Blind boxes are marketing genius, but as a parent I cannot tell you the number of times I've had to deal with sobbing children that just spent their hard earned allowance (even though they were warned it could happen) on multiple duplicates . God I hate those things and am glad they were not as prevalent when I was a kid in the 80's. I guess you have to live and learn the hard way some times.
I got 2 randoms thay were darth maul and his speeder bike the round one and mando with a swoop bike and there very small decent detail and some model kit scales thay may work out to there size
I just open them in the store and buy the ones I want.

@@goatintuxedo2206that’s me. I only ever bought 2 blind boxes and got not one but TWO Cobb Vanth lmao. You’d think I’d be happy and I am somewhat, but I mainly got them to fill in my LAAT with a clone or scout trooper.

These blind boxes are quite cool actually. Great way to get nearly Action Fleet scale figures.
I am definitely picking this line up! I also seen a sneak peek at the second wave which I will invest in too. I hope for the third wave we get a Y-Wing and the new X-Wings too. Thank you for the updates!👍

@@Dan-O l seen it. I love the scale of this line which I believe is HO Scale. The scale is in between the Action Fleet and the Micro Machines lines. I cannot wait for the release!🙂

These are so perfect for running Star Wars RPGs! There have been many occasions where I have the players meeting outside a cantina or engaging in a speederbike chase, and these would be super handy as both filler for a parking lot and as rides for the PCs and whoever is chasing them! I'd probably want to repaint some of them so it's not just a lineup of all the same colors for one make and model of speederbike, but that's no issue (there are tricks to getting paint to stick to rubbery plastic).
what are these tricks per se?
@@Razgriz911 First, lightly sand the surface to give the paint some "tooth" to grip to. Don't use anything more than 500 grit, because you don't want deep scratches, you just want to rough up the surface. Brush on some primer, then brush on the paint colors you want to use, and then give it a clear varnish. Use lacquer or enamel paint, because they have a chemical etchant in them that will slightly "melt" most plastics and bond with the surface. Acrylic paint will just flake off. Then after you're done painting and the paint is dry to the touch, put the model in a "hot box", made from a cardboard box and a hairdryer stuck into the side. Turn the hair dryer on low speed and medium heat, set the model inside, and then loosely drape a towel over the box with the corner exposed so air can escape. Leave the model in the box for at least thirty minutes to an hour and check occasionally to make sure it's not deforming. If it begins to deform, take it out, straighten the parts and dunk them in cold water immediately to set them.
And there not pricey and come decently detailed and painted if thay had packs of trops and random folks id make the cantina set for fun :)
I still have my 90s Micro machines and nothing beats them.

It is a lot for a little… but that sort of jives with everything in the world right now. Our money is just worth less and less. 😔

$1.25 can get a decent 3.75 inch action figure at Dollar Tree so $7 for this tiny thing aint worth it

This is exactly why I hate blind boxes. You buy a whole case and don't get any chase versions. These aren't $1 card packs. At $7 a pop, it's absurd to try to find the one you really want.

This makes the second case opening I've seen and there appears to be a reoccurring theme with no chases.
I think there are 3-4 case assortments. I watched an unboxing yesterday with Cobb vanth and IG-11 in it. No super rare chase though

I was not expecting them to be that small but might be worth the pickup if I see them in store I am thinking that maybe the scout/clone trooper might be the common ones and thanks for the review

I found fresh cases at a target and bought 3 boxes. Im not a fan of blind boxes but I picked from different spots in the cases. Ended up with 2 mauls and a cobb. I like the main ships but these aren't worth the money to me to keep buying. It'd be a stretch even if I knew what I was getting at the price, but the blind aspect makes these a no go for me going forward. I was happy to get cobb though!

Man I just bought my first ever 2 blind boxes from Amazon today (comes with tie fighter and AT-ST) and BOTH were Cobb Vanth! What’s hilarious was I actually wanted a clone or scout trooper at least to fill in my LAAT lol. I feel both lucky and unlucky at the same time.

They are pretty cool…I think many vehicles could go w the action fleet if you have a good collection of them
Nice vid Dan-O. I got three boxes for myself and quite happy with my haul. I got Mando's speeder, AT-RT and Imperial speederbike.
They were at least a couple dozen mystery boxes left after Christmas at a local pharmacy so they put them on sale for $3 and got 6 of them , a week later there were on sale for $1.10 so I bought the rest . 😍😍😍😍💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Cool they had a Darth Maul in the first wave. Out of 12, only 2 darth mauls to find per case it seems in this round. These blind boxes are designed to keep people buying to get the one they're looking for.
The flat square an the stand is so you can display the figure standing next to the vehicle I prefer to do it that way

For $7 I don't think they are worth it. Also the mystery box crap makes you rebuy the same one to get the one you want. I remember back in the day you for 3 or 4 micro machines for a better deal.

So I saw these at target like 2 weeks ago and I decided I would grab two and see what I'd get. I really wanted Darth Maul and Mando... but instead I got the IG-11 chase and the Cobb Vanth Chase. it was a brand new box and I grabbed the two in the top middle section. Not sure how rare they are but I was kind stoked at the luck I had.
A clone army is acceptable.

I think I pulled the exact same spread. Maybe that’s their ratio for the cases.
I’m hearing that cases seem to be repeating. I got one of the worst assortments. But the cases that had Cobb vanth and ig-11 were the exact same assortment. Weird.

Just opened a fresh box from walmart. No rares or chases. Only one Ahsoka too. 3 mandos, 3 clone troopers, 3 scout troppers. 2 mauls.
I guess it really is a luck of the draw.

These were found near the normal Star Wars section but they didn’t have a set place for them yet. It’s still early

I found mine at a Wal-mart and today i found 4 left in a case at Target But I've been to like 11 different walmarts and 8 different targets over the past week...

12 boxes with absolutely horrible ratio. You spent around $84 and didn't even get a rare one. I understand it's for kids but how many kids will spend 100+ to potentially get all of them?
It should be like the lego blind bags, every box has 2 of each figure therefore you will have all figures if you buy a box.

just look at the differences between this clone walker AT-RT whatever, vs the 13$ Microgalaxy AT-ST.. I'd definitely choose the second one.

@@Dan-O right, but sometimes in licensing agreements other companies cant make similar products. That is why star wars and marvel funko pops are bobble heads. So it looks like the hot wheels ships at least the speeder bikes and mando on bike are very similar, so may not be able to make them any more.
The blind box concept is a total scam. Companies who do this suck.
I want maul, ashoka, Cobb and Mando. I'm seriously not a fan of this blind box gimmick.
These blind boxes are a terrible idea. I’d be so pissed if I paid and got duplicates. I’d return them immediately and get my money back. They are going to get bombed with returns. I have worked retail and open-box returns get RTW’d and sent back to the vendor for account credit.
Those are very underwhelming. I’m glad I didn’t buy one when it rang up for $7. $3-5 tops. Maybe I’ll buy one or two of the bigger ships to replace some of my micro machine ships I used to have as a kid.
What is the point of this toy line it's pot luck waste of money if you want duplicates buy action figures so you can see what you are getting
