The "corner reference" was a great help in this tutorial. Thanks a lot! To those asking how to "swap corners", there's NO swapping towards the end, only TWISTING (10:05). The corner swapping happens at the beginning of the solve at 3:32.
I really appreciate that this tutorial didn’t talk about how simple or intuitive the puzzle is. So many tutorials do that, and it feels pretty bad if you’re struggling
The best tutorial for this cube. I really liked that reference corner approach. I had problems following the last corner twisting algorithm. I had to watch very closely to understand what pieces move where. My (i think) simplified explanation is: - the corner you want to rotate is on the top - *A* corner(doesnt matter which one) is in the front. A center piece cant be in the front. - your left with two other cornes(to the left and to the right of the front one), grab both of them with your hands and DONT LET GO. - the algorithm is "up up down down up up down down" but each move is done with a different hand. - if you started the first "up" move with your right hand, it will rotate the corner clockwise. If you started with your left hand, counterclockwise.
This is the most helpful solving tutorial I've seen for this cube. You actually thought to use a reference corner, which a lot of people don't do, so you get lost while they juggle the thing haphazardly throughout the solve. I also appreciate that you make a point of showing that we establish a corner as being our outset, with the goal being to work outwards from there, instead of talking about how "It's just a shape mod of a 2x2" or "once we have this 'canoe' we don't even really need to do any more moves" before fidgeting and jump cutting mid algorithm. Well done - 5 years later - but still.
Guys, if your corners don't work out in the end here's the problem: When you choose your orientation point, all the other corners around it need to have colors that match the three sides they are connected to because in the end they need to be rotated. This is very important because otherwise there is a chance you almost solve it but have to switch (not rotate) your corners which is as far as I know not possible or at least I don't know the algorithm. Literally, this important piece of information is almost nowhere explained! After that, simply solve the centers, be sure to push the one to the back first and after that continue solving the centers. Then solve the corners and voila.
i just got my pyramorphix today and i tried all day to solve it but i just can’t do it. i know how to solve many other cubes so this isn’t my first cube i tried to solve so i thought i try some algorithms but none worked. than i watched many tutorials but non helped because they just said turn back. this is by far the best tutorial because there are real turning algorithms so i was finally able to solve the cube after 17h. thank you for this great tutorial
You helped me a lot with this video👌 You are the only Person on UA-cam that makes the tutorial understandable enough for this puzzle! Appreciate your work🔝
I did it!!!! I don't believe it !!!!!!. If you can teach an old dog like me, you can teach anyone! Best tutorial ever!!!!! Thanks so much, now I'm off to piss off the grandkids hahaha
Hey I already have my own super easy way to solve a pyramid phone I just couldn’t get the last layer and the center piece orientation algorithms enabled me to be able to solve it every time. The first parts were confusing but I just used my way and now I can solve it. Thx!
Thank you a lot for your Video, I`ve learned it so fast after two times watching your Video. I love the way that you describe it, it is so easy to understand. I have solved it several times without any problem and I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much.😇
Thank you slick cuber this was the best tutorial i have ever seen on youtube for pyramorphix . Best tutorial for beginners .thanks a lot slick cuber ❤❤❤ i had the urge to learn to solve pyra morphix but not found any success but after this video i was able to solve it .thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I came here to comment the same thing…early in the video he uses “L” and turns it away from him and then later he says “L prime” but still turns it away from him when I understood the L prime was to turn towards you.
Maaaaaan u'r the best thank u so much, very clean and easy, step by step, the point of holding the corner is the golden point that u never lose the track, after watching so many videos at last found the master solver
my corners are going to the wrong position when applying 3rd case of center placement. 1st and 2nd case of the same is working out fine. Kindly guide on 3rd case of center placement
FINALLY A GOOD TUTORIAL! this is the 5th video I've watched for pyramorphix and I finally know how to solve it! Thanks so much for a great easy to follow tutorial! 😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😀
Still tough as nails for me, probably because of the morphing:) I managed to solve the Pyramorphix with this tutorial though, thanks! Gotta practice a lot to get up to speed with it as with my 3x3x3 normal cube.
You don't have to normally but it's not very well explained in the video or anywhere else for that matter. Here's the thing, when you choose your orientation point, all the other corners around it need to have colors that match the three sides they are connected to because in the end they need to be rotated.

After this was sitting unsolved for months, and spending a lot of time dredging through other bad written and video tutorials, YOUR vid finally helped me solve it! However, I have 2 nit picks. I don't think you explained that at the starting point, you need to have the tips oriented to the reference tip (despite if they're rotated correctly or not). This hung me up until I finally saw it Lastly is the final tip rotations. It sounds like the tip to rotate points at me (like the reference tip) and you say that the reference doesn't matter. Well after about 5 failed solves, I finally caught that the reference tip DOES matter (keep it pointing at you), but the tip you want to rotate is at the top
Hey, could you please explain what you mean by "However, I have 2 nit picks. I don't think you explained that at the starting point, you need to have the tips oriented to the reference tip (despite if they're rotated correctly or not). This hung me up until I finally saw it"? Because I am having the same issue, sometimes I solve it, sometimes not, so there is something I don't know about

The thing was that when you choose your orientation point, all the other corners need to match the colors of the three sides they are connected to. I was stuck on this thing for weeks. Just getting the damned thing back into a pyramid shape was a challenge. That was until I watched this video. Plus I solved it finally. Definitely the best video on solving this cube. Good job explaining the procedures and what to keep an eye on while working it
