Why don’t they port Arkham Origins? 1. It’s not part of the Arkham Trilogy 2. Unfixed bugs and glitches (it would cost to much o fix them all) 3. They would need a new score. (The original has copyright issues)

When I start the game again I'm in the batmobil with riddler but it's ok I did everyting except a few vr missions so I couldn't care less about this game because they don't have any QA. May be in a year when they release 1.04 patch they'll patch this bug. But the good new I got 27gb free space back
Why, what's up with Art of Rally? I was ready to buy it day one, but then I saw how bad it looks & runs on the Switch. I'll wait until I get a Steamdeck or other PC handhelds before I buy Art of rally... that is unless some miracle took place which fixed all the Switch issues?
@@sofaking1180 that's what i'm talking about, maybe the dev fixed it, maybe they didn't, they did a lot of update last year (in terms of content) and because they're indie there's no one cares enough to talk about patches other than the publisher themself
Man I was hoping you had good news on this patch. I can not stomach myself to buy this one till they actually fix knight. It was one of my favorite Batman games.
I've been waiting on this patch before investing in a sale on this trilogy... looks like I'll be waiting longer, what a shame. Switch 2 might come out before then but given the rumors around its ability to improve performance on older titles, they may be able to re-release on it. Thanks for checking on this Mark, these videos really help 😊
I bet the bullet and bought Arkham trilogy for switch. I haven’t played Arkham Knight yet but I did start playing Arkham city and it’s very smooth on switch smoother than I expected. I have no regrets buying it but again I didn’t buy it for Arkham Knight. I bought it for the other two games, so I know full well the Arkham night is going to be trash and it’s things like this where I noticed frame rate issues have the games I don’t notice any frame drops because I’m not a pixel paper that notices these things easily and also because I’m visually impaired.
I’m one of the switch gamer who play the Arkham knight for the first time, I’m going to be honest with y’all. Despite running a lot of issues of this game. I have so much fun playing this game😄 You can still drive around a city, tank combat and racing It made me surprise that how game run on switch. It really showed how much powerful the switch really is, which made me enjoy Arkham knight and the switch.
Damn, you got my hopes up then. I pre-ordered this, I probably would have bought it (with a reduction) for just asylum and city, but with knight promised and clearly not delivered, it is a slap in the face. As an apology, they should put Origins into the package and work on patches as you say. I appreciate your honesty, let's hope for better news next time.
I have a 1 TB SanDisk Ultra micro-SD card in my Switch OLED where I downloaded Arkham Knight after the patch. To tell you the truth, I was just caught up in the atmosphere of the game again and amazed at the fact that I was actually playing the game on the Switch in the first place. It is such a great game. So sad to see how Rocksteady have fallen. With that said, Turn Me Up Games had their work cut out for them on the Switch. Not only with the actual horsepower of the Switch but the slower read and write speeds of the micro-SD card reader in addition to the fact there are so many different micro-SD cards out there with different speed ratings and some people don't think about read and write speeds when buying their micro-SD cards. I just transferred this game to the internal memory of my Switch OLED to see if there is any improvement. I am pretty sure Turn Me Up Games will make even more improvements because now it is a matter of pride. They might even suggest people to use the internal memory, when possible or recommend specific fast micro-SD cards for best performance. I also have this game for on my LCD Steam Deck. The game does look great on the Switch's OLED screen and because the game is so optimized for the Switch hardware it should be able to run longer in portable mode on the Switch than my Steam Deck for long play sessions away from a plug. Also, remember that actually restarting your system and not just putting it in sleep mode can work wonders after downloading a game.
I got cartridge & last night played 1st time, I downloaded upgrade for Arkam Asylum, Arkansas City full game, but not yet Arkam Knight. 🦇 Do you know how much memory will Arkam Knight & patch be ?

One day I’ll pick this up specifically because Arkham City on Switch is a long time dream of mine. Might look at Knight if it gets some significant patchwork, but it’s good that City runs so well.
@@alexrivera633 I mean City runs mostly fine but Asylum runs horrible, awful framepacing, stutters and framedrops, not as bad as Knight, but pretty close, it's extremely choppy.
