Part of the issue is cultural. In Japan, thanks to the Confucianist cultural principles that all of East Asia is soaked in, you're supposed to trust your boss and be loyal to the company, because social harmony is the be-all-end-all. The idea we have in the West, that the individual's rights matter more than the group's harmony, is a foreign concept there (that's because it's an idea that ultimately comes from Christianity, where everyone is a unique creation of God endowed with infinite inherent meaning and value). Basically, in Japan, you're meant to put the company ahead of yourself even if they're obviously screwing you. Now, while Confucianism says that the boss SHOULD genuinely care for the people under him, it's not like there's any way to force this to happen, and plenty of bad companies exploit this culture to get away with abusing their employees (you see similar things in China, where many companies regularly demand 12-hour shifts six days a week, EVEN THOUGH this is explicitly against Chinese law!). They're used to the idea that employees are docile and will meekly accept any abuse they're given, so when Selen/Doki actually fought back they were caught flat-footed and had no idea how to respond to this alien situation.

The funny thing about the completely laughable C&D sent to Raziel: She already stopped talking about Nijisanji and Luca Kaneshiro right after posting her 50+ page document and talking with False about it. So basically, she already stopped talking about them for 2 full months. Oh btw, Anycolor mentioned in their C&D that Raziel is under an NDA that she signed with them. Problem? That NDA Raziel signed with Anycolor has already expired on December of 2023, which was about 6-7 months ago.
The thing with Hex getting struck is that Vox went through the same thing, and he also had to delete his spicy ASMR videos. You'd think that the new blood would learn from the veterans what to do and what not to do and what the consequences would be.
Is the company even sellable? Its roster is too big. If the company spent like Cover on its infrastructure and talents, they would be bankrupt in months or even weeks. Its tech is clearly inferior to its competition. The only reason it's profitable is because they invest practically nothing back into the company.
Just a bit of a correction with Kanae and Kuzuha's energy drink and alcohol mixing controversary, Mujin. The ones who made the suggestion to mix caffeinated beverages (like ASAP's own energy drink) with alcoholic beverages like Soju was neither Kanae, Kuzuha or ASAP Club, but a stupid staff member of Anycolor. ASAP club already confirmed this in their multiple statements regarding this controversary.
It's interesting watching vtuber fans try defend the vtubers, personally I have only ever interacted with this fandom because of the selen tatsuki controversy, but it was fun to watch people react to their favourite vtubers getting caught up in drama. Although I do agree that it was probably just mismanagement, but it definitely sounds like a scapegoat excuse when I hear "it was a random staff"
The cease and desist is actually even worse than what was presented in this video. If you read the cease and desist letter you'll notice it's moreso over what was said or implied about management and NOT what was said about Luca.
Watching Nijisanji is like watching a person in slow motion make multiple stumbles as they walk down the stairs. I'm just waiting for when it will fall.
I know the video just uploaded a moments ago, But there's nothing that Nijisanji can do anymore, they've crossed the line with treating their livers like total buns Especially to those who are fully invested within the basketball collaboration, especially on what happened with Selen, this was their final straw and they just got to stop, If I have a better solution, they should just either dismantle this organization and create a new industry from scratch and fix their management ASAP, but even so it takes a lot of money to even do that kind of thing, there's no hope for them anymore
Imma be honest, had they not gone all in with the Selen situation, I would've been willing to forget about it, let it pass, chalk it up to bad management or whatever. Shit happens, you know? It was super shocking to see something lose it's sense of self-preservation so fast.
@@SnazEM783 It's pretty much of an embarrassment, even though the whole situation would Selen had an happy ending with Dokibird, But it doesn't change the fact that they still treat their remaining livers like crap by taking their play button as if they actually earn it while it was them they earn it, they've done the work by using their models, they deserve it not Niji, their management is just total balls and this is just one of their ways that they think they're doing on what's right while if you're comparing to those like Hololive, They would treat their livers way better
they wont dismantle the organization especially as they have dozens of japanese vtubers in the japanese branch that are extremely successful and popular like kuzuha and kanae who have been carrying the company on their backs for a long time and most of this situation isn't affecting the japanese branch at all. Soju isnt like vodka, mixing it 1:1 with an energy drink is about as strong as a mikes hard lemonade, which is not dangerous at all. Like, it's literally less strong than the average vodka redbull you can buy at any bar because of the alcohol percentage disparity.
The problem is that soju they're showing, Chamiseul, is flavored. Sure there are flavored vodka too, but the point is flavored soju (really any distilled alcoholic drink) entices teenagers to drink more.

