I got mine a few months ago (I live in Mexico). I've already installed a Crosman metal breech on it to use a scope, and now I like it even more. I also have a a couple Benjamin 392 rifles (wooden and synthetic stocks) one with a scope adapter, very accurate guns as well

Nice! I’m curious to see if this gun can be as accurate as a Benjamin? I like it better than my Benjamin 392 because it’s way easier to pump and the trigger is better. I don’t know if it’ll be more accurate than my Benjamin 342?
I find it to be a way more pleasant gun to shoot than the Benjamin’s just cause everything is easier to use.

Bought 1 early 2024 cleaned & lubed everything 1st. Shoots approx 2,3 inches to right. Adjusted rear site no help. Pushed pellet down front of to breech, barrel was rough & pellet was binding in 3 places. Used cloth brush w/ chrome polish, helped clean out barrel. Found site 1 person states he filed left side of front site. Helped need to do more work on it. Other than Legends P08 this is 1st very inaccurate pellet gun owned. Have about 10 dating back to early 80's. Both Crosman & very accurate .

Right out of the box - fun as can be! I added steel breech and a crosman centerpoint scope, and a gravmag pellet loader… it is a rat getter for sure! A real tack driver.
I also have an old 1400 that I’ve recently rebuilt - I think the stock 362 hit ever so slightly harder than the old 1400, but not enough to worry about.
My next step will be the 24” barrel, although I’m super happy with it the way it is! Just my 2cents! Enjoy the new toy!

I think this will be my next airgun, I love the 2240 and 1322 , this gun is so close to the carbine upgrade you can do with the 1322 . I'm thinking to do a brass build brass breech , brass muzzle flip on the end and I've seen occasionally available a barrel band , sight , pump pivot for the 1322 .

Thanks! I think you’d really like this model and I enjoy shooting it more than my new Drifter. I think it’s really cool in that guys can mod it into what they want but it also offers really good power and accuracy in original form. Right now it’s been my favorite airgun to shoot. I don’t mind pumping it up and now that I’ve been shooting all my different guns again and comparing their traits, I forgot how good pneumatic airguns are. To me it feels like a nice compromise between being light, handy and accurate but not so nice that you’d not want to drop it out in the woods, carry it in the rain, you know, baby it like it’s a museum piece. I have some really nice springers that I don’t take out in the field because they were so expensive.

@@airgunsofalaska My Dad has an RWS 350 magnum that's like that (don't want to get it dirty or scratched LOL). He likes that rifle, but I've shot it quite a bit in the past ten years and it's not for me. Way too long, too heavy, hard as heck to cock, and difficult to shoot accurately. My Dad knows how to shoot it quite well, something like holding it loosely or something, not sure. Anyway, it has an insanely good trigger though, adjustable down to like 1lb or something, it's crazy. It definitely has a whole lot of power for a pellet rifle, and the wood is just top quality, great checkering and all that. And the bluing is deep and beautiful. 🎉 I finally put in an order for my regular 362. I ordered it from Crosman at a reduced price of $100 free shipping. I believe I may have been able to get it a little cheaper from Amazon but you may remember that Amazon will no longer ship airguns to my area. 😢 😡
I have a couple of after market parts in mind for it and some that I had already purchased after Crosman announced they were going to sell the 362. It will be a work in progress for now. I hope shipping works out or you got it worked out. You looking at that 3622? I saw the price and was thinking it was pretty cheap but then I'll go all mod crazy on it, like I always do. Steel breech, modified 2260 wood stock, adjustable trigger, put a pressure gauge on it, all the goodies. 😉 Lol basically end up building a Discovery. 😂 The thing that turns me off about that gun is, like you mentioned on one of your other videos, is the dreaded hand pump. 😂 It's good in a bind but I don't want to do it. @@jackpotparty58 I was messing around on their site hoping something would’ve changed but they only appear to ship FedEx or UPS and it’s like $99 to ship with AK. The 3622 keeps coming up as a gun I can’t get shipped to Alaska as it’s pressurized and hazardous and has to ship via ground. I don’t get it? Crosman must have it listed differently than other PCP’s? I can order a Beeman Chief off Amazon if I want, it just doesn’t make any sense?
The 3622 looks really appealing as a project gun or just something to add to my collection. I’m not sure I understand some of the bashing some people give the gun? It’s assembled in the USA and has a lot of made in USA parts. That is always more expensive than a soulless gun made in communist China. Maybe some channels are trying to create controversy to gain views?

