I am never in awe of anyone much less actors these days but .... I am so in awe of this actors devotion to his craft, his stamina. For all of the interviews, his probative thoughts and his verbal illustrations of his thoughts. Just had to get this out of my gut.
I was most impressed with Colin among all actors involved with Mamma Mia the movies. To be honest, I did not warm up to “Our Last Summer” until I heard his version. Surprising but true.
I love Colin Firth. It’s so nice to see him and hear him talk. Also, my grandparents lived in rural Sweden where Benny Andersson was part of the local folk music community that would play during the midsummer dancing around the pole. Not quite the iconic status but folksy. Oddly, now that I’m writing this I remember that only half a year ago I went to Stockholm for two days. In that time I almost literally ran into Benny. A guy was walking beside me down a street and it was him. Speaking of musical theatre: The best musical theatre I’ve seen was about William Shakespeare. “I, William.” I saw it twice, it was so good.
The main and great point he made was: all the stuff he heard in his youth is gone, but ABBA is still here. Exactly. The best music group ever. The REAL Fab Four.
In the past I Experienced very difficult period in my life... My friend suggested the cinema... We have gone on "Mamma mia", because I always liked the music of ABBA.. This movie was so optimistic, full of Joy and Energy, VERY good music, that I forgot about my problems... Thank you! 😊😁😄
I like Colin Firth - sexy, talented and actually thought this song was not good AND this doesnt distract from the FUN and Fabulous 'story and so well cast movie. The location was stunning and of course Abba's 'Presence ' was Brilliant ! for me this movie is Timeless :-)
I could watch this man talking for my whole life... 😍

They knew from his melodic speaking voice that he would live up to his musical heritage! It's all there! 😁
Such a gentle gentleman. Absolutely gorgeous! Xx

A riveting interview with an excellent actor.
One of my favorites. I always try to see every movie he's made.
I love his song -- it's actually the one that sticks with me from the movie, and his voice is perfect for it.

He was in The Importance of being Ernest, he sang beautifully in that, perhaps that was why he was cast without worry.
Interesting response to the musical needs of a role. informative!,!! Thanks

Who is the interviewer? Is it a famous Swedish interviewer?
You are probably right because the interview was made after the Stockholm premiere :)
The interviewer definitely has a Swedish accent when talking in English.
@@ColinTheFirth May you don't care but I always like you
Hablar enEspaño
Well he can sing better than Pierce Brosnan
Oh him in a shower 😮
Why can't a guy like ABBA? What many other things aren't guys supposed to do or like? Absurd!
