Question: let’s say that I’m turning right at a red light. And the opposite side’s cars have a protected left turn with green arrow. Can I just rolling out a little bit and become a fully stop? Or it’s recommended during a road test that I should just remain stopped until it’s clear? Thank you!
I’m a fairly new driver. Today I had started to make a right turn on a green from Stewardson Way to 12th street in New Westminster. A car opposite me started to turn on the green and nearly cut me off. Then the two cars behind him did the same thing. So I waited until they all finished their turns. There was no advanced green on their side. I thought they should have waited until I completed my turn. What should have happened in this scenario. I’ve driven this route many times and had no issues before. Drivers would wait until I completed the turn.
Thanks for the video.Often , at right turns on red light , there is a car that is going straight ( on my left) and has pulled up far enough , obstructing my sight line . Therefore, I am under the notion that it is not safe to creep forward cause maybe there are pedestrians crossing the street. What would be the wise thing to do in that case?? Thank you in advance.
On the lights with the right turning arrow (like the one on the willingdon example at 5:18) , do we still proceed if it only displays a red light (no right green arrow)? Thank you!
Hi! Could you please advise on how to turn right at a red light with pedestrians at the intersection? I will mention a situation i went through. The traffic light was red and the pedestrian light was red also, so I started to make my turn, then the pedestrians light went white while me turning and it was a close call for me.

How about turning right on green light while the other car is turning left and we come at intersection at same time. Which car has right of way.
When you are a facing a green light you should have the right of way when turning right.