I'm sure that if it cost an arm and a leg, they wouldn't beat on it. Lol
You also see unrealistic people that want $500 quality out of a $150 gun. 🙄
The 3622 is looks to be a solid foundation starting pcp gun. All the mods already exist. People just need to connect the dots. 😉
I believe the pcp version of the 1077 didn't do so well because there was no room for power adjustment and improvement. You get what you get, unlike the 3722. It's one of the reasons I've never owned a 1077 to this day. The repeater feature is big temptation though. I almost bought one when they came in wood. Lol I'm sure I would have buckled if it came in 22 with increased power, a modern day 622.

This gun is a piece of crap. I bought one a few weeks ago and I've tried everything to make it group under an inch at 10m, and it just won't, not with any pellet, at any number of pumps. Scope or irons. Junk. No need for power if you don't have accuracy. I've put over 1000 rds through it, re-crowned it, made a barrel spacer for it.. nothing helps.

    • @airgunsofalaska
      @airgunsofalaska  2 роки тому +1

I wouldn’t call it a piece of crap or junk. While there’s always the chance you got a lemon, too many people have posted videos showing the gun is accurate is deem this gun as junk.
Did you clean your barrel? I totally didn’t believe it would make any difference and had viewers hounding me in every video writing “Did you clean the barrel?” I finally did (several times actually) testing, cleaning, testing again, cleaning and I’m really happy with mine but it was frustrating at times.
Now one thing, I’m not using the stock barrel. Maybe your barrel is defective? I bought a longer Crosman barrel and a steel breech. I found that Crosman Premiers worked well but yours could be different.
Don’t give up on it. I’d go though, loosen the breech and barrel grub screws, wiggle stuff around and retighten trying to get everything to settle into where it is happy. That’s what I did, multiple times. Good luck and let us know if you see an improvement 👍

@@airgunsofalaska yeah I've cleaned the barrel really well and had it apart 4 or 5 times to try and figure out what's going on. The barrel band stripped out completely the first time I took the grub screw out, the threads came out with it, so it has a new bigger one tapped in. I tried a steel breech and scope, tried recrowning the muzzle, I tried adding a barrel/tube spacer and 2nd band around it to support the barrel better, tried 6 types of pellets at different numbers of pumps, nothing seems to help. The best I have got it to shoot was around 3/4" at 10m on 6 pumps with premier domed HP, if I don't include the fliers. Scoped. Normally it's 1-2" groups at that distance.
It's extremely frustrating. I really want to like it, but I can't stand the inaccuracy. The few decent groups I've shot with it had random flyers, but 9/10 groups are 1" or bigger at 10m with a scope or irons, doesn't matter.
I would not buy it again if I'd known what I do now.
I'd try a different barrel but we can't seem to buy replacement barrels longer than 10' in communist Kanada. Anything bigger has said its out of stock for several years.

@@mikestewart8412 Sounds like you are having similar issues to me. I ordered my longer Crosman barrel from MAC 1 airguns and it was quite filthy. I didn’t opt to have them do anything to the barrel as they had s number of services listed. I used my .22 rimfire brass brush on my barrel as patches alone weren’t getting it clean. I got criticism from some viewers for doing that but it worked. I can’t see how brass that is softer than steel is going to harm the barrel? My barrel band grub screw also stripped out and I had to do the same thing you did with retapping.
I’m now happy with my accuracy and didn’t mind working through the issues as I liked the gun but I understand your frustration. My Hatsan 95 was not accurate and viewers gave me all kinds of advice which worked to improve the accuracy. But, at the end of the day I still don’t like the gun or enjoy shooting it very much. Unfortunately/fortunately it’s one of my most popular videos so I’ll likely end up shooting it some more as people like it but I much prefer to shoot my 362.
Maybe try some more pellets, remove the barrel and scrub it out really well with a brass brush and Hoppes #9 and see if it improves things. That’s what I did and figured I had nothing to lose. It could be that your barrel has some defect?

    • @mikestewart8412

I played with it this morning some more and think I might have solved my accuracy issue.
I completely removed the front band grub screw and left it out so now the barrel just floats through it, then put the homemade spacer back in about 5" in front of the breech and put a few tight wraps of electrical tape around the tube and barrel to secure the spacer in place and act as the only barrel support.
It shoots around half inch or less at 10m with every pellet I have now, no fliers, and I was just drilling 200ml mini pop cans at 30m with the peep sight.
It's real janky, but ill take it.
Still think a new production gun shouldn't need this much hokey pokey to make it shoot... but I at least don't hate it now haha.
