Arpit, great video! I too am thrifty with free food, love it when there is free food at work! I'm in Cambridge and in a week I spend about $75 on groceries (the total for weekly groceries is ~$150 but I split it with my partner), around $40 on food out, and $5-10 on the T on the weekends. Depending on the week, there could be another $40-50 for other shopping or entertainment. That makes a total of around $170 per week! Of course this doesn't factor in the mostly expenses of rent and other bills, which are the most expensive things!
$40 on food out per week is actually do reasonable. That sounds like about the amount you can sneak in some treats and not feel like you are overspending so much! And I think I spent about $45 on groceries for like half a week in this video then I end up supplementing it with another $25-30 for sure, in the same week, so we are basically spending the same amount on groceries. I just feel like I am able to get much less with $75 than I used to be able to Emma, wonder if you feel the same.
@@arpit_sharma Yeah, I try to mostly keep getting food out to the weekends which helps it stay less! And you're totally right about the grocery prices lately. Just last year we were paying around $100 weekly for about the same amount of groceries! It's crazy, I try to save costs where I can by getting the sales/coupons!
Hi Arpit! It’s very expensive indeed living there, but it sounds like you have it under control. You have to enjoy the fruits of your labor, also. If I lived there, I wouldn’t have a car, but would still maintain a driver’s license in case I wanted to rent a car for whatever reason. Good video, as usual. I’m not traveling there until early September, so I’m hoping for good weather! Best. -N
