How did you get on with moving your rhubarb we moved several large crowns and we got a small rhubarb crop this year but they moved very well and look healthy . The wet spring and summer probably helped
We take the forcer off after the first harvest to let the plant get some light and feed itself. Forcing it again may weaken the crown . The weather by mid April is sunny and warm in UK and it can get too hot under the forcer so the rhubarb can go bad or potentially die . We only force them from March through to mid April most years unless it’s a very late spring .
This is the best video on the subject I have found. Thanks for your time to make it.
Thank you glad you found it helpful
great video. thank you very much
You’re very welcome
I’m trying next spring do u recommend bringing in heated garage…. Another handy cover would be a composting bin subsidised by council
we always leave ours outside as they are planted in ground. Not sure how well they would grow indoors
@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 thank you I have to move one might put in a pot and leave out my raised bed needs watering any way

After the first harvest, can I put the forcer back on, or let it grow without it?