Jesus, usually when people show graphs they try to portray it in a way that it follow the narrative, so they take a timeframe that makes it look worse than it is. But the 5 year history of -1046 is *less* than what they lost since February, where it was at 3750 and is now -1540 down
In fairness, part of the blame lies on the finance sites, which usually don't draw their graphs with 0 on the Y-axis. Instead making the lower bound of the axis just a little less than the minimum of the range. (and also the absurdly short time range as the default) For actual finance people, there are good reasons for this (so you can see changes in detail). They understand such axis grossly distort proportions. It is optimized for showing change, not magnitude. The problem is, these charts have escaped the confines of people who know how to read a graph and into the general public consciousness. So misreading graphs to push an exaggerated view ahoy!

About company dragging things out in court and ruining you financially. Your Liability insurance will pay for something like this. It would be under personal injury coverage. So as long as you have your Home Owners or Tenant policy you should be OK. If you are worried, get an umbrella on top of it and you are looking at a couple mil limit. It will take A VERY long time for you to run out of limits. On top of that insurance carrier have a duty to defend you and will file all kind of injunctions to speed it up if not throw the case out completely. All you have to do is just show up for court dates. I also want to point out that judges are not idiots and typically will not let you stall a case unless there is a really good reason and some foreign JP company would not win any sympathy or consideration. Legal Mindset will know better about this last part. My experience is just from claims notes. Insurance carriers are highly motivated not to let things drag out. Source: I'm a commercial insurance underwriter. I used to be a personal lines agent (home, auto, tenant, rental etc.)
Im a long time fan of chronoir, they never had any scandal even from the day they debuted. They never recommend the alcohol mix by their own accord. It was recommended by the alcohol company itself. Jp fans was NEVER aware of that and was never a big deal for them not until international fans started to make it a big deal. For the reason that their MINOR fans started to drink the alcohol mix themselves.
Kuzuha and Kanae are fun and good guys as far as I watch their streaming. But I should bet on Cover as an investor. Cover has already prepared all the conditions to go to Prime Index.
Ngl I was obsessed with watching Nijisanji and other Vtubers before the whole Selen situation. I just couldnt bring myself to watch them after everything that happened. I guess I gotta thank Nijisanji for helping me get rid of my vtuber addiction-
I'm just a casual chronoir enjoyer, especially since my JP understanding is only intermediate, but I enjoy catching the occasional Kanae or Kuzuha stream. That being said, WILD. What are those boys doing? lol
Just a bit more context, the mixing one was actually a staff recommendation. Both Kanae and Kuzuha are just the presenter and the staff gave ideas on how to drink the beverage by mixing stuff.
In the defence of Japanese, they don't drink as much caffeine as what some of us do, especially when compared to North America. But they do have alcohol problems, just not as bad as the Russians. So when they suggest adding energy drinks into alcohol, naturally it's not going to end well.
tbh I might be the only one to think this, but I kinda feel bad for Kanae and Kuzuha. I'm sure that the presentation and everything was put together by staff, and they were mainly told to go along with some sort of script, which I'm sure is the case with majority of sponsorships. I really think it was the fault of Niji staff for not checking, and that's probably why they won't speak on it. They know they screwed up but don't want to admit it, so they let their livers take the heat.
a known fact that some people talking about this situation fail to mention for whatever reason: the mixing was EXPLICITLY the staff's idea, they said it out loud and it was written clearly on the slide. so if that's what you're worried about - no need, all the livers did was read out someone else's suggestion and everyone could see that, so no one is directing hate towards them specifically. well, aside from people with selective hearing or those who are genuinely un/misinformed (like mujin, i guess), but that's just a minority.
I believe with the kuzuha and kanae one, (and correct me if I'm wrong) I have heard that staff recommended it. yes ik this could just be me defending them wrongly bc kuzuha was my first and fav oshi. still tho, lots of love great video
Wait a bit of tiny correction. Soju is korean alcoholic drink, the Japanese one is Sake. Just saying since if Kpop fans here you moght be criticized heavily
Hex Haywire is hilarious. Not because he’s actually funny no he’s as funny as wet cardboard, he’s hilarious because of his clearly fake “deep sexy voice” and that he’s desperately trying to do the exact same thing Vox did and no one cares about him
Oh, common. Complaning about about mixing sake and Redbull 1:1 is at the very best misleading. A standard (served in a bar) Redbull vodka is 1 part vodka and 3-4 parts Redbull. That's the equivalent of 1 part sake and 1 part Redbull. Obviously you made them a lot stronger back when you were out partying as a teenager.
One of the drinks we drink most often here (and one of my favs) is energy drinks + vodka, so not even 3 mins in and I can see that this will be so much fun lol edit: most people go with 1:2 or 1:3 ratio, me and my friends usually go with 1:1. That being said, we are experienced lol do not try that ratio as your first taste lmao
7:31 They even changed his signature in the new merch drop that came after the document came out, which makes it look like she was telling the truth about being the one who actually made the signature. 9:57 I feel like it should be illegal for parties to drag out court cases to try to drain their opponent's bank account. That's not justice, it's unfair, it lets the rich just get away with things. They should make it against the law. Side note, they should also have a cap on the amount of times a court case can be postponed, so no one ever does what the Radium Dial Company tried to do to the Radium Girls. If you don't know, they continually postponed the court case, waiting for the Radium Girls to die so the lawsuit would fall through. And yes, they had grounds for a lawsuit. The Radium Dial Company and the US Radium Corp knew that radium is dangerous and still instructed these women to put radium-soaked paintbrushes in their mouths. They also tried to cover up the evidence that the women's illness was due to radium and, if I remember correctly, apparently tried to steal a victim's body from a morgue so it couldn't be autopsied. Companies just be doing the wildest things when they've mistreated their employees.
This type of cease and desist makes sense, it falls into the idea of slander and libel that is prevalent in Japan, that even if what you say is the truth, if it damages the image of a person or a company then it is something that could have legal repercussions

