How to do the Hawaii Accent (Standard English Non-Pidgin)

I driver uber and i picked up these two guys. The accent was confusing the hell out of me they sounded like scottish or super strong canadian. It was so strong it was almost a language barrier i had to ask them to repeat themselves alot. It blew my mind they were young Americans born in america...

Thanks for doing this video, you did an awesome job explaining what makes the hawaii accent. Growing up in hawaii, I never felt like we had an accent, just felt like we were talking english but in a shortened way with some slang thrown in here and there

Hawaii Pidgin is "throat" vocalized because of "Scottish" origins and Boston/NYC accents are "face" vocalized because of "Irish" origins but similar Celtic origins in general FYI 😃
