Short answer, no. Long answer, It look like it uses in game currency, which in Lego games are plentiful, and don’t have a option to pay real money to get them. The only thing you have to pay real money for is if you want the DLC

but in this scenario since it's a super hero game they made it where you can buy limited bags with your studs to get random characters
