I feel like Ashoka has become similar to Qui Gon. Not exactly like him but similar in that she realizes the Jedi code is flawed and focuses on the best way to use the force rather than only be restricted to the light.
I agree with this. I also like that she didn't or doesn't appear to be against the idea of Luke training grogu even though she decided not to. She seems to even seem a little excited about the idea of opening up a new school even though she sees the flaws in the Jedi code.

Yes this, clearly they had that chat between Mando and Book of Bobba. In mando Ashoka still didn’t know Anakin had been saved. Anakin is bond between them.
I think that will be done in the Ahsoka series. Flashbacks being a cool DSWS plot device, it could show her reaction to feeling things change in the Force, when Vader became Anakin again by killing Palpatine to save Luke. Like when she felt him go Dark, she feels him come back but is confused as to how? Going by the celebrations at the end of ROTJ, she will at least get to know that the second Death Star and a Super Star Destroyer were blown up, the Imperial Fleet routed, and that Darth Vader and The Emperor were killed in Rebel attacks headed by Skywalkers and their allies.
You can just imagine Luke and Ahsoka drinking a tea and laughing and enjoying the conversation about the times Anakin was heroic and valiant. Luke would be smiling as he tells Ahsoka about how he held his father in his arms as he lay dying and being rescued from the dark side to the light. Powerful stuff to think about. Maybe it would be best to leave that sort of thing off screen and for us fans to enjoy in our minds.
I agree, she was considered family by Anakin, like when she left hurt him so much. As for Rey...no Skywalker actually had an emotional moment with Rey..cause well..almost but all are dead. Edit: just remembered..they all died lmfao
@@Shadeius your right but from an outside view on things ashoka has know and been with both padme and anakin for years. Shes almost on the same level as Obi-wan in terms of family status.
I still wanna see the very first conversations between luke and ahsoka. I wanna hear Ahsoka tell luke how heroic and loving anakin truely was how deeply he cared for the people around him. While Luke tells ahsoka at the end of the day, Vader saved himself(luke) from sidious onslaught. And that how his father was able to redeem himself and come back to the light 🥲
How cool would it have been to have Luke mention speaking with his father to Ahsoka. How he speaks highly of her. For Ahsoka to correct his grammar "spoke highly" and Lukes like nah, i can teach you how to communicate with fallen jedi, as obi wan taught me.. That would have been an awesome set up for the Ahsoka series, having the occasional chat with Anakin
I really want the Ahsoka series to have a flash back or opening to her meeting Luke; this was honestly not what I had anticipated seeing them on screen together at the same time for the first time.
Maybe it's just me but I noticed Dawson was incorporating more of Ahsoka's standing positions gestures in this episode. She felt a lot more like the animated version, like she really studied her even further than the first time and even feeling a bit more comfortable in the costume.
There is also a 3rd person to always have faith in Anakin/Vader which is Padme. She never lost faith in him and she cared for him till her dying breath. Example - her wondering if Anakin is alright after the duel on mustafar and her know there is still good in him as she died
It just hurts seeing this now, considering how bad the sequel trilogy went. Star Wars could have been much greater and celebrated right now... man it's such a disappointing feeling.
I’m liking the Disney + series at least so far. 😅 The Mandalorean was great and I’m liking Book of Boba Fett so far too. (don’t mention the speeder chase. don’t mention the speeder chase. don’t mention the speeder chase. )
What made me the most happy was the notion that Luke must have shared with the fact that Anakin sacrificed himself to stop the Emperor and save Luke. That he became Anakin again. I can only imagine how much that would mean to Ahsoka. She may have heard this was the case, but to hear it directly from Luke…I hope we get to see a flashback of this conversation, or perhaps even in real time.
Seeing Luke and Ashoka in live action is amazing..seeing them interact as a fan of both characters is a dream come true. I like this videos format..asks the what it's rather than telling what is.
When we first saw Ashoka in The Mandalorian episode 5 of season 2, it was like Ashoka's spirit was in a "deep dark pit of despair" because of Anakin, her old master and friend. However, this time, it was like a giant weight was lifted from her shoulders. That is because Luke would have told her about his father; how he killed Palpatine (saving him) and returned to the light; ceasing to be Darth Vader, and becoming Anakin Skywalker again.
I thought it was great for many reasons. It tied a lot of things together. Most importantly it tied the very likable Anakin from the Clone Wars series to Luke; he must have learned a lot more about his father from Ahsoka than he ever got from Obi-Wan, Yoda, and others.
I’m still lost on Ashoka discouraging the Jedi order coming back when she is in reality one of the most ideal embodiments of a Jedi that could exist and the positive impact she could have on its founding.
