You know it's going to be a good day when you get your shaft polished in the morning
....by Brian Brown? 🤔😛😜🤪😝
@@leddielive think I will pass on that
Trouble comes and goes. My granny always told me that if you're healthy and have food to eat ,everything else will work itself out. Keep the videos coming.
Harvest time is my favorite time of the year for Brian Farming Videos because of the almost daily uploads. Been watching since 2019 and Harvest is so much fun on this channel.
Love your videos, Brian. When changing them flange bearings, you rotate the bearing in the housing to remove it. There are slots in the housing to remove them. And when you are installing any bearings, you want to hit on the part that is being pressed in. That way, you won't damage the bearing internally. So when you guys were using that claw hammer😅 use something to put on the inner race of the bearing to tap it on. Keep up the good work gentlemen..
Stuff happens. I learned one thing, many years ago... If something breaks, it is only proof that you actually did something! And those red snouts WILL be the best comment generator you had since you revealed that you bought a Fendt combine. For the heck, throw a green snout on it too! That will stir up some feelings. Be safe out there and have a good one.❤
"Love how you focus on eco-friendly farming solutions. This is the future we need!"
Great video of what farming is like. Be Safe that is the main thing. Safety first
I’m glad I’m not the only one that breaks shit! Keep your head down and keep moving forward that’s all you can do👍
Drove thru Chillicothe yesterday and was hoping to pass by your farm. Never miss one of your videos. Hope this week goes better. Stay safe.
If you were on us35 you seen it
Those red snouts are a reminder to not bury the head. It's still gonna happen. Thanks, Brian
The woes of a farmer and the prices are through the roof for sure.
Thanks for sharing how things really go. I really enjoyed the school teachers questions! Switch all the snouts to high visibility red or yellow. Those dark colors in low light / dusty conditions really strain your eyes anyway.
Great Video Brian, theres one thing about a poor harvest, it can always get worse! thanks for sharing
Frusstrating is the word i come up whit, and some working words for sure, keep on plugging along and we watch, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
They be like Rudolph, the red nose, reindeer‘s, reminding you every time you look at them while they’re there lol good luck luck with the rest of that tough harvest.
You guys remind me of myself, if it can be broken I can break it lol 😂
I remember back in the 70's we had a lot of down corn. Rented a green all crop head. It worked fairly well. I don't believe there is even anything made like them anymore. Great video. It'll get better.
Not to worry. I sang your theme music to myself, so I missed nothing. Thanks for your hard work.
BJs turn with the combine. It all comes in threes.
Thanks for the video. Keep your head high. Take it easy.
Good luck with salvaging your down corn 🌽. 😊
Two thumbs up.
Mornin yall
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always, Brian!!!
Well Brian if your a terrible farmer we all are unbelievable levels of resilience needed to farm with the current run of weather we are all having. 63 inches of rain here in 12 months more than 3 times our average has been tough. Keep on keeping on.
Torque spec for bearing is 4 ugadugas with impact
I been farming all my life when nothing breaks i thank God an hope i can another one the next day
Intro or not, your video content is worth more than any complaints!
It’s smart you guys lease… ram it… jam it… or slam it.
I’ve had many days like this. I swear I’d have been more productive if I had went home and went back to bed and got up the next day and started over.
Some years go quick and smooth, other years nothing goes right. I hate breaking stuff but it happens. It does get better, hang in there, at some point things will smooth out.
In my 72 years I have learned one important life’s lesson. Be careful where you stick your snout,
Just remember this Season as a lesson, Even the most experienced can make the worst of mistakes! I hope the best for the rest of your harvest!!
Ps you can use Ric Flairs theme song royalty free for your intro, you just can’t have the “WOO” in it lol
Great video . Thank you so much
Into each life a little rain must fall. That's how we learn and grow. lol
That grain kart driver did it again 😂
Shit happens! Its only $! Hopefully things will get better. Great video!
Good video,, things happen 👍👍👍
Demolition derby combine. Damn. At least you didn’t hit a bridge.
Hearing more & more about short stature corn, not something we’d try for silage but for guys growing corn it sounds like it’s worth looking into especially if you have lodging issues.
LOL we all have/had those days. This time next year youll shake your head and chuckle. As for the "test" strip from setting up the combine...at least its not by the roa....oh nevermind lol.

I have a feeling that corn head will be hanging unto that unique appearance for a little while ....
6:53 when you and your work buddy convince your boss everything is a two man job 😂
Had to replace two on our last 80 of corn this year. Working words by brown farms strikes again
great video
I feel your pain! Been there🤪
Never say I couldn’t feel any more stupid! Someone will take it as a challenge and screw with you even more! You’re doing great! Life is just that way some times. Ask BJ to give you a hug!
That's farming. Can't believe the price of those snouts. Hoping for a better day tomorrow as I am sure you are too. Thanks for the real-life video. Surprised me to learn that farmers swear sometimes. Who woulda thought?
Bob the squirrel at his age awsome
Another thing we used to adjust shoots up so when on the ground, they would run nearly level, point would float over, not dig in....