@@mkiller1001 well I'm not speaking for everyone. That's my own personal opinion and I won't be told by some UA-cam random what to think. We're done here
I love this game, and played tons of times to the point where I know it like the back of my hand. When this version came out, the performance was rough, but I was able to get through the whole main game, and then waited for a patch to play new game plus. Not super far in yet, but from what I can see textures and models are overall a higher quality at like the clock tower, which looks better in the cut scene at the start with Gordon, then it did launch. your spot on with the frame rate, though, it is definitely lower in some spots than before probably as a result of getting those higher resolution textures in the game
I will say, the price of this has dropped and is currently absolutely worth it for Arkham Asylum/City. I would tell people to go ahead and buy it, but don't even bother installing Knight.
heck NO. They need to release the seperate because no one should have by a bundle that doesn't play like this. Shouldve replace knight with origins or only did a double pack.
Here's what i've noticed so far FIXED: - Massive stuttering with Batmobile - Most game crashes - Riddler Trophy invisibile wall bug - Many bugs where you could get stuck in the environment NOT FIXED: - Performance. It's slightly better sometimes, but not most of the time. Not enjoyable, with even under 20fps moments. Really bad - Batmobile section still have frequent and annoying stuttering issue - Game crashes still occur occasionally, unfortunately - Some bugs are present like in some face of NPC models - You cannot finish the game because you can't bring Riddler in GCPD to activate Knightfall protocol (lol). You will get a black screen and be stuck forever. Should we be happy about this update (that comes after 4 damn months?). Obviously not. Should WB refund us? Yes if they can't fix a game no one forced them to port on a weak hardware like the switch. If you do, do it well, otherwise don't. Also, we didn't pay in installments, but you're giving us a game in that way... This if you still plan to update this again, because as Switch teaches us, the "abandon" is behind the corner where devs cannot milk users anymore
For some reason for me the bug of riddler and GCPD of the black screen didn’t occurred to me, and I activated the knightfall protocol, but now on new game + that bug appeared to me, now I’m stuck at 237% of the game
Dave the Diver fans, a physical copy has been announced release in Japan. I'm hoping PlayAsia may get their hands on it with English or maybe a western release at some point. I was reluctant to invest in a digital copy but its worth a physical to me.
This is likely a fix for the glaring bigger issues. Like invisible walls preventing you from getting riddler trophies, the unclimbable fence in one of the sentry towers, the semi-wonky combat, Batman hanging from vantage points he's grappling up to instead of going directly on top of them sometimes, and so forth. I'm waiting for my patch to finish downloading. So I'll see for myself if this is the case. But yeah. Honestly, graphics and frame-rate drops are to be expected when you try to put a game this powerful and massive on a system like the Switch. And if you can look past the minor hindrances you were testing in the video, you'll find that it's not "unplayable" at all. It can still be enjoyed and give you a good Batman experience.
I have yet to update my version but despite the occasional crash or two, I was able to finish the main story no problem I managed to finish the bonus missions no problem. The only thing I have left to do is catch the Riddler. But I have learned that even when it crashes it goes back to a very earlier save data on the main save luckily the back up feature let you load a back up safe just in case you have an issue. No, as to the gameplay, I’m gonna be honest yeah I know it’s a lot of frame rate drops with the high-speed chases but I managed to catch all I had to catch took a while, but I still manage to do it. I did not do the AR challenges because that might be pushing it. And while the driving segments are the main focus of the game I think they relied on it a little too much.. but then again, the same can be said for the flying or gliding mechanic, so nothing is perfect but while I will say, it is better than Arkham city, and Arkham asylum I have to say it is a decent game provided. You haven’t played it on a better system., But you have made a lot of very good points, but I’m going to wait for a later update because despite the graphics being terrible, at least I can see certain characters and I don’t have to worry about shadows
Can we buy them separately yet!? I’m not spending money on Knight! It is far worse than Cyber Punk was on last gen and that got completely refunded by the digitize store owners themselves with apologies and obvious backlash.
The trilogy included actually is. Considering the content in this bundle. People just are more and more entitled anymore and they don't want to admit it at times.
Imagine calling people "entitled" when discussing a game that is an unplayable pile of shit as AK on Switch You types are way worse for gaming than the people you criticize. If a game that cant hit 20 fps reliably isn't an unplayable than what are we even talking about when discussing acceptable performance?
Haven't forgotten that it was unplayable on a high-end PX at launch, and then recalled when they couldn't fix it. Didn't expect much. But Arkham Asylum is still awesome.
One way to fix the lag issues when driving the car is to add a blur effect when the car is moving around the area as if you're moving fast besides other moving vehicles and once the car slows down or stops the textures quickly load in
I’m not interested in playing this game on switch but I’m amazed of how the developers figure it out how to run this on switch. But I feel that with these kinds of games we are having a missed chance to have a good port on Switch 2.
