  • Sitting still for meditation can make us hyper aware of our thoughts, emotions and body sensations which can feel triggering for some of us. Maybe you’re neurodivergent, or maybe you have PTSD, or maybe you’re living with chronic pain and sitting still is too uncomfortable-let’s look at some other options so you can still get the benefits of meditation.
    1. Go for a walk! Walk slowly and repeat a short mantra with each step or simply be present and observe your body and the scenery as it passes.
    2. Seated movement meditation-small and gentle repetitive movements with your breath can create a meditative state.
    3. Meditate with a mala necklace. This gives your hands and your mind something to do.

    For some reason I couldn’t sit still in assembly and kept twitching or something, I tried stopping and tried ignoring it and it went away soon
