The rear camera on my phone does not work when in 1x zoom. If I put it on 2x zoom still not working . Camera works fine in “selfie” mode but does not work in rear camera mode. If another app that uses camera is opened, the camera is still black and unable to use. (ie Snapchat).Please any idea on that.

what if the pads is not rip off can I use jumper or that pad? or should I need to find the specific component and solder to that pad?

My issue is similar but my cameras work on normal apps just not the camera app, anything me got any ideas, I've tried every thing software related
I have the tenth iPhone and the rear camera does not work. It gives out a white screen, but in portrait mode it works and the front camera also works, the flashlight is in order.

Hi REWA team. I have an iPhone X with some rear camera issue. Sometimes the camera work fine, sometime it will be blank (black screen). The front facing camera and face ID are all working well. I have also updated to ios 15 but the problem persist. May I know the root cause and what is the your recommended repair method? Will changing the camera module fix it?

How did u know that the problems with taking a picture was a board problem not a module????
So i bought two refurbished iPhone X. One had the black camera issues ("software issue") and carrier lock, but was in a very good condition and the other was fully functional but all shattered.
My plan was to swap the boards and have a perfect iPhone X.
When i swapped the boards i found out that the black cameras would still to not work on the new board (with no software issue) so i thought probably the cameras were bad and swapped the cameras too, just to find out again that the new cameras were not working either.
I got curious and connected the carrier locked board enough to test (with the "bad cameras" Now in the shattered housing) and the cameras worked fine.
So all cameras are good and no software is causing the problem. The issue only occurs in the good housing.
What im saying is that the black camera issue seems to be caused by one of the components left on the good housing (battery, charging dock or flexes) isnt that crazy?

My iphone Xs Max after updating to ios14.5.1 had this problem the front and back camera and flashlight is not working anymore. Run a diagnostic test thru apple support and found my camera failed on the test.
So is it possible this is a motherboard hardware problem on the rear camera too just like in the video?

How about if my rear camera is Ok but front camera was green screen
Then just try a different rear camera module from another iphone X (buy a used one pulled from an iphone X but make sure it is AUTHENTIC only NOT aftermarket. I know it may seem weird that I am recommending you first try the component that you are not having issues with, however many people even have face ID issues due to faulty primary/do module camera especially if you see a green screen that would be my hunch. If that does not fix it definitely change the earpiece speaker assembly that's actually attached to the screen itself. You unfortunately might lose your face feature this way BUT if this does fix the issue then you can almost be certain that it is your face ID unit that is the cul[rit. You know the one thats IN the housing itself stull facing up with like two main lenses one on each side sand it has the dot projector and etc and like 3 ribbon Cables that run underneath the top right corner of the battery for a little while in prior to where they connect back into the motherboard. Casita 99% isopropyl alcohol for a day and then let it dry for at least half an hour or an hour and popped it back in and then let me know if anything changes. But this would be your best course of action in my opinion👍🏽 And remember, make sure you disconnect doing all of this as soon as you can get to it only reconnected after you're finished with everything or you afraid your motherboard. Do not work with any of the connectors while your batteries connected, EVER! and ONLY use plastic spudgers, wedges, NEVER metal. Let me know how it goes.. I'm actually very curious myself, though I currently do not have this issue:) Good luck!!!

@LukaasMarx the wire circuit in the mother board probably weared out. they can fix it with those silver wire and some heat gun.
