This is good life advice in my opinion.👍🏼 And bc the fundamentals of not only what to do but how to think are being represented. I Love listening to Clint✨️...and bc he has prepared me so that I can see and safely venture into what lies ahead. And I am really appreciative for the amount and the depth of advice that he has given. It's REALLY open my eyes, and it just wouldn't feel right if I didn't say #thankyou every now and then.

You don't need an estate plan unless you have huge or complicated assets. Don't spend $5k to $10k on a living trust. For the typical person, a will and a power of attorney is all you need.
Probate is not your enemy. If you want the executor to make an early distribution while waiting a few months for probate to finalize, just present a letter at the beginning of the court proceedings requesting that the judge allow the partial distribution. Talk to your attorney about this. Some states don't even require this step. Just be careful to not distribute too much so that the estate's liabilities can not be settled. I'm not an attorney and this is not professional advise. But, I've been through probate before and it's not too bad.
