"I don't need a boat" EVERY TIME I bring up catfish Dave to someone, it's always the same thing I hear. They use to watch him when he banked fished. I think he thinks the boat is what increased his subscribers. But it wasn't. It just so happens it was when he was getting known more and more people was finding him. His bank videos was a master piece. Didn't care if he only caught one fish. Liked how he came to the camera and talked, and how he was funny, and the encounters with boaters and dogs peeing on his boots 😂. He had such a better attitude and was funny and the bluegrass music. A good thing lost forever.
Thx Dave for teaching me and doing all these fishing videos you are the best one on you tube , if you want to do a salmon video in Muskegon Michigan I will go and show you how it's done I have the lures and rods , been going since 1983 , beginning of October probably good time
Buddy you need to go to the Shawnee town ramp go a mile south across from the island on Illinois side about 200 foot off the bank and it has a rock bottom caught really nice flat head around 40 and blue between 20 and 50
I looked for ur ass half the damn day 😂 whole family wanted a picture and autograph! But you keep sliding in and out 😂 I loved how you looked straight at them people and let that sucker go!!! In slow mo👍👍👍

I am having back surgery in about Twenty Days (Finally) l've fished fishing , golfing, and soon archery season, but with any luck I hope to get some catfishing in this fall...
I live in central WV. We have lakes here under winter pool. All the lakes are slowly dropping. Flow form small rivers isn’t keeping up with the minimum outflow of most dams here
"...cheap hook, made *over there.."* There's no excuse for that when they sell Eagle Claw hooks in most any Walmart- made here, made well, still cheap.. Unless you're really just *that cheap* when it comes to stuff like that.
I used a guide on Ohio river he would filled shad and use the slab flapping in the current works well for up to 25 lbs cats whole shad for bigger bites FYI
I caught a salamander out of the Ohio River, the size of a cat once when I was fishing there. I think that's what it was. It was close to 10 pounds and it looked like a salamander, but it was huge. I just let it go.
Mr DAVE >> would you drop some links of how you do your Rod -n- Line setups ? I see multiple weights on 1 rigs & honestly I love the show but If I'm to attempt doing this it would be nice to tie all the stuff up like you do...... need a link for help? peace
Just go ahead and spend you $2000-$3000 and get a 12” Humminbird. Use the 12 for side scan and get a 9” Humminbird for GPS. Nothing around me is mapped. All I use is a Helix5 2D Sonar. Id love to have a big boy SI screen but I know exactly whats under my boat and thats what really matters to me I guess.
I would of took a slab of that cheese you accidentally left out and stuffed a wedge of it it in one of those skip jack mouths.......who amongst us doesn't love cheese? (Especially that Cracker Barrel Sharp Chedder)

You should try fishing the Great Miami River if you are far enough North on the Ohio River.
