another thing about this set: there are 2 variants in wheel colour: silver and bronze gold. you have the silver, i got the bronze. i don’t know what the difference is but it’s there
I wasnt going to pay so much for a hotwheels, but I have always wanted a truck carrier and this one looks good! and its less than the $300 ones out there..
What in the name of scalpers are you seeing out there, mini gt trucks are like $80-100, gcd timemicro or any other Chinese good brands are about $50-60.
Sold out without 1 hr.. you can probably find it at triple the price on ebay, but I would never support scalpers. There’s a scania coming up next year tho.
@@AmB39 probably not, but mattel always has about 3 resales per year with old stock that they find in their storages (this has a specific name, but I forgot what it is).. so it might always come back in a limited amount.. I’d say your 2nd best chance is to give it 4-6 months for the price to go down on ebay, once the hype dissipates and you’ll end up grabbing at lower prices..
@@AmB39 I’ll try and be short with this 😅.. mattel’s strategy in two words is *Scarcity* *Marketing* . The less they make the more collectible they are. And in an age where everyone is slowly beating them at details, accuracy and quality over price (mini gt, kaido, tarmac, etc). It will kill their brand if they redo more than they originally made (if that makes sense). They make that money back with endless recolours and they have the unethical benefit of you trying to fight scalpers over every release because of fomo. Although elite64 is the only sub-brand that doesn’t have recolours so far, only unique releases. I’m hoping this was so popular that they’ll eventually recolour it.

I paid about $45 with shipping. And, surprise, it came with plain chrome wheels.
Would you say that the truck is a smaller scale than the typical Hot Wheels car?