Nijisanji is one of those companies that have that THICK of a wallet to still be functioning rn. Well it’s more dysfunctional with its PR and management team being high all the time but you get the point.
Second BIGGEST stakeholder of AnyKuro stocks outside Riku (he owns 41% or more of the shares) is SOYNY.
They also have stakeholders of size, like JP's BIGGEST Baseball corpo and so forth, and Mainland Taiwan Moolah in it as well. They mamaged to mock themselves into becoming Japan's Current Year Dosney Equivalent somehow.
@@andrehashimoto8056 If i was any SANE investor in Anykuro I would go and sell ALL THE STOCK I HAVE by the time the Selen drama was revealed

Ah yes, brilliant! Very bold of you to make a "KMS" *_after_* Finana got flamed for doing the exact same thing... in an agency where two former members nearly "game ended" themselves, as well -- one of them doing it TWICE, no less!
And then that Twisty girl 🔥🙂🔥
don't forget that the Nijisisters also caused one former Hololive talent to try to "game end" herself
They sure care for their livers...

Wait who's the one besides doki???
The funny thing about the completely laughable C&D sent to Raziel: She already stopped talking about Nijisanji and Luca Kaneshiro right after posting her 50+ page document and talking with False about it. So basically, she already stopped talking about them for 2 full months.
Oh btw, Anycolor mentioned in their C&D that Raziel is under an NDA that she signed with them. Problem? That NDA Raziel signed with Anycolor has already expired on December of 2023, which was about 6-7 months ago.
let me guess, they don't renew the NDA 😂
The thing with Hex getting struck is that Vox went through the same thing, and he also had to delete his spicy ASMR videos. You'd think that the new blood would learn from the veterans what to do and what not to do and what the consequences would be.
Nijisanji fucked up before and they fucked up worse this time!
I wonder what they do new
Niji used to get in drama but then the drama wasn’t as bad but now we’re really seeing the management
This is gonna keep getting worse to the point he’ll have to sell that stupid fucking yacht
With their ruined reputation, I don't think anyone would buy it thou 🤣
😂
nah he’s better sell NIJISANJI away now or he won’t be rich in the future anymore
@recon_laksh742 Would he be able to sell Niji and get profits still? Or is that up to the buyer and CEO?
Is the company even sellable? Its roster is too big. If the company spent like Cover on its infrastructure and talents, they would be bankrupt in months or even weeks. Its tech is clearly inferior to its competition. The only reason it's profitable is because they invest practically nothing back into the company.
Nijisanji is an entire incident at this point 💀
Yeah..fucked up that they still have fans
LITERALLY I ALWAYS WONDER WHY THEY HAVE FANS.I understand having like an oshi or two which is fine but fans of the company itself is crazyyyy
how is the company still up is my question
Just a bit of a correction with Kanae and Kuzuha's energy drink and alcohol mixing controversary, Mujin. The ones who made the suggestion to mix caffeinated beverages (like ASAP's own energy drink) with alcoholic beverages like Soju was neither Kanae, Kuzuha or ASAP Club, but a stupid staff member of Anycolor. ASAP club already confirmed this in their multiple statements regarding this controversary.
What I’m getting is that most of the issues are from the company rather than the VTubers themselves. Is that correct?
At the same time, I would also expect Chronoir to say something like that, but I would also think they were joking and not serious 😂
