U are right. Congrats to her but it's life she finds it hard to mention Jesus to the world any time she is being interviewed. That's strange, she never mentioned the name of Jesus once in this interview... If I were an atheist listening to this interview, I wouldn't think to call her a Christian. What did she specifically say that would lead people to Christ? Yeah, she said GOD once, but there are many forms of gods all throughout history who were worshiped by different groups of people, so which one was she referencing? It's so sad how someone with such a grand platform and fan base really doesn't give credit where credit is due. It wouldn't hurt to hear it come out of her mouth once in a while who Jesus is to her and what the gospel is. She just came out and said she doesn't want to be labeled as a "Christian artist". Her songs have a positive message, but the name of Jesus is said maybe 5 times in all the songs she sings, not counting her Christmas album, which is really sad coming from a "Christian" if she is one. Don't be deceived by emotions, even Lucifer has ministers who are transformed into ministers of righteousness.

Hey JD, this is the Emmy Awards, not the Dove Awards. Need I say more? How about a plumber, should he (or she) state that they are Christian when snaking out your plumbing? Or a car mechanic tell you that he is Christian before changing your oil. This is ridiculous if you take it to it's logical conclusion.

She is a lovely human being. "You say" lights the darkness in so many of our lives. I feel so good after hearing it.
It’s funny how Christians are cool with other Christians in professions like , doctors, lawyers , builders , architects . But if Lauren says she is an “artist” and does not say “Christian artist “ she is torn to shreds as a sellout . I love her music and the doors it opens for some people to turn away from suicide and self loathing and to open up to the possibility of being loved by the almighty God . I am happy she is aligning her life with Christ . That’s plenty .

I was so hopeful for her that because of her natural charisma, she would have the opportunity to really talk to people about Jesus. I actually have no problem what so ever with a secular performer being just that....a secular performer...or a secular performer showing Christian values (example....Chris Pratt) I am curious about your comment on how she is "Aligning her life with Christ?" If you mean by living in the world as part of the world and singing a possibly up-lifting song...read Romans 12:2

She has immersed herself in all the trappings of fame and the world. As Christians, we know that we're often required to do things differently than everyone else. In fact, we're specifically instructed not to conform to the ways of the world (Romans 12:2), but the pull of the crowd can be hard to resist.
The reason so many Christians are bothered by the current version of Lauren is that she became what she is today by being a "Christian Artist"...and now that the world has co-opted her career...she all of a sudden cannot even give glory to Jesus in any interview that is out there. The impression given is that the "Christian " music segment was a stepping stone for her career. In her own words, she doesn't mention Jesus as the inspiration for her music...instead she simply talks about the power of music.

I am not holding her or anyone up as the perfect Christian . No not at all . But she is a sin sick Christian like all of us ,saved by grace and growing in her understanding and relationship with God .thats what I meant when I said she is aligning her life with Jesus .

This doesn't really make sense. We as Christian carry our beliefs, faith, and convictions everywhere we go, and into every career path we choose. A teacher, for instance, can hold her faith, but doesn't specifically advocate for Christ. That isn't in the job description. A teacher teaches. A Christian teacher teaches. Similarly, a doctor doesn't necessarily advocate for Christ, that isn't in the job description. A doctor provides medical care for his patients. Simple Enough. In what other way can they implement their faith through medicine, in what other way can teachers teach?
A Christian singer, on the other hand, sings for Christ. That IS the job description. That is the people they speak to, that is the demographic they reach out to. Now, another aspect would be the actual praise of God. A Christian, who decidedly chooses to sing secular music instead of singing to the King of Kings, should evaluate their spiritual lives to see where their loyalties lie. Is their heart with the world or with God?

For the people that are saying things that are negative on her Christianity. Think about this how her music is put on the top 40 stations. which means she can get a people interested in God, even if it's just a little. The thing is we don't know where she is in her faith. We don't know if she just tanking baby setting into sharing her faith. Or if she is just growing in her faith herself. Unless we meet her and talk to her ourselves we can't disclaim her faith. There are times where I wish that I told about god but was scary of what others will think. That doesn't make me any less of a Christan.
@@pamm2652 Simply getting people interested in God is not good enough. See, people need to understand that we must observe the fruits of other believers. Many Christians are starting to walk in a lukewarm faith and are compromising with the world. I myself don't want to be one of them and I don't want any of you to be either. Have you ever closely examined the lyrics of her songs to make sure they align with God's Word. A watered down gospel can also attract many people, but does it convict them and have them begging on their knees, repenting and asking for forgiveness from the Lord? We can do better than that. Spread the gospel! People need to know about Jesus Christ, the One who saves! People have a choice of whether or not they want to repent and accept Jesus into their lives as Lord and Savior. Time is short.

Saying something like "she not a Christian because xyz," makes the people that are becoming interested. Because of her will turn them away from Christians. They will not see it in a loving way. If we were to say something like. "God thank you for the work that you do though her. I pray that you will help her to show your love well. That she will love you full heartedly for the rest of her life. That the people that you bring into the church through her will be welcomed by strong believer. Who will help them to grow closer to you. Amen." God can to work through anybody. Fear does not get people to give there whole life to people. Someone on the street telling people that they are a dirty sinner does not get people in the door, people getting interested does. It's our job as Christians to love each other as Christ has loved us. It's God's job to judge.

