I love their early aesthetic with their lyrics and general sounds. It's literally as if insane clown started rapping. It's silly, and funny, yet still explicit and vulgar.
"gets paid laying on her back" is a HELL of a lyric change 😂😂 props to whoever came up with the lyrics for the censored version because it still flows damn well, and gets the message across without beeps or silence.
I really like this song because it shows just how your actions can affect you and other people. While it’s portrayed in a dark way, it’s so accurate. Maybe that’s just me, coming from a dad who’s a drunk lol.

Have a family member who would sing and quote this song a lot back when I was younger, and they've grown up to be really metal but straight edge and very educated. This song reminds me of them ALOT. I can imagine them listening to it just finishing high school back then and choosing to make their life what they truly want it to be. Quite inspiring if I'm honest.

The funny thing is ICP are touching on some pretty weighty themes here - they are identifying the perpetrators of DV and calling them out on it. It's crass, but it hits home more than you'd think.
I.C.P. are usually good horror story tellers. That's why I like them. The song "Halls of Illusion" reminds me of the halls at my workplace full of fake people. Everytime I sense that fakeness, I remember I.C.P and it makes everything allright.
They're alot more than people make them out to be. Alot of morals and deeper meanings in their lyrics. Might be dark and violent but it's not just nonsense
this song scratches my brain so much. I've only been listening to ICP for like a month but this song is by far my favorite. I'm some sort of neurodivergent and part of that is I can hear teeny tiny sounds, and this translates into my music taste a lot in a way where I really like when songs have a bunch of different little noises everywhere and this song does a very good job at that.
You should check out the album Donuts by J Dilla, instrumental album but there is a lot to hear upon repeated listens. He is also from Detroit like ICP,
The Great Milenko will always hold a special place in my heart. I was only 7 when my uncle first played it for me. But hell, it still remains one of my favorite rap albums of all time.
100%. This was absolutely my favorite album of any genre for what I believe was 1997. I often wonder what happened to ICP. It's almost as if they forgot how to rap, or how to make good music. I lost interest in them after the Jekyll Bros album. People forget, they were pretty mainstream for a minute. The Jekyll Bros was literally a #1 selling album at one point.
I hate that it's edited, but still a great song. I'm not a "Juggalo", but I appreciate the message of the song. To me, anyway, it's a warning about how you treat those you love. If you treat them well, they'll end up great; if not, if their lives end up shattered, it's all your fucking fault.
At some point WE become responsible for our OWN happiness... Stop blaming others... the message of this song IS valid...pick up the pieces of your shattered life and put yourself back together... NO ONE is going to do it FOR you. Good luck with that!
I can see how you'd say that, and I didn't consider that angle. My opinion hasn't changed, as there's no reason to make anyone's life harder than it has to be.
I couldn't of said it better. I am not a juggalo! but I love ICP, you listen to the words and they are good people that act crazy and say things they don't mean, I know that they are sitting in there mansions, laughing at the butthurt of people that hate them and make them famous. I also enjoy the Piggy Pie song, it has a lot of "middleman" truth as well. I really enjoy their music!! :) cheers
I feel like censoring them is so funny cause the album version has some bite to it in the lyrics but the creative ways they rewrite their songs is also really fun

@@itsmelody4548 to me its about punishing wicked people, especially dead beat or abusive dads. It also relates to their deeper mythology/dark carnival etc.
i genuinely don't understand all the hate Insane Clown Posse's music gets. yeah, it can be juvenile and immature, but that's the point. Insane Clown Posse is essentially a Nu Metal band, without the actual band; they have the vibes, the aesthetics, the sound, the combination of heavy metal and hip hop, they look like a Nu Metal duo, like if Korn, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit were genetically mutated into clowns. i know that sounds like an insult with how much hate Nu Metal (UNFAIRLY) gets, but i personally love Nu Metal, so it's 100% a compliment. honestly, i think the reason ICP and Nu Metal get so much hate is simply because, somebody somewhere made it popular to hate them, and everyone who liked them were shamed until they conformed. as soon as Eminem called them Faggy 2 Dope and Silent Gay, everyone decided to hate ICP because Eminem is supposedly the greatest rapper alive, therefore everything he says should be taken seriously... because when Eminem has beef with someone, which like... he has beef with every single person on the planet... everyone decides to hate them on behalf of their rap god. fuck him, i like ICP, bite me. And live in the gutter and sell crack to each other
When they were kids you'd beat em and leave em home
And even whip em with the cord on the telephone
And that reminds me man hey ya gotta call
Watch your step to Hell...it's a long fall!
Ah, it's time to pack up and move to the next town
But we forgot Mr. Bigot, okay, dig it
We can't show you an illusion 'cause we're all packed
But I'll still cut ya neck out, how's that?
more than likely they just copy and pasted the lyrics from somewhere but forgot this was a censored version, the lyrics they posted are the unedited lyrics

"Listening to ICP censored is like watching a silent movie with your eyes closed". Never more a truer quote.
I’m so addicted to this song😻
The start of being a metal head for myself, for some apparent reason, this was the start of it.
Who’s coming here from Steve’s funeral on American dad 😂
I’ve started listening to ICP since a few months ago and this is by far my favorite. I play it on repeat and listen to it while I work
The editing the song kills my soul. This was a teenage favorite. 😢
