***UPDATE*** Apparently the rear wing issue I noted at 13:14 is present on all of the banshee figures. Mine was not an isolated factory error. McFarlane only tooled the rear wing for the left side, and then installed the same piece upside down on the right side before painting. Not a major issue, but still disappointing.
Can I just say. This is the best review I’ve seen of these. Really like how you tell it how it is and don’t try to sugar coat it too much. Plus your black light clip was by far the BEST I’ve seen. It showed so much of the bioluminescent the figures have! All the other reviews I’ve seen didn’t do it justice with the black light so thank you for that!
Thanks Cody, really appreciate that! I actually don’t do too many reviews, but this one really caught my interest, and there ended up being quite a lot to talk about. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Something tells me these could work with 1/18 scale figures. Keep in mind the Na'vi are about 10 feet tall. So a six inch scale Na'vi is pretty close to 1/18 if you do the math. Definitely got a sick display in mind with a Hiya Yautja figure.
Found the banshee today at Target for $15 and was on the fence on opening it but after seeing your review I think I will have to make room on the shelf 😂
I hear you, but it actually is just the exact same piece as the other side, but flipped over. They saved on tooling cost by not tooling right and left separately.
@@RedWagonDioramas look at some of his spawn and dc multiverse stuff the scaling is completely out of whak, you have figs of children bigger than grown superheros, heads dont match up with bodies, legs that take up 3/4 of a normal human figure, and the worst part is back in the 90s and early 2000s he was unmatched at figure making until neca came along

Ahhh thats sadz
You can add some heat and re shape it to suit… worked on mine it just needs heatgun on it.. and the claw try it
Any idea if the Neytiri one suffers the same?
Yeah I looked at store photos and they all have it lol

Great looking figures David.
I’m into dragons and monsters as well, these are tempting 😏🐉
It is really fun to play with actually. Great value overall if you like sci fi creatures.
Dragons and Monsters all day! 🤘🏻

Yes, you could definitely have some fun with 3.75" figures on these banshees! Thanks for watching :)

Wow, great pickup for that price! I saw some on clearance for $23 last week.
Finally got Neytiri today and I was blown away by how good she looks. Definitely want Jake and the banshees now.
Awesome, good to hear!
I love the Banshee figure even with the drawbacks. Keep in mind it's only $50. Pretty rad for that price!
I do agree with you! Great value and overall glad I bought it.
Only 50? Still a rippoff, it probably produced at 5 bucks a pop
Wow, that's cool!
Nice review!
Thanks David!
Thanks for showing, I want to love it, but it’s ok. Still might get it.
No paint underneath…
Yes agree.
I know! This is the perfect piece to hang from the ceiling, but the underside is so bland. It takes up a ton of space to display on the stand too.
Now I want the horse and the black cat like neytiri rode on the first movie
Yeah, one of those 6 legged horses all decked out for battle would be awesome!
The back wing is not a defect, it’s mis shaped from the packaging , mine is the same… just needs some heat and re shape it
I hear you, but it actually is just the exact same piece as the other side, but flipped over. They saved on tooling cost by not tooling right and left separately.
@@RedWagonDioramas it’s fixable, I’ve re shaped mine with a heatgun, and it fits perfect now
Ok thanks for the tip. I’ll try that as well.
Can hold Miles Quarich up by the neck with that large hand
I suppose you could! Makes sense.
Toruk (big red one) has 6 limbs in the movie, the ikran don't
Ah, thank you!!!
Just got one on Amazon for 25 dollars.
Wow, that's an excellent deal!
I got mine for $17 on Amazon. So, I bought 2. Now they have Jake and Mega Banshee for $29. 🤷🏾♂️
Neca needs the rights to avatar
Yeah they would do an awesome job I bet. I would want a lot of creatures too.
Neca will be twice the price maybe, kudos for mcfarlane on this full toyline
Anyone know the diameter on the base of the banshee? Trying to plan a shelf accordingly
Hi Bryson. I just measured it. 7" diameter.
@@RedWagonDioramas thank you so much!!!
Obi wan could look good on him.
Not a bad idea :) I'll have to give that a shot later.
"So uncivilized...." lol
Either Jake is too tall or the banshee is too short. Feel that the banshee is the problem as it is the more costly to produce.
I still like the set, but yes, wish they had made the banshee a bit bigger. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi,
what is the scale of the small sets?
😊👋🏻
I’m actually not sure. Maybe 1:18 scale (3.75”)? I haven’t really looked at the smaller ones.
McFarlane doesn't understand scale at all
I don't collect much of their stuff, so I'll take your word for it. For this release, the figures do seem to be an odd scale.

He is a bit big IMO
Thanks Jon ;) Still a very cool piece though!
Send me a avatar toy and banshee
You should ask the McFarlane toy company for that, not me. lol.
God damn it Darwin! Not your ride! You're a disappointment!
Lol! What else am I going to do with the Darwin figure though? Only bought him for the BAF piece…
@@RedWagonDioramas Nothing, humiliate him like Anthony Customs. Such a disappointment...
