- Ace Combat has long stuck with the MiG-29A, the original Fulcrum, all the way back from 1983. That kinda reflects real life, though: Flanker this, Flanker that... for political and doctrinal reasons, the Su-27 family always took priority in development. Which I think is an absolute shame, if you look at how much its western equivalent, the F-16, has evolved since. I think the Fulcrum is a vastly underrated airframe, superior to the Flanker in many ways, and which could be formidable if given similar focus.
Well, just like in real life, people seem to have finally realized that. The MiG-35 arrives in AC7 after first showing up in Infinity, and it is good. It's slightly paradoxical, in that despite being a multirole, it's more air combat focused than its older self; but what it does, it does pretty damn well. If you already like the Mig-29 in AC7, you'll like this - it's everything it was, and then some.

The Mig-35D feels like a better version of the Su-30M2 in game, as a Fulcrum guy, i am so happy that we have a high tier Mig at last, let's hope that the K variant is also added as well in later games.
30M2 still have it's unique "drifting" flight model however
Would love to have the MiG-29KR as a single-seat high tier MiG.
MiG-29SMT would be cool just because its aesthetically different.
Man, I am rusty as hell. Also, probably not a good idea to take that skin in this map... or almost any map - getting a good thumbnail is pretty difficult when everything's sky blue.

It's good to finally have a kinda high-tier MiG in a mainline AC game! The SPW choice is also pretty good, even though I still think a bigger lock-on range would make more sense for the SAAM
Not just high tier, this MiG has the potential to be one of the highest tiered planes on offer. With maneuverability parts it can keep up with the SU35s. It may be one of the best non-super aircraft in the game at this time.
Oh yeah, in the past the only thing we got was the MiG-1.44

Wish Project Aces hooked up more or different camos for the Mig-35; presuming that the Russian Air Force was ok to license this aircraft to begin with; surely that would have been fine.

According to Growler, one of the PA devs said that they did get licenses from Russian companies, but asked not to be put on the licenser blurb

Mig-35 is only two seats variant
There is actually a single seat version of the MiG-35 called the MiG-35S. Although, it really is just a MiG-35D that has its rear seat removed and replaced by avionics equipment and an extra fuel tank. Do really wish it actually have a single seat canopy like the single seat MiG-29 variants. The new F-15EX also have this similar layout if the EX is going single seat, which is a shame really since I like the iconic F-15C single seat canopy look a lot more.

Mikoyan MiG-35D "Super Fulcrum", although more precisely the MiG-35UB "Fulcrum-F" - a far development of the classic MiG-29. The MiG-35 was created for the needs of the Indian MRCA program. Developed on the basis of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29KR/KUBR, the MiG-35D has an increased wing area, new avionics, new air brake, Phazotron Zhuk-ME radar, OLS-13SM-1 infrared sight and engines made by Klimov, the RD-33MK with optional thrust vectoring. The MiG-35D made its debut in the Ace Combat Infinity in its prototype version. In Ace Combat 7, the MiG-35D and MiG-29A combines only the basic armament, ie the GSh-30-1 cannon, and the replaced R-60M missiles (NATO AA-8 "Aphid"). The special armament of the MiG-29A is the R-73 (AA-11 "Archer"), Kh-31P (AS-17 "Krypton") and R-77-1 (AA-12 "Adder") missiles. The skins are the standard camouflage for the MiG-29SMT, the colors of the MiG-29K prototype, the painting of the MiG-29 of the Gromov Institute, the painting of the "Champ" aircraft and the painting of the "Red Moon" squadron machines - "Красная луна" from Assault Horizon. The "GrauWespe", "Yuktobania", "Estovakia" and "Leasath" squadron skins should be available in the future. I think the mig 35 can be great paired with the su 75 in sales, like for special formations the su 75 and the rest of the airforces or braches the mig 35 , i say for sure mantainance and not loose stealth arcrafts like 4 or lower gen

Yeah, thats would be great. First and last Soviet 5th gen fighter. They also could just come up with lore bs reasoning as being Belkan cutting edge design from 15 years ago and yet it still gives a run to more advanced, stealth aircrafts (in the game about dogfighting it supermanuverability would be just cheating)
So performance wise it's pretty similar to the AC04 MiG, only with actual anti air options. Debatable in their usefulness as they might be. (SAAMs are _decent_ at least) It is nice to have a solid performing MiG once again.
6AAMs are pretty good from what I've gather, 4AAMs require a bit more handy work, 8AAMs have that annoying lock stack
I love that Tiger Skin! I really wish we could modify skins and make our own, even if it just was changing color pallets.
That should be for maybe the 8 game or similar in the future for now being more close to the 3 timeline, as merc or usual squadrons with paint like wizzard or cool camos, and be able go do art with say lines,circle and so on in customization for like 50-100 decals for that (the sure amount to make an anime custom skin)

It is amazing how easy it is to get rusty at this game! I've enjoyed the updates over the years but can't wait for another game. Overall, I feel like there are only very minor differences in the aircraft. Would be fun to be able to put additional munitions on the aircraft... IE have more than just 3 options.
I had just wished they put in a proper multi-player mode, something where I could do some ops with friends.
It's me or more planes need the Pulser laser, it's really freaky fun the dogfights with it, pew pew gun, the devs should add an option to change the color of the lasers weapons, TLS and PLSL, red color in a Su-57 will be good.
What we need is more MG pods
I was hoping this variant of the MiG-35 would be the one that had thrust vectoring but alas, they had to cancel due to increased weight ratio and costs

If remember correctly they made it a option or got rid of it all together.
They cut them from the program for cost and weight savings, they never left the drawing board

@@mab2187 It's cool but it defeats the purpose if it makes the aircraft too heavy and costly, especially since the MiG29 was never meant to be a large interceptor like the Flankers. It's always been closer to the F-16 as a lightweight frontline fighter, and adding too much weight is only detrimental. The Fulcrum has always suffered in its flight range, and more weight only compounds that.
@@CsStrez i still believe despite battle proven design, mig35 is not something that would make others want to buy them for their countries when it compares even to latest russian su30 they both have pretty much the same price/cost ratio yet you can get way more from sukhoi family than migs! so buying isn’t logical since the new russian su75 chekmate does every thing mig does just better and it’s not even pricey so you get my points.