She is afraid the old mistakes that led to the Jedi fall come back with it , as she once said when djin jarin asked her to be grogus master and she said no I can’t teach him * i see wat it does even to the best of us* or something along that line it’s clear she speaks of Vader and she is plagued by the trauma to be partially responsible for his creation and lost confidence in the ability of most Jedi to not eventually embrace the dark side because in her mind if her master the best there did it he joined who wouldn’t at least that’s how I see things
Also she didn't believe in the Jedi anymore. She considered them just as fighters of war who didn't look at the implications of their actions to the rest of the world. She believes in the path of the force where it is her duty to help those who cannot do so themselves. It can also be said that Ahsoka had grown up to learn what a Jedi is supposed to be and the drastic difference in what a jedi was(during the height of clone wars). She had grownup during the war, witnessed the loss of her master and the downfall of Jedi order and the peace and tranquility brought during the pocket of time between Fall of the jedi and establishment of the first order.
@@panthbarola1256 Well said, I agree. I also wonder if Mace Windu's comments about "her great trial..." etc. sealed her decision. The arrogance of the Jedi council was very disappointing considering what she had to go through. Only Plo Koon and Anakin were apologetic.
@@Cai77 Windu dropped the ball big time with Ahsoka. If you rewatch that scene, you only see Ahsoka facial expressions close up when Mace is talking and not when any other Jedi is talking.
Great video. Hope we see more of ahsoka and luke’s interaction. After clone wars (before season 7) ahsoka had become my favorite force user. From little sister to older wise sister. She is the purest of the light. Following the will of the force only. Cant wait for ahsoka series!
The significance for me is how much respect Ahsoka has for Luke. She claims that there isn’t a safer place in the galaxy than with Luke. She claims to have the upmost faith in his decisions and abilities. She saw the best and worst of Anakin, was trained by him, and Luke earned her approval. Additionally, Luke welcomes her as he would family or friend. It’s not just family members meeting; it’s almost like you can see Anakin saying he’s proud of them both. You also get to see Luke’s place as a Jedi and Ahsoka’s place, despite all that has happened, as an honorary Skywalker validated. It’s healing.
Not to take a lot from this video but, let's remember. Qui-Gon jinn trained to become a Force ghost by the sisters, that's Canon, but he could only be a voice. As a voice Qui-Gon said to yoda that he is from a place that is beyond time, meaning that he could see everything past present and future. Now Yoda and Obi-Wan also went through the same training as Qui-Gon, however they were able to master it and become Force ghosts. Therefore it is safe to say that both Yoda and Obi-Wan as Force ghosts also come from a place beyond time, and have more to offer it as Force ghosts than Qui-Gon. But it's also safe to say that they can see past present and future just like Qui-Gon. Therefore it is safe to say that through negative reinforcement to Luke, Yoda and Obi-Wan constantly told Luke that he couldn't save his father so that Luke could believe even more that he could save his father. I REST MY CASE.
It's still partially her fault. If she stayed, she would have been knighted and one of the requirements of master is to train a padawan to knighthood. Once Anakin was granted the rank of master, he would've had access to the restricted section of the Jedi archives and seen that Palpatine was lying about being able to save Padme.
Thanks for continuing with the format; great job! You've reached deep into the philosophy construed from the many years of plot points, where the concept isn't always exclusively mentioned. That's the hook.. Keep it up!
Ahsoka being involved in completing Luke’s training between V and VI would make me very happy. If she turns the timeline away from the Kennedy trilogy too would be sweet relief. She is how you fix Disney Star Wars.
I really liked your opinion here and would enjoy more free flowing videos like this one in the future. I agree with you that the gravity of these two characters FINALLY interacting together is absolutely massive Knowing Dave Filoni I think we will someday get the satisfaction of seeing Luke tell Ahsoka that Anakin was redeemed before he died. He knows that we all want to see that so badly and I bet you he wants to see it too.

Deep, affectionate knowledge of the lore and and undeniable empathy for these characters I’ve spent 40 years of my life following. Thanks for being the best Star Wars channel on youtube!!
Now we just need Rex to come back and complete the set. The one scene I've wanted to see for years, ever since we found out he was alive and well in rebels/episode 6. Rex meeting Luke after the first death star and telling him about his parents. Honestly I think this could have even been the reason why Luke was so devastated by Vader being his father and why he believed there was something worth saving. His adopted family never told him much and neither did Obi Wan, so Rex telling him would be extremely cool to see.
This opened my eyes a lot as a huge fan of anakin and ahsoka's relationship/story. Never thought of the complete opposite thing. And few other things. Great video
I like seeing them interact. I just wish we could have seen how they met. It's like all the important stuff happens offscreen or is briefly mentioned. Probably done on purpose to warrant another spinoff and keep us on Disney+. IDK, just my thoughts. Still liked it though.
Luke the son of Anakin and Ashoka the protege of Anakin who's last in memories of him was as Vader. Yeah I just from the title of the video I agree that it's a very important meeting.
