The Khanate itselve as a nation wasn't really imported. Just it's pure existance and it's actions, those are important.

Question: Why can't Yaroslav defeat the Persians when they beat the Byzantines so easily? What is so special about the way Persia fights that Yaroslav can't counter it?

As it was briefly explained in the video, Yaroslav was trained to be specialized against EasternRoman/Byzantine armies and their strategies which made him very unflexible, same with Mykhail except that he was trained to deal with Persians. When the Persian army came he had no idea how to fight them effectivly and so his biggest strenght also became his biggest weakness.
