CCuppy A character like olimar isn’t high tier or top tier in the hand of everyone like bayo was. A Noob with bayo can still get 40% combos off special moves. Olimar has a high skill ceiling & when achieved he reaps the reward but the character itself isnt broken.
CCuppy Bayo in smash 4 had no skill gap. You could do what pikimin 101 said with bayo & still win... your counter strategy with olimar would get you nowhere and THATS the differencd
CCuppy Actually it does. You can not pick up olimar and do what shuton is doing. On the contrary a character like palutena has a much simpler combo tree, neutral & way better disadvantage state and recovery. Olimar can’t even hit you during certain frames of his animation even with 3 pikmin, he literally has to wait for ai to come close to him so his aerials can come out. No other character has that niche. His damage output is balanced by how hard he is to play & how poor his disadvantage state is + how light & floaty he is.
