Great movie with a great cast. Only niggle was Susan Hayward's accent -- she pretty well. Tyrone Power was excellent as always. One of the better Westerns out there. Highly recommend. 👍👍
The Child Should Of Gotten Along With Susan Hayward, An Oscar. Tyrone Powers, Best Supporting Actor. Great Western Movie With The Story Of Stage Coaches.
Really enjoyed this western. I liked all the actors in this film. Jack Elam was always perfect for playing the nasty one. He sure had the looks and the voice to go along with playing those characters.
That was a TV series that ran alongside the others during the time. Bonanza, Palidan (have gun will travel) and such. By the late 60s consumer tastes were changing. So, lot goofier stuff was coming on. Matt Helm, Jerry Lewis etcet'.
Watched it on tv back in the 70s. Never forgot it. One of those half-forgotten gems. Dont mind the somewhat silly beginning with that over the top rousing-roaring music.
No wonder Ty wanted out from under FOX's thumb, having to make movies like this. But I still greatly appreciate your channel and getting the opportunity to see the old movies
@kanikileprohi8924 I would have loved to party with Elam, cocaine, some high-end whores, and a bunch of out of work dwarfs, extras from the Wizard of Oz!
This has nothing to do with THE HATEFUL EIGHT despite perhaps the number of cast numbers. I actually prefer this one if such comparisons are necessary. True that Hathaway was no Tarantino but despite a couple of moments THE HATEFUL EIGHT does not measure up well, IMO, with other great Tarantino films.
Do not advertise this movie mentioning it as an inspiration for Tarantino's Hateful Eight. His is dreadful, awful. This is a great movie, excellent cast, not only Tyrone Power and Hayward, the guy who played Zimmerman was top class (incredible voice), Hugh Marlowe. And Jack Elam needs no introduction, always the great outlaw. Thank you.
I remember watching this when I was a kid. It's not nearly as good as I remember. Susan Hayward saying the line, "Jibber-Jabber!" was so FAKE! But it was a terrible line to begin with, so I have to give her credit for surviving this turkey. Tyrone Power fares better. But no man with a six gun on his hip would let ANYONE draw it from its holster without a fight much less give that person the gunbelt along with it! What a load of crap. What was Henry Hathaway smoking when he directed this? I'm turning it off.
How does Susan Hayward manage to keep dirt and dust off of herself through the whole ordeal. Oh well, it works for me. I like Jack Elam's theatrical death, the way Dan Duryea died in "Incident at Phantom Hill" (1966).
Not exactly Shakespeare. The author used tension like someone with almost dead taste buds uses cayenne to season a stew. There was little to no rhetoric of any depth. The character study was nil to none, and it ended without any real conclusion, just a dead stop. I am sure there were a few virtues to it, but it sure missed me. I had to watch it in 3 parts there was so much tension, but I finally hacked through it in three days. Just awful.
Awesome movie, they don’t make them like these like they used to, great story, great actors/actresses, Tyrone Power marvelous actor, Susan Hayward a very beautiful, feisty and a great actress and character in this….a must see film, love it …HIGH 5….👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰
Fantastic movie. Jack Elam it the best bad guy in the west! I'm a die hard old western movie fan and this one is top notch.
Glad you like it. Welcome.
Excellent Western with great actors . Susan Hayward was always great . Tyrone Powers died at 44 years of age . These were the days of great acting .

Great movie with a great cast. Only niggle was Susan Hayward's accent -- she pretty well. Tyrone Power was excellent as always. One of the better Westerns out there. Highly recommend. 👍👍

Great Western Movie With The Story Of Stage Coaches.
Ha! Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
The lieutenant is played by Kenneth Tobey, who starred in the classic, 'The Thing from Another World'.
Really enjoyed this western. I liked all the actors in this film. Jack Elam was always perfect for playing the nasty one. He sure had the looks and the voice to go along with playing those characters.
Thoroughly enjoyed!!.. Thank You to all involved!!.. Kevin.. 🙂
I definitely thoroughly enjoyed it. 64 years old and first time I’ve seen it
Glad you enjoyed it. Welcome.
Ahhh another western masterpiece. There was another Raw Hide that premiered in the late 50s starring Clibt Eastwood.🤠
That was a TV series that ran alongside the others during the time.
Bonanza, Palidan (have gun will travel) and such.

Fond memories. Thanks for the visit!
Quite rare for a western to stick to one story in one location... It was keeping us on the edge ... Good one.
Glad you enjoyed it
Can't believe I've never seen this movie looks good and I've been watching westerns since the 50s
I first watched it on NBC's Saturday Night at the Movies in the early 60s. It finally came out on DVD several years ago.
Thanks for watching.
Man I could taste the sand and grit of that desert? As good as they come . . .

Roger that. Thanks for watching.

Uncle Joe from Petticoat Junction, Mr Kravitz from Bewitched and the General from White Christmas. Wow!
Solid Western. The print is sharp in some scenes, a little muddy in others.
Good movie! Enjoy. Not your typical western..
Roger that. Welcome.
beautiful movie.Thank you so much for upload.
Glad you like it. Welcome.
Very enjoyable Western.

Un excellent western bien troussé
Get Me...Jack Elam !!!!
Lazy eye is a very good "bad" guy.
@kanikileprohi8924 I would have loved to party with Elam, cocaine, some high-end whores, and a bunch of out of work dwarfs, extras from the Wizard of Oz!
Jack Elam, I've seen him in so many westerns. He always plays a baddie.
@@IanCross-xj2gj I have seen him play comedy roles in later movies. His face lent itself to play villain and goofball.
Jack Elam appears in "High Lonesome" (1950), and I posted it here: ua-cam.com/video/KOzfmQF4dd4/v-deo.html
Jake Elam sure was a good actor....but his specialty was a crazy bastard...😮.
Roger that. Thanks for the visit!
Thank you.
Terrific film
Roger that. Thanks for watching.
And thus 15:56 the world got its first look at the amazing mug of the greatest character actor of all time.

Glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
San Francisco to St. Louis for $200 dollars gold-i give my back teeth for that ride. 2:10
the strict discipline the outlaws kept over Tyrone Power's and
Susan Hayward's characters, that seemed indominable, unraveled at the end
Jack Elm plays a great bad guy.
Roger that. Thanks for the visit!
And Jack Elam!
Roger that. Welcome.
Great movie.❤❤. Thank you for sharing it.
The baby was the best actor

I counted 9 shots from Power's six gun.
Just details
It's the extended mag version 😅
...6 upside down is 9.Were you standing on your head watching the movie ?...
Yeah, I noticed that as well and other western movies they shoot more than 6 times from a six shooter.

Quentin borrowed from The Rebel, a TV show with Nick Adams, for Hateful 8.
Possibly the classic Western TV shows like "Bonanza," "The Virginian," and "The High Chaparral".
Tyron couldn't dig through an adobe wall in one night
This movie is hilarious so far
👍
Nice movie.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
The Mexican is the spitting image of the Mexican in the eight. 😅

Jack Elam best cowboy after John Wayne , Clint Eastwood.

Towards the end I was rooting for Jack Elam...Susan Hayward was just that annoying.
