Walking on Water in Mega Man 5 - A Wild Glitch Appears!

- In Mega Man 5 for the NES, there's a way to jump over the Jet Ski in Wave Man's level so that you can execute the "auto-scrolling" section of his level on foot. Normally, you're forced to use the Jet Ski, but with this trick, Mega Man can basically walk on water when he's not supposed it.
Essentially all you need to do to perform this glitch is rapidly shoot three Super Arrows just before the area where the level would normally automatically walk Mega Man into the Jet Ski. If you slide along the Super Arrows and jump just right, you can pass into the next screen, and you'll have full control of Mega Man as he walks along the surface of the water.
Performing this glitch incorrectly can still have some fun results. For example if you jump over the Jet Ski but land in the water before scrolling to the next screen, you will lose control of Mega Man and he will automatically run and jump off screen.
Furthermore, if you perform the glitch properly but walk off the screen at any point, Mega Man will disappear, and you might be stuck out of bounds. However, sometimes you can still advance to the next areas of the level while out of bounds, and I was even able to reach the boss room while out of bounds to the left of the visible area. After doing this, Wave Man jumped through the boss doors on the left and just kinda vanished.

I just pulled this off and it felt so cool! Seeing Wave Man jump into the void was really funny. It should be noted that if you're a little bit off on your position, the cutscene will still play after scrolling the screen and Mega Man will automatically run and leap off-screen. So... Watch out for that, I guess.

Surprised I missed this vid...I adore the music in mm5 probably the most. I'm not sure I love the music in all of them though. And this glitch is awesome I can't wait to try it.