For me, Ahsoka and Luke meeting was absolutely everything. I love that it wasn't overly mushy or emotional because that's not who either of them are. I'd love to have more of them interacting and have Luke ask about what Anakin was like from Ahsoka's perspective. I'd really love to see Ahsoka meet Leia, but I don't think we'll ever get that.
Great video providing context to the story of Ahsoka, one of my favorite characters from SW! The order failed Ahsoka when they doubted her innocence at the end of clone wars s5. Her unwillingness to return was more than justified.
I will forever be grateful to Filoni and the CW crew for helping breathe new life into the prequel movies and it’s characters but more importantly for adding a character like Snips to canon. She’s without a doubt Top5 on my list all time just all around likeable and she didn’t start off that way for me.
Ahsoka chose to live by a moral code and that is what the Jedi should be. To choose what is right and do it. I loved seeing her and Luke interact. I do hope though that we get to see Luke tell Ahsoka that Anakin came back to the light in the end. I want to see that on-screen. That will be a powerful moment. Perhaps we will get that in the Ahsoka show in some form. Time will tell. I do like these free-flowing videos. They are fun to listen to and generate conversation about topics.
Wow it’s well cool seeing Luke and Ahsoka together and interacting plus she can teach Luke about his farther and not lie or colour the truth as she’s always been honest apart from with the sisters. An bro always share you point of view if we didn’t wanna know we wouldn’t watch your channel 🤗
First Off... I continue to marvel at the actress who plays Ahsoka... she is killing it with every gesture and every glance. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed her meeting Luke. It very special.
Ahsoka would never have been able to redeem Anakin the way Luke did. Even though they were so very close, I believe he did feel betrayed a bit that she refused to return. But Luke is also Padme's son (as Anakin/Vader also realized about Leia) and there is still deep love and grief over Padme's loss, so in realizing Sidious lied to him (that Anakin had killed Padme in anger) he must have found his hope again because both Luke and Leia are alive. Would've made it easier to turn on his Sith master, in my opinion.
I loved to See Ahsoka and Luke. You make really good points that they never gave up hope in trying to make Anakin come back from the Dark side. The MAGNETUDE OF HAPPINESS it brings me to see Luke and Ahsoka. I love the character Ahsoka as she embodies the best of the Jedi. After watching the all the Star Wars Rebels and watching a timeline of the Star Wars history. The Jedi mistakes of not having attachments or loved ones is there downfall. Don't get me wrong Star Wars is all about the father and the son and what path the son takes to redeem his father. Ahsoka is one of the best characters created. I don't blame her for leaving the Jedi order.. and that didn't save her from order 66. She has matured over the years and seeing character development is what we want to see. Growth in the force and in wisdom. I can't wait to see her in her own series. Thanks for your views and thoughts of how important this meeting of the two great jedi are to the series and to the franchise.
I say this all the time...Ahsoka is the biggest badass. Remember at the end of TCW when she beat DARTH friggin' MAUL? And when she sliced Vaderkin's helmet in Rebels? I may suspect the writers have a thing for her.
I hope we see Ashoka meet Anakin (force ghost) again but I feel it's going to be like Goku meeting Bardock. Me Wanting them to meet but knowing that it will never happen.
From something I've noticed it from a lot of the Star wars movies and shows is Vader's more of an entity of a previous sith instead of people describing it as still Anakin because he says he killed Anakin and in some ways people do describe it as killing their former self to be something new but with the way he talks it seems like it's more of an entity instead of Anakin changing into a different person
Ahsoka failed many missions and tasks (she didn't just succeed at everything as mentioned in this video), was defiant (by design) and often lacked punishment. Eventually she had to answer for her actions, such as letting an entire squadron of clones die or even losing a republic cruiser, and her punishment taught her patience, especially when she lost her lightsaber. She got her recklessness and stubbornness from Anakin. She left, because like Anakin, she did not agree with the council's actions or decisions, and potentially shows what Anakin would have been if he hadn't fallen into favor with Palpatine. Ahsoka was not received well, again by design, in the beginning of the clone wars animated series, however this left a lot of room for character growth. Side note, Ahsoka is really not that extraordinary of a force user, but her training from Anakin still allowed her to be much better than most since he is the most powerful "humanoid" force user ever.
you mentioned Ahsoka breaking free of her chains, and Anakin being even more chained after turning to the dark side. this is so ironic, considering part of the Sith code is “through victory my chains are broken, the force shall free me.” Ahsoka’s story debunks this, and i love it.
Another reason this is so big is that Ahsoka has risen to the point she's treated on the same level as movie characters. That's so rare in Star Wars, usually, the movies don't care for the other material but see Ahsoka and Luke together really says a lot.

I’m happy they have each other.
Ahsoka gets to have some reminder of her master with her.
