Hey, Sehar. If you are able to write two paragraphs that suitably compare then you should be on track for half marks. If you can write more than this and include multiple examples of clear but related comparison (e.g. theme) then you open up the chances to a higher grade. It isn't about the quantity ( the NUMBER of PEEL paragraphs) but the QUALITY.
@@AnthonyWharmbyGCSE I'm only going to write 2 good deep analysis within 30 mins. This works best for me! Question 2 and 4 are quite simmiler, so I would do 2 for question 2 and 4!
@@Seharkhan69 they are similar in that both require you to look at both texts. Question 4 is more like Question 2+3 slammed together. Notice a similarity or difference of idea, analyse and then comment on how each writer conveys their point in a different way. You can do this in 2 paragraphs on Q4 but they will be very chunky compared to a Q2 paragraph.
@@AnthonyWharmbyGCSE I normally proportion out with marks with analysis. This way it's easier to know how many analysis's I need to write. For example: Paper 2 question 4. One PEEEEEL Analysis will equal 8 marks for 16 marks I would only think write 2. There is a lot more work to put into paper 2 question 4. For question 3 I would do 3 which I proportion out 1 to be 4 marks. Paper 2 question 2. Doing 2 which is half the amount of work from question 4 will be enough for 8 marks. After this, I would leave it for the examiner to justify the credits. Getting 4/8 on paper 2 q2, and 8 on paper 2 q4 will get you a grade 4. Over the years, it has always been closer or 50% exactly to get a grade 4. I'm not going to stress or rush, I will the proportion amount of analysis within the time frame to the level I can manage. I'm happy whatever grade the examiner gives me however, I'm aiming for a 5. My target grade was 5 for maths but I came out with a 4 which I was still happy to move onto the next level.
@@AnthonyWharmbyGCSE Do you have to track and find every example like you would do for the structure question for paper 1 question 3, or could I just read and skim through the whole text and just pick out 4 quotes from each to write 2 paragraphs?
