People point out the flaws of Sword Art Online and while I understand that it isn't a perfect anime, the choice of music and the story that is there is perfect (more the music pairing nicely with the characters and story). The anime captured the emotions of the viewers successfully, all of the deaths of the characters were tragic and all had an impact. Plus this song playing at the end of the first arc was perfect and made me cry.
The only death with impact was Yuuki. - Sachi was rushed to death (I barely remembered her name,I was going to say "the girl from ep 3" then I thought saki then I thought back to sao abridged and remembered) - And it was obvious Asuna was going to come back. If there are any other deaths I'm sorry but it just shows how forgetable they were. There are only 2 good things about sao: The boss battles The kick ass music.
I love it too and feel very much the same way. Flaws or not if you enjoy it that is great no need to try to bring someone down. (and the soundtrack is soooo good)

Man, I hated, but LOVED The ALO part of SAO. The story was BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING, MARVELOUS, FANTASTIC, ( and other awesome words that I forgot). They made Sugu the PERFECT villain to anger ANYONE. Like when I first saw him, my mind was already like, urjdhfurnrhvnnrhrkfmjfmuglyuglymansouglysososoooouglysuchanuglydisgustingmanUGLYYYYY. I just love SAO so much ( it was the first anime r watch )

Just the moment when kirito wakes up and starts searching for asuna is priceless. The perfect ending for probably 1 of the best anime ever made