I'm really sad about this because I played Arkham Knight on my brother's PS4 and loved it, I was looking forward to getting it on my Switch and I was really disappointed that it doesn't play well at all. The worst of all is that as it is an Unreal Engine 3 game that is not natively compatible with the Switch and on top of that a demanding open-world with several things happening at the same time, I really don't think they will be able to improve performance in the Switch at that point.
I’ve had a tiny bit of hope that they would be able to get this to a point where it’s playable on switch but I don’t think it’s even possible unless we want loading zones every few seconds. I’ve played both city and asylum so not much reason at all for me to pick this up on switch anymore
Thanks for covering this. I'm kean to play Batman on Switch, but I don't want to support the practice of forcing consumers to buy all three games, when one of the ports is arguably unplayable. They should course correct and offer the Return to Arkham bundle, which is just Asylum and City. Or ideally offer the games à la carte.
Why do Switch players always get screwed over with these ports? And no, the power and age of this console is not an excuse if games like Doom 2016, Eternal and Witcher 3 got at least decent ports.
Yeah, it's pretty obvious. This game was dead on arrival for Switch; the only thing that would make it worthwhile is if when the system's successor comes out, they port it over and don't charge any extra for it. In the meantime, if you want it on a home console, get it on Xbox. If you want it on a handheld (or PC), get it on Steam and play it on Steam Deck.
I wonder. Didn’t the game “No Man’s Sky” add in FSR to one of their latest updates to smoothen out the look of the game AND improve framerates? What’s stopping the devs of this game from implementing that in their latest update as well? That should pretty much help and solve alot of their issues with the game the way I see it. Also wasn’t FSR free to use by devs compared to DLSS? I think the team should look into that.
Batman Arkham Knight is an old game built on an even older engine (Unreal Engine 3), and Epic Games (the vendor of Unreal Engine 3) doesn't support UE3 anymore. So, the developers are in the dark when it comes to "shoehorning" new tech into such an old engine plus i doubt upscaling would help here anyway, it's probably a memory bottleneck problem which can only be fixable with faster memory (Switch 2 can fix this maybe?) OR if the developers can rewrite the streaming system to fit into the Switch weak memory bandwidth specs.
I mentioned this on Twitter, but I managed to play through the game in its original state and was able to power through. The frame rate issues during Batmobile sections were annoying, but I was able to tolerate them and finish the missions. It just took a lot of patience. I wanted to see the game through because I was enjoying the story and world, but yeah, it's definitely brutal for anyone who's maybe not as patient or forgiving as I am. Hopefully/maybe it'll finally be brought to a good state if/when the Switch 2 drops? I'm certainly not holding my breath. We're at least a year away from that and I can't see WB/Turn Me Up putting any work into it that far from now.
@@davidcbeaudoin why not play it on PC where it runs at 100fps and at 4k? Playing it under 18fps would just give you a headache plus its bad for your eyes
This is a full priced game. Nobody should have to "tolerate" something this shoddy. This is why these companies keep doing stuff like this. They know consumers won't care and will continue to buy bad products.
@@Ray__E You aren't wrong. In my defense, I bought the game mostly for Asylum and City. Getting to replay those games, on the go no less, was worth it for me. I also used some gift cards I had saved up, so all told, I only paid like $30 for it. Getting Knight was a bonus, even if it's really rough technically.
I finished arkham knight in December (all but ridley trophies). Ive just tried this patch tonight by restarting the game from the beginning and Im sorry but you're wrong, they improved lots of things. Light effects are better, better and sharper textures ( really obvious when you meet Ivy and bring her with you to Gordon). The GCPD looks way better. They improved menu (mission selection) and general UI (radar waves scenes, missiles gauge). Lots of stuff I couldnt really understand, or notice, in the background before became more visible on the screen and understandable. The batmobile part is a little bit more stable and looks better too. On the negative point, I found the sound effects and music lower. They also seemed to have reduced the pace in batmobile. Overall, they still can do better, it suffers graphically from the lack of aa and has stutters but its a clear improvement. For your information, I play handheld on switch OLED.
What am I wrong about? I'm not looking subjectively. I'm comparing frame rates. Before lowest was 16 now it's 12. Minor visual changes don't change that it looked like a turd before and now it's a slightly (ever so) more polished turd. It stutters all over the place. It's bad. That's all there is to it really.
