Really? I always thought he would be the perfect Riddler, like ever since Dark Knight Rises days. I think his performances in There Will Be Blood and 12 Years a Slave kinda sold me on him for that kinda role, even in Prisoners where he felt like such an uneasy character that had something to hide.
I went into The Batman almost fully expecting that he was gonna get layed out by Batman only to find out it was one of the few roles where he doesn't get beat up, surprisingly.

Paul Dano is one of the Most Underrated actors in the Industry he has been in great Movie but the Actors Opposite to him always steal the Spotlight...he is in my opinion the best supporting actor.... And it is good to see him get recognition now
@@evancain4906 I would. I honestly didn’t much like heaths performance in comparison to jouaquin Phoenix. I don’t think it’s bad or anything, just not my preference as I think more credit should go towards the writing of the character and the lines instead since Heath had relied greatly on method acting during his performance. I still believed that Heath ledger was an incredible actor, but I think he had given better raw performances before playing the joker, and that he should be remembered for that, not the role that killed him. That’s just my perspective in the matter

Also His performance was largely of his design, he took the written page and made it his own. It is Heath's Joker.
