Grizzly Bear Encounter While Fly Fishing - Remote Alaska

Fishing in remote Alaska near lake Illiamna when I turn around and see a massive Grizzly running downstream towards me. The only things I had to defend myself were a fly rod and my 40-yard dash - neither would fair well against a bear lol.

Thank God you weren't alone, bears typically don't attack unless a person is solo.

When did I say I didn't like it? Sharing the river with bears was one of the reasons I traveled there!

@cdkmonkey2699 Keep in mind that wherever you live right now was once wilderness and home to wildlife, so best not give your tired old lecture to people who enjoy the outdoors.