This opened my eyes a lot as a huge fan of anakin and ahsoka's relationship/story. Never thought of the complete opposite thing. And few other things. Great video
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS
It’s unfair!
imagine if we got another Star Wars live action series that focuses on the relationship/training between 'Luke & Ashoka'.
In the AHSOKA series I really want to see Ahsoka Tano meeting Luke Skywalker and have Anakin Skywalker's Force Ghost in the background
I enjoy the free flowing type content as well because it provides another insight to things
means everything to all of us
Can we all just agree the sequels are not cannon but a force dream of luke, he has now woke up from that dream and this is the real canon.
I would love to see a lightsaber duel between Luke and Ahsoka! that would be incredible I think!
I want to see her tell him about BOTH parents because I always wondered how she reacted to finding out Anakin and Padme were married.
I love this format!
Mara Jade visited Luke several times as he was training his students! She later observed he was too busy with his younglings to talk with her.
I want to see Luke tell ahsoka that anekin came back and he died at peace
Honestly, its one of the greatest star wars moments
Really like the free flowing video this also probably my favorite part from the mandalorian
It was mind blowing to see them interact
I like seeing them interact. I just wish we could have seen how they met. It's like all the important stuff happens offscreen or is briefly mentioned. Probably done on purpose to warrant another spinoff and keep us on Disney+. IDK, just my thoughts. Still liked it though.
I would love to see Ahsoka interact with Anakin’s force ghost.
Luke the son of Anakin and Ashoka the protege of Anakin who's last in memories of him was as Vader. Yeah I just from the title of the video I agree that it's a very important meeting.
“A little sad and melancholy”
-the child just floating
Came across your page by accident bro, UA-cam algorithm and MAN, fricking loved this yo. I say this is great and you should keep it going 🙋🏿♂️
This is hands down one of the best takes on Ahsoka that I have ever come across. I love this
For me, Ahsoka and Luke meeting was absolutely everything.
That really is so meaningful
It was outstanding to see in Star Wars!
Ahsoka is like Qui-Gon in the force just DO
Anakin didn't "lose" his friends. He killed them.
I will forever be grateful to Filoni and the CW crew for helping breathe new life into the prequel movies and it’s characters but more importantly for adding a character like Snips to canon. She’s without a doubt Top5 on my list all time just all around likeable and she didn’t start off that way for me.
Ashoka is like Luke’s aunt and obi wan is like his uncle.
I always knew they would get along if they met, if anything for their mutual love of tennis.
Wow it’s well cool seeing Luke and Ahsoka together and interacting plus she can teach Luke about his farther and not lie or colour the truth as she’s always been honest apart from with the sisters.
An bro always share you point of view if we didn’t wanna know we wouldn’t watch your channel 🤗
great video and the freeflowing method suits you well
This had me emotional as hell
Great video ! I love both kinds of videos
She was born to play Ahsoka. Did amazing on acting
I say this all the time...Ahsoka is the biggest badass. Remember at the end of TCW when she beat DARTH friggin' MAUL? And when she sliced Vaderkin's helmet in Rebels? I may suspect the writers have a thing for her.
I loved seeing them together
This was a great video, I really enjoyed thanks
Prequels meeting original trilogy, hopefully that means more prequels/Clone Wars Lego sets.
I hope we see Ashoka meet Anakin (force ghost) again but I feel it's going to be like Goku meeting Bardock.
Me Wanting them to meet but knowing that it will never happen.
Honestly this was frank and nice , enjoyable and though provoking still ty
One of your best videos to date
From something I've noticed it from a lot of the Star wars movies and shows is Vader's more of an entity of a previous sith instead of people describing it as still Anakin because he says he killed Anakin and in some ways people do describe it as killing their former self to be something new but with the way he talks it seems like it's more of an entity instead of Anakin changing into a different person
I hope in the Ahsoka series they made one episode when they both finally meet each other for the first time.
Pretty awesome how you perceive and tell the story.
Luke is finding his way as a master. We may see him stumble with Grogu.
I'd like to see their first meeting. How Asoka reacted to Anakin having children I want to know
I like listening to your opinions, please continue to share them with us.
you mentioned Ahsoka breaking free of her chains, and Anakin being even more chained after turning to the dark side. this is so ironic, considering part of the Sith code is “through victory my chains are broken, the force shall free me.” Ahsoka’s story debunks this, and i love it.
Amazing. Love your content
I think its great to see that Disney understands that Ahsoka and Luke needed to meet each other
That moment was amazing
Oh my gosh I love your channel you and star wars theory are my favorite Channels
I really hope Luke is in the Ahsoka show
Vader and Anakin feel like there 2 entirely different people sometimes.
I just want Luke to call Ahsoka "snips" on screen sometime. It's such a small ask.
I'm glad they met finally.
