I hope Division 3 doesn’t have this, it’s too much
It doesn’t.
I agree. Way, way too much
Your holy triad for leveling up expertise:
- use or at least equip the gear
- donate gear duplicates
- donate materials (donate them individually)
From lvl 30 to 40, you can also level up fast doing Descent.
100%
There really are only two things you need to do:
1. Run countdown over and over. 2-3 runs will finish a brand/gearset. Countdown alone will get you to ~16-18.
2. Power level to 40, donate filament. Delete char, rinse and repeat.
You can try to passively level skills, but running gimp builds drove me nuts. And it took me about as much time to level one skill up as it did to just solo through WONY back in the day. Passively leveling pistols or the odd weapon is fine, but in the end, I just dumped filament like mad.
Donovan said exactly how you should work with Your expertise. To maked his way little bit easiest Check every vendor every week to find named items, buy them, for all game, you got enough money, donate them. Play with high-end weapon in your 1st slot (ar, rife, pistol with you like) this give you possibility to put every sh*** old exotic weapon and 2nd slot. Make 3 characters in game, You can play later only one, but watch lvl it's growing for all of them, what give You points, with You can change for resources. (making new character on 40lvl it's 3-5h play. Collecting points and resources cost You hundreds or thousand hours)
Yea i noticed this as a returning player you don’t actually have to use the piece of gear you just donate mats makes it a lot easier
DZ leveling is absolute FIRE. You get everything: XP, gear, proficiency caches, DZ caches ...
Best comment for solo players!!
adding expertise to this game was L move honestly , ain't no body got time for that shhhiii
I totally agree with this. Also, if you don't want to use new characters, you can grind the countdown and select specific gears. That's what I did for some time. Every so often, I would create a new character and finish the story, usually takes about 2 hours or so.
That’s how I would do it until I get most of my items filled up
My exp lvl is 26. It was kinda straightforward. I level'd up "traditionally" to around 16 and then ran Wony a few times.
I’m 26 already bring characters back from NY and use the watch points to donate to your expertise 🥃
Nice
I have been playing for almost two months, I am at 14 which is getting expensive for bonus armor or damage for weapons + specializations
Just spent 30 minutes in the shooting range and the Coyote's mask is not buffing other players in the group. Can someone please test and confirm.
i dont know why division content creators dont talk straight to the point. wasting other people time is not goo. they eventually drop off your video
I use materials to level up stuff Ill never have..like system corruption etc.
If you have a lot of credits you can use them to buy the named items from the vendors and donate them. The best way to increase your expertise for Brand Sets/Gear sets is from countdown, just collect everything and donate them.
yep i do that too
Don't forget my recommendation is you should try to get your SHD watch to 2000-2500 but I'm starting at 1400 :)
Good gouge, Skillz. We tell all the noobies we run into about this.
Did our shd level get reset?
I haven't touched the game for a while.
I was around 4000 I think.
Expertise does not transfer to the new Seasons 2.0 Charaters. Almost making it useless for the majority of the game (when seasons 2.0 comes out).
Expertise will still be on your mains
@NothinButSkillz of which you can play 6 weeks put of the year on new content. Mains get shafted and only get to play the old missions mostly. Look I get to kill dragov for the 1000th time but with more expertise. ROFL
With the picrdo's holster. Make a haste build with some skill damage. And use different skills. I did this and it's fun and a bit of a challenge.
Cool idea
🫡
Pfff, true beginners tip: spend scavenging points on money, buy mods, deconstruct, get 20% more printer filament. Tedious but efficient if you're low on points/levels
Sorry, but what's the point? We all loose our characters next season..
we dont?
You guys have faith leveling expertise, i wish you only courage💪
Thank you
All great tips. Agents need to be doing all of the above. I would encourage people to make builds to use new gear and skills. It may not be your legendary build, but you’ll level it up faster and may enjoy playing content in a new playstyle.
what apparel are you using? :o
I’m lvl 604 and I always take calibration or field recon data , should I not be doing this … I figure it’s the main mat used in optimization so that’s just what I take
I tried the dz right before the update earlier this week and wasn’t even getting 30k for landmarks. That was my first thought. Maybe it was glitched. I’m
Try it again
Run WoNY... ez clap
Thank you Skillz! I've been struggling to max out my items.
Not worth when the new seaaon arrives. I wont bother doing that.