@@SwitchUpYt Its not minor visual changes when you are in the gcpd or ridley trials. It looks way better. All police officers or prisonners faces have also better textures. You say it runs even worse than before handheld and thats completely wrong. Thats an objective fact.
@@edwardrobles2208 me, I had uninstalled so I just downloaded it again. The file does exactly 28gb. I really dont know why they all talk about 40gb ...
What's interesting is that the water in Arkham City is highly detailed and looks fantastic. In Arkham Knight the water just looks like...I don't know....just textureless space with hardly anything to make it stand out or seem like real waves, etc. The water in Arkham Knight on PS5, Xbox SX, and even on the OG Steam Deck all look absolutely phenomenal. The waves, the splashing bits of water and mist crashing against the rocks, the textures, etc. all just look great and like I mentioned previously; even on the original Steam Deck (not the OLED upgrade) the water looks so incredibly good. It's a bit wild to think the Switch is able to present Arkham City with so much higher fidelity, resolution, textures, etc. on the Nintendo Switch than its able to pull off Arkham Knight with considering graphically, they're fairly similar as far as art direction, assets, graphical style, etc.
I really wanted to play the other two, the ones I enjoy the most. If I could buy only them or get a 50% discount for the trilogy I would definitely buy it, but there’s no way I will pay more than this.
I sure hope that moving forward some of these companies take notes from the last few years. Putting out broken games shouldn't be allowed, just fix it before taking people's money. I go back to Pokemon and cyberpunk. Hopefully they learn before it becomes a legal issue with potential fraud
the update did make the graphics alot better than what i was for the switch, its a step, either they are willing to work and make performance better next update if there is one.
Let's hope switch 2 can handle this....i managed to play the first chase on batmobile at day one to assets things, after a week the game didn't start on my switch anymore
In Nintendo switch i always went to one of the military towers, (the hardest one) and an enemy always had a bug that made him dissapear underground so it was unbeatable, hope they solved that bug
What’s crazy is that Arkham asylum and city look pretty good handheld and look good on docked. Like an improved Xbox 360 variation or ps4 depending on tv quality lol. But Arkham Knight looks and plays like it was ported from the Nintendo 3ds. Was there no way to match Knight to asylum or city’s graphics capabilities?
Knight is just loaded with effects for atmosphere. Rain, lighting, draw distance, massive open world. I don't think it was built to be downgraded back to previous gen. I wish though.
These games have a curse that everytime they are re-released, something gets botched. Crazy that the best all round experience is still on the original X360 or PC for AA | AC and PS4/Xone for Arkham Knight.
This port is just a few months old. It generally takes longer before ports are fixed on Switch. I have seen enough Switch patch videos to know that. I would have honestly been surprised if it was fixed this soon.
Oh boy.....was seriously holding my breath when you stepped into the Batmobile! Fingers crossed🤞it works and is rescued by the ever delayed 'Switch 2'? But yh it's really time now for some new hardware.
I think the only saving grace about this port is that it's at least not a "Cloud ver.". So compared to the infamously heartbreaking cloud ports of the KH Trilogy on Switch, Batman Arkham Knight is a much more admirable effort to make the game playable anywhere and everywhere offline.
I think it's possible to fix the game, other then optimizing it under the hood..they could also introduce variable resolution when in the batmobile to reduce the GPU load since the resolution won't be as noticeable during very fast movement
I think the only way to fix this would be to create loading segments btw areas not ideal but would solve a lot of probems and keep the fidelity up Basically like Hogwarts
I grabbed the trilogy during a boxing week special, specifically for the first two games. I haven't bothered trying Arkham Knight yet on the switch, and based on what I'm seeing I think I'll keep waiting...
I'm considering deleting the game from my Switch. I haven't downloaded the update yet but what's the point if not much has been fixed? A few months ago, I got as far as the 2nd island. Even made a start on the Riddler side quest and finished two of the racetracks. And also started the Man-Bat side quest. The next time I loaded the game up on another session, I had lost a large amount of progress. The save file went back all the way to the Ace Chemicals explosion.
