Astronauts travel to save the dying sun in 2057 but the unexpected happens in space

The movie is set in a not far off distant future in 2057. Earth is treading on a
dangerous course as the sun is slowly dying. This has resulted in a permanent solar winter with humanity on the verge of extinction.
