co" were on TOTP I remember them dancing to The Bee Gees "Tragedy" on the show😅😅😅😅😅,underage drinking, underage thinking, too much hate ,wars. ,politics getting shoved down your throat, times were hard , by god didn't we party😊😊😊😊😊😊

I was 8 when this came out. I recall me and my mum taking to it, as that played it Saturday morning.. needless to say, over the following days we visited the local record shop and purchased the single. Happy days..

Den Hegarty looks uncannily like Christopher Lloyd from back to the future! Great Scott!
Christopher must have modelled his look on Dan!

Hmm. It’s like to find missing link between ape and human. I mean between classic rock and glam rock.
Didn’t know Sheldon Cooper could sing
The lead singer must have had some nerve - not many lead singers were bald.