I really hope this game will be a big learning cerve for Turn Me Up Games. This was their first attempt at porting a game of this scale to the Switch and they weren’t up to the task. I don’t necessarily blame them 100% for this, though. Again, a game on this scale is new territory for them, and it’s already a really demanding game as it is on PlayStation and Xbox. Hell, I’ve had plenty of crashes, frame rate issues, texture load in issues, etc, on my Xbox Series X. I give them respect for trying to get it working, and not giving up on it. And I hope they really learn from this one should they ever do any more big, demanding open world games like this, but WB Games should’ve never gave Knight to Turn Me Up Games. This is not a game you just give to a studio with no prior experience with a game this size. Especially not on such limited hardware. You’d think they’d have learned from the original PC launch, but nope. I do wonder how the port would’ve turned out if it Rocksteady themselves were actually involved with the development and QA testing.
I just bought it yesterday despite the negative reviews but it was $50 Hong Kong dollars ($6.40 USD) so it was fair pricing for the work they put in for Arkham Knight.
Finally 120% completion after the patch, stutter still there, glitch still there (actually help me finished on the the riddler race), batmobil still quite hard to handle although is better before patch. And no more errors clompeting the side mission.
They shouldn't be allowed to release a game in this state, if it is they should make it clear to await the patch as regulations dont let them easily completely delay games...
I may be wrong but I honestly believe this is one of those games releasing that released on the old switch but is going to be performance boosted and run better on the model coming next year
For a game that relies so much on the Batmobile you would think that this would be the first thing that they would fix. I could forgive it a little bit more if you could skip those car missions, but we all know that’s impossible. A few of the biggest boss fights, occur while you’re in the car. It really is a shame. If you want to play it handheld I suggest the steam deck.
I refuse to blame the Switch for this. Yes, clearly it's underpowered when compared with a PS4, but also Rocksteady is notoriously bad at optimization, particularly when porting. Hell, even the Switch version of Asylum had issues, even though it's the older of the games. They very obviously didn't care enough. Otherwise they would have just launched the first two titles.
Even when the Switch was new I didn't expect the Switch to be able to run Arkham Knight. My Dad's low end computer couldn't even run the game a low settings and I tried. I would've just settled for the first two on Switch. The bright side is a Nintendo audience finally has Asylum. City and Origins were both on Wii U so they've been introduced to Nintendo gamers before. Although that's really the only silver lining.
I am grateful for a fair but honest review. I have this trilogy on my ps5 and haven’t yet finished it. Knight still to go. But loved it and thought it would be great to have on my switch as then could play a great game on the move. I just caught your original review just before going ahead with buying it and held off. Saw this and was hoping you would say its all good now. Guess I will have to wait a bit longer. Thanks a million, Amabda 🇬🇧
I see Witcher 3 and Doom eternal as the prima Optima of switch games that have been optimised.. Heck even TOTK pushed its absolute limits. These Devs are just lazy no other way around it
It's astounding to me that they even bothered. There was no way in hell this was ever going to launch in a stable condition and I don't really have faith that they're even going to patch it up enough for it to ever really be smooth. I'm not a huge fan of Arkham origins but if I was going to release a trilogy on the switch that would have been the one that I included
This is just a case of a game being totally out of reach of the target hardware specs. I imagine they had planned a Switch 2 release and expected it initially in late 2023 so just thought we'll release it on Switch first then patch it to a locked 720/30fps and 1080p/60fps on the new hardware but now looks rather silly after the hardware delays. Hopefully it's completely rebuilt for Switch 2 as an apology lol.
origins would be nice i know it was made by another developer but its still a wb properties so just like with bungie and 343 they could still re-release origins if they really wanted to.
Really feels like the Arkham Trilogy on Switch should've had Origins instead of Knight (give that game some love finally for it's additions, how ever minor they were). Then save Knight for the switch 2, if that console lives up to the pressure of being a portable PS4 specs wise (basically being a nintendo steam deck or ROG Ally)
Missed opportunity to say Is this the Dark Knight Rises or The Broken Bat. Thanks for content as always. Hopefully these remaster/ports play better on Switch 2. Game preservation is important but should run between 30 and 60 frames.
I didn't bother buying it for switch due to the issues. For $30 cad, I picked up the return to arkham collection and arkham knight for ps4. That way I can play it on the ps5 later on.
Just bought it lol!! Hardcore Fun!! Two Games for 35.99, I don't think they'll get it any lower or that I care.. I've 100% completed Arkham Knight Anyway back in the day. hopefully switch 2 can redeem this situation, I'm not in a hurry. or maybe they'll update it to make it playable who knows... either way, 35.99 for 2 Epic Games it's alright!!
