Spidey, I have a question about Induction. I watched it multiple times after getting it a couple of weeks ago and I am super happy with it but I feel as though there is one question left unanswered. Does it work on people who's mother tongue language isn't English? Thanks if you respond and I love your stuff, keep up the good works!
@@dh6473 it absolutely works as long as they understand english enough to know what you are saying. If not, you can translate the script as long as you remember the important elements
Hey Spidey, thanks for the great list. I have added some notes to the list you gave me answering my questions on your last video. I feel like mentalism is a better stylistic match for me and who knows, maybe I can eventually hypnotize my kids to clean up or even go to bed on time some day.
Thank you for the list of books. I love reading and learning, I've picked up some books recommended by Chris Ramsay. Even though I've seen done tutorials, reading it gives a different perspective and makes you work for, which at the end is more rewarding. I wish i would have been more serious about learning magic when i was younger. I'm married, have kids and work so it's taking a bit longer, but... It gives me a super power with the people that matters most. Thank you Spidey for being such an engaging teacher.
Lovely video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Rozardner Secret Weapon Reality (do a search on google)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for mastering spoon bending without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got amazing success with it.
Thank you Spidey. I'M putting together a small stage show and this will help. I mostly do comedy magic like wes Barker, but always looking for new stuff. I love your passion for mentalism. Sweet vid.
Both Practical Mental Effects, 13 steps to Mentalism, and the Banachek series are my next stops for magic books. Unreal looked pretty interesting too, I'm gonna search for it. Heck, I'm gonna try to get a hold of all of them if I can haha
Spidey is back! Thank you so much for doing this video dude. I know we had a little discussion about books so this means a LOT. Bc I do basically 80%/20% closeup to mentalism (just like ground beef 80/20), and bc I still do street bc I love it, I’ve found Christopher Harris’ “The Hypnotist and the Magician: A Guide to Street Hypnosis and Mentalism” to be like a Mentalism 101 book and a guide for street performers, party/wedding performers, etc. If you ever come across it, let me know what you think. Who knows. Maybe after I read the other books on this list (aside from Prism which I just got like a week or two ago) I’ll want to set fire to it. At the moment I can say it has really helped my mentalism esp in the beginning. This video means so much to me and I’m sure every magician on your channel. Michael Vincent made a video on his favorite books of all time and now along with this and the books I already own, I have probably a decade’s worth of magic just from two videos. And I’m sure you can attest to this Spidey - the REALLY good stuff, the gems, come from books with the rare exception of maybe a half a dozen UA-cam channels (yours, Pandrea’s, Ramsey’s, Spade’s, 52Kards, Fernando of Artzone, and Shin’s tutorials on DVD or download like Shinanigens, 21, Extended Play, etc and not just the two main acts - which are obviously brilliant). I hope ppl realize how big of a Gem this video is! Keep on doing your thing Spidey! Thanks again👍🏻
Hubert de Guerlas I love this show so can you please tell me Tommy talk to me I’m glad the phone if you don’t talk to me in my life please talk to me please
love your book collection but correct me if i'm wrong but your palm reading effect is also listed in 13 steps to mentalism and discussed by richard osterlind .. am i right spidey ?
@@SpideyHypnosisspidey these are mentalism do u also use psychology in mentalism . and should i buy psychological subtletes along with practical mental effects
Great stuff as always *Spidey* I use different gimmicks in with slight of hand in my close up magic. My question would be, what is your favorite gimmick or one you might use in your mentalism act?
if you asked me this 8 years ago I would have said the Swami Gimmick, I used to love that thing. but now it's my Akkelian Envelopes. I just love those things plus I feel proud when I use them lol
Excellent book list, Spidey. For those interested in getting Bruce Bernstein's "Unreal," try contacting Bruce directly (brucebernstein.com). As of April 2020, he still had some copies available for $75 plus shipping.
Is the „Practical Mental Effects” by Theodore Annemannn the same thing as „Practical Mental Magic” by Theodore Annemann?Because I found this two books and the title is almoast identical but in diferent cover and now Im a bit confused.
YO! Told you guys I care about your questions! Have you read any of these? Which one is your favourite? Any other questions? 30 minutes starts NOW!
