I dont know why but i read the title as evaporating everything with cash which made me think there was an attack that scaled with cash and now im slightly dissapointed
The 15 damage cap boon is the best one for Chronos because it works on the instant kill abilities. Even I can win with that boon. My favorite first 3 keepsakes all start with C. Chaos (because permanent value) Concave Stone Echo's (permanent value) Crystal Figurine (Circe) gives you a random arcana. Everyone likes permanent value keepsakes !
56:35: Presumably they'll introduce the keepsake artwork whenever it's time to bring in the res of the gods, since they have apparently said Dionysus, Ares, and Athena will return. But yeah, pretty convenient they had just enough for the whole alphabet.
It's genuinely funny that when I first read those letters, I almost thought I was misremembering that there's 26 letters because there's 27 keepsakes and the last one is still labeled Z. Nope, just turns out that there's 2 N keepsakes
@@Retromation Touché, it is a little hard to refund that time since that time walking around the room is half expected to be spent walking to the exit doors
Yep, feels like timer should just pause at the end of room and you just get less total time. It stops the weird pause cheese that speedrunners have to do that honestly breaks gameflow. People say it needs to be like that because the decision making should be timed... but it isn't for boons or anything else so seems an odd argument to me.
@Retromation that could certainly be one way to do it. It *is* kind of weird when the speedrun clock decides to pause. It mostly pauses when you can't control your character, during rooms with NPC's (but not shops) and after bosses which feels a drop inconsistent
Ah, regular cast build, my favourite way to cheese the game. I used it for one of my 32 nightmare wins because I genuinely think if you're willing to play lame the basic cast build is one of the strongest in the game, and can work on literally every weapon. It's just so safe, especially if you get the Zeus or Hestia things that let you use your cast from a distance
So like...I'm amazed there isn't an easter egg already, but since Chronos controls time to the point he can deny you pausing...why can't he just instantly end your time limit? Just get to the fight and he goes "Oh, you're doing a time limit challenge? Well, time's up."
I agree it'd be harsh to randomly auto-lose (particularly if you had a really good run going) though could certainly see the fun in a one time halving of the time or taking some portion/predetermined amount that'll make it more challenging yet not impossible. Such as regardless of how much time you had left, it goes down to 5 minutes (or however much might be appropriate to act as a meaningful challenge).
He has the one dialogue where he says that only he controls the rate at which time flows, it would be kinda cool if during the fight with him the timer ticked down twice as fast
That nemesis encounter seemed way too early. Maybe if you had a early selene moonbeam? And that would be the best usecase for it too.
I've had poseidon dupe double max hp and pom slices for me on a run. Please don't doubt the epic things you can get for 'minor boons' 😂

Are you in luck
Cuz there is
A duo boon
oh, like that one daedalus hammer for stygius from the first game! that’d be cool

Vaguely surprised that Reto didn't notice the speedrun clock pauses while you're in the middle of a harvesting animation
I did, but it doesn't refund you going out of your way for it. That is what I meant.

Imagine if you could gift Chronos before the fight or as a parting gift after it XD

I think this would be too much/too harsh if not done correctly.
Maybe when you die to chronos instead of killing you he just ends the timer perhaps.

I've had Double Up pay off like crazy for me, like the triple coin rooms in tartarus. I've hit chronos with 5k obols and tons of HP, mana etc.
This weapon would be much more better if your attacks dont pierce through enemies so that it will stop besides enemies ...
Cool Vid
Actually they messed up and there are either two N or two M keepsakes I believe 😂
Skull and twin torch looks pretty poorly designed especially some weapon aspect seems the best way to use them is just ignore what aspect do
Hello hello hello
Big darkness dude is very bad at turning around
Algorithm :)
