I have that system in my yard. Problem is one of the valves was leaking very slightly so guess what huge water bill. Got the caps for the valves and replaced them. Is that the usual problem that the cover (the side you took off) is what leaks or is it the solenoid side that leaks. Just don't want another huge water bill. I have been manually opening the system to water. Thanks for any advice
Hi Johnny. This could be due to a couple of reasons. High pressure. water hammer, faulty valve, etc. Give us a call and we'd be happy to chat with you.
You would normally run irrigation wire from your controller to the anti siphon valve, using waterproof wire connectors to connect the solenoid wires to the irrigation wire.
During the winterization of the system, the blow-out port should be before the valve or after the valve?
It should before your valves, to ensure no water is trapped in the valve or it will expand and crack the plastic.

Most commonly there is debris in the valve which causes the diaphragm not to close all the way. Glad you were able to get it fixed!
How to remove and replace solenoid coil of PGV-ASV-101?
It unscrews. Very simple. Disconnect the wires and then you can easily remove it.
OMG... I was shocked to notice that my Hunter PGV-ASV Anti-Siphon Valve was massively back flowing ??? How can this be fixed ?