If you want to min max your main character it’s worth it
It’s a slow grind to expertise 26. Thank you 🙏
Also, if you already have more than one agent, don't delete them and let your lvls stack up, once a week log into them and get your SHD lvls and turn into printer filaments, I have three and it's triple the SHD points, gonna run a 4th just for that quick lvl
Agree keep 3 remake the 4th over and over
@@NothinButSkillz Thats all going to change when seasons 2.0 goes live. youre going to be allocated 5 slots with no extra stash space and all.
But isn’t the watch and its points shared? Therefore anything you spend from it on character a will be spent also from characters b and c.
If I had 20 shd point to spend and spent 15 on character a, there would then only be 5 left on whichever character I logged into next.
@andygreener3130 The watch is shared from your main character with each new character that you get to lvl 40 and buy the shared materials blueprint from Inaya. So if you have 500 svav points on character 2, 500 on character 3, spend 250 on character 2, you'll still have 500 on character 3. Hope this makes sense.
@@xXp0SeDx hmm, I’ll check . Fully aware of shared mats etc but not sure that’s true about the shd points. I’ll check later.
he said "don't worry about killing anybody" meanwhile getting farmed by rogue players😂
There isn’t many people fighting at 31-39 to be fair if you do swap to another dz. You can run landmarks so fast
wait, do i need to lvl up multiple chars for expertise?
i dont really get it
Cheers Skillz! Helpful video…. Only at level 985 so going to get to 1000 then create another mule! Did one 2 weeks ago and did the DZ route and it was quick even as a solo player!
Glad it helped!
Could you make a blueprint farm vid please
Not worth it, unless you run pvp in DZ...
With named items, thankfully, I use my Descent blueprints to craft them at the bench for donation to make them for donation to the bench and thus making them proficient.
Smart idea if you like playing descent
Bad thing is, this won't mean much with seasonal characters coming. Unless the devs pull their heads from their asses.
It will if you want to keep leveling and doing other stuff. Seasonal will just be something else to do
How do I get so many material spends on a watch? Do I have to level up a whole character to level 2000?
Like, start a second one and delete them again. That's a lot of time.
How difficult is it to get back into this game? I haven't played since we got the watches to level up.
Pretty easy tbh you can make a new character lvl 30, takes about 7 hours to get to 40 then you can hop into countdown and grind gear like a mf. Worth a try at the very least
Thank You
You're welcome
I am 26 expertise
I'm missing what is the benefit you get , a lot of the skills or equipment I will never use, can you plz explain.
Expertise is made to increase you chars power. You have to level up each item to proficient to get higher expertise. Recommend checking out my expertise guide
@@NothinButSkillz i did and ty it all makes sense now. Btw I subscribed you are very helpful.
When seasons 2.0 comes out. there is no point in worrying about the expertise system as you have to start from scratch every season. The only character that will worry about expertise system would be the non-seasonal character. There's a reason why I didnt worry about expertise then and now ill be going even slower in terms of expertise. once season 2.0 goes live, youll be on your main for two weeks during the off season and that in itself is not worth me busting my head to grind out for expertise. Sorry. Even then, the only ones worried about expertise are the DZ sweats and still thats not enough. Expertise to me is Division 2's Prestige system thats all it is.
You can still play your main to do legendary missions, incursions raids dark zone, raids. Lots of things you will still use your main for
Very helpful info. Thanks for the the DZ tip. Going to definitely give it a go.
Any time!
Since Season 6 I've got 3 pcs System Corruption in open world. Has anyone else got any?
hmm i havent
@@NothinButSkillz I don't do Dark Zone and I don't use named legacy caches. I'm know I'm not the only one because that would be mathematically impossible... I'm a math teacher if that makes a difference.
What does expertise do make the gear better or can you add to it?
Makes the gear better. For gear pieces it increases the armor and for weapons it increases the damage. So lvl 1 expertise gear and weapons are significantly weaker than lvl 15-max lvl expertise. It’s really good for players that want to get competitive in the dark zone or get faster clears in legendary missions or invasions, strongholds, etc.