Why do we need music that sings of the creator to be accepted by a certain music industry. What's so special about them that God's praise needs their approval. Rather we need to be singing more music that will convict people to abandon the things the devil gives and turn to God. Lauren's music is good music btw

Massive Congratulations 🎉👏❣️ to Lauren Daigle and all involved in the song! It is a beautiful song and I love the simplistic video. I think the fact she is alone in a nice house adds to the songs message. You really get the sense of the solitude we may feel when we are feeling the weight of life's issues, and even when on the surface things look good, bright, secure that isn't always the case within us. Great track and great interview above, it's great that she gives our wonderful God his credit!

She’s proud of herself more than being grateful towards the Lord...just because she says it...means nothing if she isn’t living it. All we can do is pray for her to find the right path again...and love her because she’s still a soul. I’m a singer for the Lord and this walk is very hard. I was in choir in Highschool and I regretted it because we didn’t sing songs about the Lord and once in a while when I had the chance I would sing christian songs for my solos and every person knew that I wasn’t ashamed...and I just love to sing in general but there is nothing more beautiful than to sing ANOINTED songs by the Holy Spirit. We ALL struggle and fail but we ALL have to come back to him. The truth, Lauren Daigle. The voice he gave us...use it for his glory. Or he will probably take it away. He is capable of anything. We must have that fear of the Lord in us also. Lauren Daigle. Don’t let the world or anything pull you away from God. Don’t let yourself either. Our worst enemy beside Satan is ourselve. I love her so much, she is an amazing singer with such an incredible talent, her songs pick me up every time I hear them, I so glad for her Grammy, I went through tuff times recently and always positive even when my husband ask me “ I don’t understand how you are so sure that everything is going to be fine” that was the Jesus strength, that was my answer and all of that because I listen her music

That song has ministered to me many times. We all feel this way at times in our lives and its wonderful as a reminder, that there is a Great , Big, Loving God , who loves us and knows our struggles and feelings and He thinks we have worth, even when we don't feel it.

Let God use Lauren. Let Him lead her when He feels He needs to be mentioned! Jesus doesn’t need to be mentioned by name to be glorified or to reach others! As Christians we need to stop criticizing and support Lauren. We are not in her shoes, but this is a time to pray and that God does something amazing.
The more we criticizes, the more we look like fools! We are not Lauren’s judge. We are called to just pray and trust that the Holy Spirit will use Lauren to reach millions!

Her songs, music, lyrics are very anointed. I feel the presence of God when I sing the words to her songs. If she is perpetrating a believer she's doing a good job in those lyrics, and if she's not, I say God lead her and guide her and give her the world as a platform to show your mercy and glory. She is on a journey just like the rest of us, and we need to lift each other up and see how God can be seen in every situation. None of us are perfect, so let's pray for each other and ask God to show us his plan and to open doors so we can touch others as I believe she is. I say if it leads one person to Christ than she's done her job. I give her credit, if she wants to survive Hollywood, God help her to never lose sight of you. That is certainly a job that I wouldn't want, but I believe God can use us no matter where we go as God is every where.

Your music has come along at a time when I didn't even know I needed it. I hear people complain about you saying your not a Christian artist, I think that is wonderful! Same with you not giving God praise. If it comes from God and His love it "advertises " itself. It's what we do in our private time with Him that He wants. The gift He provides us THRU you does not need to be pointed out. That's the purpose of His glory. It shines, spears and speaks to that deep dark spot inside on its own, without us having to point it out. We are called to show Him to the world. If we do it correctly nothing added is needed. My point is that everyone thanks god. These are opportunities she’s been given to proclaim Jesus. She should take them. I love the song but it doesn’t even mention God let alone Jesus. The song could just as easily be about a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife. That is why I said a little more specificity would be nice. It will take the song from “feel good” to life changing.

People, we need more artists who are Christian as opposed to Christian artists. I love Hillsong, Bethel music and other worship music as well, but as a Christian artist you have your demographic and those people, more often than not, are already Christians. She literally just said she wants people to feel God's love through her music... If anyone listens to her songs and checks out her music, they will know she is a Christian. We're called to be lights in the world, and through her voice and talents that's EXACTLY what she is doing. She is witnessing to a secular culture who may not even know the name of Jesus! God tells us to honour him in how we live our lives specifically and not just in what we say. Is she doing that? And even if it seems to you she's not, is it right for you or me to question? In my opinion I believe that we Christians are the most hateful and judgmental people. I’m honestly so disappointed in our brother and sisters, you all act and call yourselves a Christian but judge another for how she represents God. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. She is an AMAZING christian, overall an amazing person. She doesn’t see the differences in people but want everyone to be united as loving people of God.
What’s good in creating hate? Nothing. Jesus was judged by so many people but guess what he’s never caused a division in people. He never thought that that was necessary (as of Lauren). Calm and collected and even accepted and loved the sinners and died for all of our sins. I’m not saying Lauren is Jesus or God either but lives a Christ like life. What’s the difference between God and Jesus? Nothing. We Christians are so divided we have our own separate beliefs on what being a Christian is and continue judging one another( as in being Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Mormon, Protestant, Angilecan, Methodists and the list goes on). I don’t care if your this or that don’t call someone disgraceful unless you look at yourself first or even tell someone they’re going to hell if this or that isn’t to be done because that’s not your place to judge, you don’t judge for God. You don’t also tell someone they have a devil inside of them because of this or that, it’s completely rude. It’s one of the reasons I almost fell out of Christianity too, I was so trapped in this box of judgmental Christian I had started to question God if he actually loved me until I was able to snap out. Lauren’s music and so many other Christian artists were able to bring light back to my faith.