Thank you for doing these performance reviews on patches. I truly don't think you have anything to worry about in being truthful and honest when objectively describing the state of the game. Imagine spending a weeks worth of grocery money on a game and it be in this state. Annoying is putting it mildly. This is completely unacceptable and the company that force released a Switch port for a cash grab should be held accountable. This is like government level "we know this isn't okay but what are you going to do about it?" lol
Finished the main story with a handful of system failures and almost impossible playability at times. I don't think I will or can get it to 100%, but hey, it was the first time I played these games, and I really enjoyed them, especially Arkham City.
I already own the trilogy on xbox and picked it up for like £7.99 on sale, was gonna double dip but I'm not quite ready to splash out on such a mess. I really don't understand why they can't release them separately.
Don’t get the beef, played it lastnight for the first time after the update no issues at all. Little stutter in the Batmobile. But apart from that I have enjoyed it and it’s ran okay. Maybe I was lucky to play after the big update, and maybe I haven’t played enough to come across any major bugs yet

Very useful review, it's $40 at gamestop right now so your review kept that $40 in my pocket until further update
Buy a ps4 or ps5 instad
why do you care about 40$? you're losing thousands with switch
I’m one of the switch gamer who play the Arkham knight for the first time, I’m going to be honest with y’all.
Despite running a lot of issues of this game.
I have so much fun playing this game😄
You can still drive around a city, tank combat and racing
It made me surprise that how game run on switch. It really showed how much powerful the switch really is, which made me enjoy Arkham knight and the switch.
lol ,this little guy ..
Why can't I buy Arkham Asylum and City separately? It's almost like they KNEW that Knight was so poor and this was the only way they could sell it.
They won't apologize for anything.
Getting there now just try and get the Batmobile sections and other frame drops sorted then yes
Getting there? An almost 28gig update that has made it run even worse than before. They've gone backwards with this update.

One day I’ll pick this up specifically because Arkham City on Switch is a long time dream of mine. Might look at Knight if it gets some significant patchwork, but it’s good that City runs so well.
City and asylum work and look great definitely recommend just for those two games alone 👍
@@alexrivera633 I mean City runs mostly fine but Asylum runs horrible, awful framepacing, stutters and framedrops, not as bad as Knight, but pretty close, it's extremely choppy.

At $17.99, getting asylum and city and ignoring knight was worth it.
Definitely worth for those games 👍
heck NO. They need to release the seperate because no one should have by a bundle that doesn't play like this. Shouldve replace knight with origins or only did a double pack.
Not worth it. If you buy this trilogy, then you say to developers "i'm fine with this". Are you kidding me?
What's the framerate and res though?
Asylum was not in a good state for me either. City seems to run better tho.
Here's what i've noticed so far
FIXED:
- Massive stuttering with Batmobile
- Most game crashes
- Riddler Trophy invisibile wall bug
- Many bugs where you could get stuck in the environment
NOT FIXED:
- Performance. It's slightly better sometimes, but not most of the time. Not enjoyable, with even under 20fps moments. Really bad
- Batmobile section still have frequent and annoying stuttering issue
- Game crashes still occur occasionally, unfortunately
- Some bugs are present like in some face of NPC models
- You cannot finish the game because you can't bring Riddler in GCPD to activate Knightfall protocol (lol).
@@IconicBlaster2648 Maybe you've been lucky, but...now you're fucked like me 😂

Dave the Diver fans, a physical copy has been announced release in Japan. I'm hoping PlayAsia may get their hands on it with English or maybe a western release at some point. I was reluctant to invest in a digital copy but its worth a physical to me.
Glorious! Mark
@@SwitchUpYt comes with Guilty Gear content although I'm not sure what that pertains to. I'm keen regardless!
You haven’t played it on a better system.,
But you have made a lot of very good points, but I’m going to wait for a later update because despite the graphics being terrible, at least I can see certain characters and I don’t have to worry about shadows
wow kudos to showing everyone you can still beat an "unplayable" game lol
@@michaelsuezo the trick is to breathe and be thankful for the backup save data
Can we buy them separately yet!? I’m not spending money on Knight!
It is far worse than Cyber Punk was on last gen and that got completely refunded by the digitize store owners themselves with apologies and obvious backlash.
It's mind boggling that a game can even be released and sold in this state. Should be fully refunded all around.
This game didn't even work on the PS4 at launch. People don't remember that. THE FACT THAT IT EVEN RUNS ON THE SWITCH IS STILL AMAZING.