I feel your pain. We’re having a terrible season in the UK but as long as the sun rises tomorrow Bryan, we’ll keep going and get her done! You got this 👍
Down corn tip: get a tiger torch, flame the plastic snouts…..meaning put heat to the surface just enough to make it shine. That makes it slick. THEN, armor all them good. Those two things will help the stalks slide.
That's what you guys get for blaming the grain cart driver.
💯 his fault
Brian. There is always labor. Just which accounting bucket is coming from.
If the snouts are not row specific. Place adjacent to the folding or the reels. Make it seem to have a purpose.
Don’t feel bad everyone who has done down corn has messed up a snout. If you haven’t they need to thank the farming gods.
There are days when the pessimist's motto kicks in: "Life sucks then you die". Been there, that's when you take one step at a time and just keep moving. As to the auger shaft , a tip I learned way back when is to take a rattle can and coat the exposed portions of the shaft. It is a lot easier to emery cloth the paint off later then deal with the rust.
Stuff happens !😊
It's BJ's turn now.
Let's hope it doesn't go in three's like my Grandma used to say.

There I am, watching along and my mind started to wonder about the yield on that down corn ...
And just like that, rapido presto, Brian started to update us on the yield of that field ...
Good video
I know your feeling....the harvest season is hard on us too....sometine i told myselft im too dumb to farm....
If Ya'll don't quit tearing up that new combine, you'l have to postpone planting next spring!! 🤣🤣🤣
Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and it will all be fine.
Good morning
Morning
Hopefully this cold front will keep the rain away for a week or 2 so we can get something done
Well you broke something, your Dad broke something, so now BJ is next! That sucks, costs a lot of money!!!! Hopefully you have some better luck!!
Yes them ear savers slow down the stalks on down corn, we took them off ours like 3rd year and never put back on
@ChetLarson, you got company!
I fully understand the labor issue with one big machine but now it's looking like a back up would be nice
I was thinking the same thing, but didn’t want to pile on
That wall of shame is really gonna get full at this rate
Along with you I was concerned someone would get hurt replacing that dryer auger.
Sorry for your less than ideal experiences.
My heritage includes SMALL family farming and some days were not pleasant
A little early for Christmas decorations Brain. Your combine looks like rudolph guiding Bobs sleigh. BJs fault. Be safe👍👍
Dealing with down corn is miserable to say the least. Unfortunately it can also be a major safety hazard dealing with plugging issues. Hope things go along better...bummer to have breakdowns on new machinery, but it is what it is.
Its the gray combine, bad luck. Should have went with the big yellow one
Big Green or Red 1 😂
Keyboard cowboy bonus free advice is never seeze on that shaft and associated components.
Mornin
Well for those people who are saying your dad should retire just need to mind their own business your dad doesn't great job very knowledgeable and so do you accidents happen that's just part of life it's unfortunate but it is part of life
In regards to replacing the bearing on the auger. Turning a 15-minute job into a 15-hour job is common in farming and construction.
Custom snouts now custom paint
Brian, don't be so hard on yourself, be more positive. Negative video doesn't make better.
Get kids out there too see who can find the most cobs laying in field, good way to earn allowance
Sh.. happens. Yall keep your head up.
Hum, ya know that don’t make Bob feel any better, but he certainly understands. I guess the answer is, Just Fix the SOB.
Not sure how easy it would be, what if you moved the two red snouts where the row feelers are located? Just a suggestion. 🤷🏻♂️
Is your Gleaner trade in still on the market? Go buy it back, acquire an 8 row Massey red corn non folding head , Keep on moving, slow and steady , the Gleaner will shell that 8 rows of dry corn just fine.
I have heard of people using a Draper head on down corn but I’ve never seen it done in person
If you don't break anything, odds are your not doing anything!!! Years ago when farmers cultivated, helped a lot with down corn, dirt thrown up to the corn left a " ditch" between rows, snoots rode in the ditch
Don’t be mad at yourself because shit happens!! That’s why them snout are bolted on so you can replace them. ( just blame it on your brother ) if he was a good cart guy he would have told you about the rise in the field. Lmao 🤣
Just like I said about your dad crumpling up the grain tank extensions. That's what you get for being human. Happens to everybody unless you're somebody that does nothing. So don't beat yourself up for being human.
Boom attachment for your jbc
Hi Brian. Can you harvest down corn with a bean header?
It's a corn header fashion statement.......
🤬🤬🤬🤬 Happens!!!!!
I would just put one red snout toward the outside on each side!
You should use anti-seize on your shafts after you sanded them. Makes it easier for the next fool to change it out.
It's ok Brian we all know ol man kicked you out the combine for your F up we all got dads we all been there 🤣🤣
Really to trade two working combines off on a new million dollar combine is paying off
Sounds crazy but....put the bean head on and combine downed corn
Oh Man , shine it up and never seize the shaft
shits happen man! Stay positive its just plastic and metal you are still in 1 pice!
Why not weld in a bar a bit lower and then cut the top one and make it a removable bar so it makes it easier to remove and install the auger pipe.
lol we have had red snouts on our green head before…..lol do what you gotta do….
👍
don't sweat it. this will probably buff out. LOL