You can only level your gear to your expertise lvl, so I’m expertise level 15. I can lvl all my gear to lvl 15 and once I hit expertise 16, I can now upgrade all those pieces to lvl 16 now. I’m capped by my expertise idk if that makes sense. I know the first time I heard it, it was very confusing. I tried my best there!
one weapons 1% weapon damage per expertise so max is 26 expertise so you could have 26% more dmg and gear 1% armor and skills depends on skills some give dmg and some heals
@@Skrimlo thanks for that…so critical hit damage and crit chance damage percentages go up?
no that is from your watch but your base dmg will go up. Here is a guide on expertise ua-cam.com/video/psNZb-fciw0/v-deo.html
*sees title*
NO! 😂
I’m only at 4 and it seems like it take forever
do weapons in countdown first. Start with ar donate all and then smgs, lmgs and so on. That should give you a nice bump.
that fit is tough
Great idea! I was doing this today
but how can your agent share the materials? it is bonded to that character no?
Go to the crafting vendor at the base buy a blueprint called “share materials” this allows you to share all materials
@@NothinButSkillz ohh
Didnot know that
Will try then
FD2
I am actually leveling the expertise on my weapons
best way to get the first part is just do countdown and put the weapons you need donate all. Once you get most of them continue with gear brand sets and gear then this method
@@NothinButSkillz😅
There is no expertise in season2.0 coming in october for the seasonal characters.
You will gain profiency (like in the new gear) which will transfer and accumulate on your main... but what really is the point if you can only at best use your main during the intermission for anything relevant?
If you plan to ignore seasons, then I guess its relevant to grind it up but best of luck on the exotic grind to get individual pieces of gear up, which again are not shared with your season character.
You can still play your main o do raids and incursions and legendary so expertise does matter in those people wanting to do the hardest content In the game
@NothinButSkillz sure, but who are you going to play with if everyone is playing seasons? Splitting the playerbase is yet another issue with seasons.
My point is the bang for the buck ROI is going to go down even further than it is currently going forward.
That was the entire point and allure of the season model for new/returning/low investment players. And frankly why any vet that has done what you are advocating/covering in this video feels sh*t on (myself included).
Clans will still do these activities and players will still do it. You only need 3 more people for legendary or incursions and 7 more for raids. People will grind both some will stay on seasonal some with play on mains. I will play on both
@NothinButSkillz must be nice to have friends!
Also why grind outside of seasons at all? Especially for gear you can't use 90% of the time?
PVP queues are going to janked up or are you going to fight the same guys you are hooking up with non seasons to run raids to get gear to presumably expertise up that you again don't get to use 90% of the time?
Wish it was optional to participate in seasons.
Meanwhile while you are all burning out on needless expertise grinding. I am just enjoying the game letting it level itself overtime. Mt expertise is 18 and all of the gear I use is there or close to there. And I never tried to level it up. Just giving the game my shit because I do not need to grind for any gear either. Stop trying to keep up with no lifers.! Enjoy the game instead.
It’s called min maxing it’s a looter shooter lol
@@NothinButSkillz Yea dude, what I said is what the devs said they intended when they added expertise. what happened is that influencers like you looking for clicks told everyone to grind out the expertise levels so you can cheese everything with Striker meta.
And unless you are a noob, you stopped needing to loot crap. I mean wth do you need?
I'm embarrassed to say this as a veteran Division player. The expertise is zero for each character until you level that character up correctly. So the expertise doesn't carry over to each character the watch does.
Huh? As soon as you get your character to level 40 it gives you a watch now no need to do keener either…? You buy the shared materials blueprint and you good to go? Not sure what you are saying.
True in a sense as each piece of equipment needs to have expertise added to it separately for each character. As an example, you can have a Memento backpack for each character that has different levels of expertise to them. Expertise levels in skills are account wide.
Don’t delete the mule characters because you can’t do the daily and weekly projects on the new character if you do.
Yeah you can just have to finish WONY campaign I believe from what I have been reading. I just use it for the points and delete. Keep 1 as a mule 3 as storage.
@@NothinButSkillz not if the character was made previous to season 6.
@@RJ-pw8ltyes you can. I'm already doing it with mine even tho I didn't need to make a new character.
Does it matter anymore can't use your character play thru season 2.0
You can use your mains for raids incursions legendary missions master manhunt mission
Nobody plays this shit anymore….
people still play it though lol Just more pve
You took a census or something?
Clearly, they do
tbh if they didn't the servers would of been shut down long ago, it's costs money to run those ya know? lol
So what glitch gives you printer filament. Gotta be some glitch out there
None