From the livers or the staffs doesnt matter. It is a stupid thing to recommend either way. 🙄
2:15 Would like to point out that Soju is Korean alcohol, not Japanese. Just to clear out any confusion.
Since it was endorsed by a vtuber to mix with an energy drink, should we call it VSoju?

How about Peter Griffin falling stairs stumble?
I know the video just uploaded a moments ago, But there's nothing that Nijisanji can do anymore, they've crossed the line with treating their livers like total buns Especially to those who are fully invested within the basketball collaboration, especially on what happened with Selen, this was their final straw and they just got to stop, If I have a better solution, they should just either dismantle this organization and create a new industry from scratch and fix their management ASAP, but even so it takes a lot of money to even do that kind of thing, there's no hope for them anymore
Why do I always see u 😂
Imma be honest, had they not gone all in with the Selen situation, I would've been willing to forget about it, let it pass, chalk it up to bad management or whatever. Shit happens, you know? It was super shocking to see something lose it's sense of self-preservation so fast.
Yeah
There's so many japanese viewers who aren't aware of any of whats happening with the en branch

Their legal team has to deal with the oxymoronic niji "managers" and couldn't get anything done

That Hex tweet is the first entertaining thing i've seen out of NijiEN in like a year.
(and also the absurdly short time range as the default)
For actual finance people, there are good reasons for this (so you can see changes in detail). They understand such axis grossly distort proportions. It is optimized for showing change, not magnitude.
The problem is, these charts have escaped the confines of people who know how to read a graph and into the general public consciousness.
So misreading graphs to push an exaggerated view ahoy!
I wad at the Dodgers game where Gura sang and let me tell you i was SO suprised the entire stadium sang along with her. I figured i was about to hear a ton of wtf's and no everyone just sang with Gura. It was fantastic.
I'm convinced that Nijisanji aka Kurosanji embraces people who are deceptive, crazy, and messed up in many ways.

That particular brand is quite well known even outside of Korea and Japan. It's seriously strong and you do NOT want to mix it 1:1 with anything.
Kuzuha and Kanae are fun and good guys as far as I watch their streaming.

Is something I'm gonna say daily now
I'm just a casual chronoir enjoyer, especially since my JP understanding is only intermediate, but I enjoy catching the occasional Kanae or Kuzuha stream. That being said, WILD. What are those boys doing? lol
Just a bit more context, the mixing one was actually a staff recommendation. Both Kanae and Kuzuha are just the presenter and the staff gave ideas on how to drink the beverage by mixing stuff.
Wonder if he’s gonna talk about the atsu doc

THERES A THIRD!! I found this overview yesterday.
psst soju (as pictured) is KOREAN alcohol, you're looking for sake
Caffeine is also an upper and suger is a downer
No? Alcohol is a NSD, Caffeine a NSS.
One of the drinks we drink most often here (and one of my favs) is energy drinks + vodka, so not even 3 mins in and I can see that this will be so much fun lol
edit: most people go with 1:2 or 1:3 ratio, me and my friends usually go with 1:1. That being said, we are experienced lol do not try that ratio as your first taste lmao
i was more shocked when a line "SOJU is a JAPANESE alcohol" was said, soju is from korea tho...
Wake up guys Mujin just posted