I didn’t have any issues with this one at launch on PS4.
Doesn’t really matter though, this switch version isn’t worthy of any price they’re charging for it.
The trilogy included actually is. Considering the content in this bundle. People just are more and more entitled anymore and they don't want to admit it at times.
Imagine calling people "entitled" when discussing a game that is an unplayable pile of shit as AK on Switch
You types are way worse for gaming than the people you criticize. If a game that cant hit 20 fps reliably isn't an unplayable than what are we even talking about when discussing acceptable performance?
thanks for this Mark!! Im hoping they keep on working on it. I really would love to try this series.
Don’t worry about being negative, we just want the truth
Haven't forgotten that it was unplayable on a high-end PX at launch, and then recalled when they couldn't fix it. Didn't expect much.
But Arkham Asylum is still awesome.
I have a Riddler trophy blocked behind an invisible wall, interesting…
They patched that, but once you actually capture the riddler and deliver him to gcpd the game freezes. You STILL can't actually beat the game.
I'm not hopeful....😅😅
Hehehe
Manage expectations. Something I have learned over the years.
One way to fix the lag issues when driving the car is to add a blur effect when the car is moving around the area as if you're moving fast besides other moving vehicles and once the car slows down or stops the textures quickly load in
"worse graphical quality than EVEN ps4 version"?! As if you dont know the switch launched with less power. What do you expect lmao
God the lack of AA is actually disturbing even on a phone screen, ghastly.
it really is
UhhhhAHHHHHHH! So frustrating! Thanks for the update and coverage though Mark.
Tell me about it no worries
Assuming the Switch 2 is backwards compatible, there should just be a free Switch 2 patch for Batman Arkham Knight.
Ue3 is definitely the problem this games needed way more work to fully optimise it for switch since the engine isn't natively supported on switch
I think they tried to make the batmobile a more consistent frame rate as opposed to dropping and rising between 0 to 20 FPS
The only fix is get a steamdeck

Xbox Séries S & Gamepass 😎👌
@@Twuangnot portable
For real. I got all of them plus Arkham origins and blackgate for less than $30
Yeah, it's pretty obvious.
Graphically, it looks like something between late PS2 and early PS3. It is kinda interesting in that regard.
We're at least a year away from that and I can't see WB/Turn Me Up putting any work into it that far from now.
but why?
@@purefoldnz3070 But why, what? Why did I tolerate the issues?
Do you erase the data for the update or make the 40gb?? Is because I want to update the game but I'm not sure if I have to reinstall the game.
@@SwitchUpYt Its not minor visual changes when you are in the gcpd or ridley trials. It looks way better.

The Joker loughs at this one
I think the only way to fix this would be to create loading segments btw areas not ideal but would solve a lot of probems and keep the fidelity up
Basically like Hogwarts
@@SaberKingofKnights1 yeah that's also a solution they should explore

That's exactly what happens to me i was enjoying the game really don't care about graphics but that bug about the data lost makes me quit playing it.
They should have just excluded this game, it would have still sold well
I really hope this game will be a big learning cerve for Turn Me Up Games.
I may be wrong but I honestly believe this is one of those games releasing that released on the old switch but is going to be performance boosted and run better on the model coming next year
I must be crazy but I think it is cool that they got this to run at all on the switch.
Doom: (laughs demonically)
These Devs are just lazy no other way around it
...they should have gone easier on themselves and just made Batman Arkham night, minecraft addition, and then the pixelation would work perfectly.
Worst part is the price I pretty much paid was for the other two games and I saw Knights as a bonus. Sadly that was the right attitude.
origins would be nice i know it was made by another developer but its still a wb properties so just like with bungie and 343 they could still re-release origins if they really wanted to.
They shouldve just replace Knight with Origins. Origins is better than Knight and Asylum anyway.
I was disappointed that it's not Panic Button who made the port. They did an excellent job in porting Doom 2016 and Warframe to name a few.
Doom 2016 didn't need anything done to it, just removed the OpenGL option in graphics rendering to lock it to Vulkan
Currently at 50% discount ... $29.99
No update for Batman Arkham Knight I think they want to forget about that game.
I absolutely love when you switch on the brutal honesty. Kudos.
Steam deck oled is the option now guys.
This is such a shame. I definitely won’t be taking the plunge on this unless a miraculous all patched up video appears before the switch 2 rolls along
I didn't know I could get eye strain with bad graphics... now I do.
