In 2020 I had a problem it was a solution too. When we went through the ammo shortage, all of my common cartridge components were missing from local guns stores and online sales. .375 was so odd ball I found plenty of projectiles and the cases were plentiful at my public range.
Good morning! That makes sense. I remember when you were building a rifle for the 375. Another channel I follow built a bolt gun for it. Do you know what caliber it would be if you were able to run the cases just trimmed back and not necked down? Do you anneal the caes before you neck them down?
I think P. O. Ackley made a .416 AI out of .30-06 brass with a nearly straight sidewall and a small but steep shoulder. .45 ACP uses the same case head and you should theoretically be able to make a similar case with less taper. Might not feed or extract well though.
Currently. There is another round called the 375 Raptor that is being made in bolt guns. That one is different in the sense that you don’t really cut the case. Just resize it and give it a minor trim.
@@ModernMountainMan You've got me looking at the 375 Winchester now which has a lot more hardware actually available and brass can be formed from 30-30. Might be a good compromise until 375 stalker uppers become more mainstream. Just. thought.
Very interesting!
I may have to get into this round I like wildcat cartridges and mixing things up. I'll have to get with you to see where to get things needed for it
Absolutely
Love this brother. Going to share at my Bible study !! God Bless brother.
Thanks
Stumbled upon your channel and can say sir you know what you’re talking about! Keep grinding and god bless you sir!
Thanks so much
Now that’s a plethora of parent cases.
Which makes playing brass buzzard at the range even easier
Your a Wildcat kinda guy!!!! Morning Brother
Yes sir!
That’s pretty cool. I have heard of that cartridge but have never had the opportunity to play with it.
I love mine
Yet another solution in search of a problem.

Cool video. What was the little chop saw you were using?
The saw was harbor freight. The jig was bought separately.
Have you tried using cast bullets?
I have not but I know others who have.

I think it is somewhere in the 40’s before I resize. I don’t anneal, just lube

I like your thinking. Rifles chambered in this would be AR only ?

@@ModernMountainMan Sounds like it would be good wild boar gun.

@@bradmiller9993 I wonder if Henry Rifles could be talked into a 375 Winchester
@@ModernMountainMan I don’t know: but thanks to you I just put a bid in on a 375 Winchester lever gun!
