Mark Cleghorn, I am loving your videos on lighting and you are such a good teacher. I wrote down some notes for myself from your recent advice on headshot lighting yesterday, which I may add to a guide booklet on post production and studio lighting I am writing, only with your permission of course, hope that’s ok? Your photos here are amazing. 👍
What kind of bracket is that for your foam board? I'm trying to find something like that and finding it difficult. Great video of fine art portrait lighting! Thank you!
Hi love your tutorials. I want to ask you what's the name of that little stand you put the foam on at 13:13 and where can I get them. I made the same one for my studio.
@@leannamargetson7544 I purchased a bike rack recently and tested it out, but also tried using an old telescoping shoe rack with 3 levels of height that seems to be more versatile because I can also use it to store all my boards in when not in use. Glad to be of help.
Great tutorial, I am new to studio photography so have a doubt with regard to light settings. When you say "key light is f4 and hair light is f2, 2 stops less" actually it means we are letting in more light from hair light than the key light right? how is it 2 stops less? Please correct me if I am wrong. Moreover these days the light setting readings in the flash are read as 1/4 power, 1/2 power etc. So how do we convert these settings. Thanks again for all your tutorials, am learning a lot from these.
I thought the same thing. I also thought he should have either moved the light or fixed the model's hair to fix that harsh shadow on the right side of her face (left side of frame). But I do love his posing, for sure
Your educational videos are top-notch, Mark, thank you!
Absolutely beautifully done
Thank you
wowww !!! the lighting is amazing ! great job !

Before he points the large softbox down, where is the light on her foot coming from? From the softbox?
very good question, i am wondering the same
Yup it's from the softbox. Less light due to light fall off. the light is also being cut from the leg by the dress some.
Beautiful!

This is just a basic pedal bike stand. You can use one or in some cases two per board for maximum support.

Closest thing I could find to that was a bike rack I found on amazon.
@@sburgos9621 Thanks for the help!

He probably misspoke. It's probably metered at f8 if it's 2 stops less than the key light's f4.
You calculate the f-stops with a light meter
Enjoyed the posing ! Great video!
Very useful. Thanks
When next part?
Maybe it's just the youtube video but do the highlights look blown out on the girls face

I met at 13:13
